Y/N's P.O.V
I groaned as Lloyd kept the ear buds secure in my ears. He even put his hands over my eyes as we left the terminal. We had stopped, and Lloyd took my phone and turned the music down then paused it and took the ear buds out. Which was cute, so next time I tried to listen to music my ears wouldnt be bleeding, something I had always complained about happening to me. I guess he really listens. I still kept my eyes close, to his request, but mostly because he was being so cute being excited to suprise me where we were going.
"Ok. On three." He said. I nodded. "One. Two. Three."
I opened my eyes. At first I thought my eye sight was messed up from them adjusting to the light. But no. I dropped my carry on in shock and my hand covered my mouth. I know this airport. Tears weld up in my eyes as I realized where we were.
They brought me home for Christmas.
They brought me to Paris.
Both my hands covered my nose and mouth. I was still in disbelief. The tears fell.
"Suprise." Lloyd said. I turned around, and saw the whole group with smiled on their faces. I immediately brought the closest person, who happened to be Lloyd, into a hug and I let out a small sob into his shirt. The other joined the group hug.
"Y/N!" I turned and saw a ruffle of blonde hair. Adrien. Sniffling, I smiled as I realized this whole thing was planned. I didnt know who exactly was in on it out of my Paris family, but I was beyond happy. I quickly ran over and tackled him in a hug. Crying into his shirt. He laughed and hugged back. Turning around I saw my friends walking over, huge smiles. I pulled away from Adrien, whipping my ears and laughed.
"You guys brought me home."
"Of course!" Nya exclaimed.
"This was so hard to keep from you." Cole laughed. "Jay was so close to spilling it on the plane."
"I was not!"
"Jay, you kept looking over and getting antsy. Something you often do when you're about to open your mouth." Kai remarked.
"Hey, dudette!" I know exactly who calls me that. Turning around I saw Nino.
"Nino!" I shouted before tackling him into a hug. But being respectful to Alya's boyfriend.
"Yup! Still the same death grip." Nino wheezed. I laughed as I pulled away. Turning to my group, a few had confused looks. Which was understandable. Only Nya and Lloyd knew about him.
"Right. This is going to be alot of introducing. This is Nino, the 'DJ' of our group. He's our version of Cole. Kinda. Music wise anyhow." I explained. They all gave him a wave. Their nervousness understandable with Ninjago being quite rude.
"Lloyd." Lloyd said, raising his hand slightly.
"Kai."
"Nya."
"Jay."
"Cole."
"Zane." They all introduced.
"Its nice to meet y'all. When I heard Y/N was coming home I had to come. Also, I'm the only other one who knows. Besides Adriens driver." Nino said. They looked kinda shocked over his niceness.
"I told you guys. People in Paris are so much nicer, and it's only introductions right now." I shrugged. "Now. The luggage situation here is not as nice. We better go get our bags."
"Ok. Lead the way." Lloyd said. I smiled brightly, grabbing his hand as I led them to the luggage pickup area.
Once we had made it there, Lloyd and I already had our bags from just a minute waiting.
"I have to go to the bathroom. I'll be back." Lloyd said.
"Ok, do you know where it is?"
"Yeah. Just over there. Saw it as we were walking."
"Ok." I said. He gave me a quick kiss before heading to the bathroom. I quickly got a scrunchie out and put my hair up in a ponytail, letting my face layers frame it. I turned and saw Nino with a shocked face and Adrien with a smirk.
"I knew it!" Adrien exclaimed. I rolled my eyes at him.
"Yeah, yeah." I said. "We are dating. Dont start being a fangirl."
"Exuse you." Adrien sassed. I laughed at him.
"Ok, but seriously. Who's idea was this?" I smiled.
"It was all Lloyd. He called Adrien, got us in on it. Planned everything." Kai said. My heart fluttered. He did this all for me. I turned in the direction Lloyd went and saw him leaving the bathroom. I ran in his direction. He saw me and smiled, but turned confused when I jumped into his arms. Holding my up by my butt, but being respectful about it, he looked up at me.
"Uhh, is there a reason-" I cut him off by placing a rough, passionate kiss on his lips. Not caring about who was around us. I tangled my hands in his hair, pulling him closer as I tilted my head, deepening the kiss. He slowly set me down, keeping the kiss going. Not wanting to get too into it, I pulled away. He opened his eyes and starred into mine.
"What did I do to deserve that." He chuckled. I just brought him into another kiss. Pulling away again, I gave him an explanation.
"You brought me home and planned all of this." He gave me his lop sided smiled.
"I guess I did." I laughed and kissed him again, the two of us smiling into it. But it was interrupted by some dude putting his hands on both our shoulders.
"Are you his girlfriend?" The guy asked. Lloyd didnt know what he was saying, not knowing French, so he just pulled me closer and hardened his grip on me.
"Kinda." I replied not really knowing where this was going.
"Well, I can imagine the bedroom is quite fun with you two with the size your boyfriend has on him! Congratulations, dude!" My jaw dropped. The guy patted his shoulder before leaving. I was baffled. Bewildered. But yet slightly turned on, but not really. I'll have to save that comment for later in our relationship.
"What? What did he say?" Lloyd questioned.
"L-Lloyd. Did you, uh, did you go in a stall?" I stuttered. Lloyd's eyes went wide, probably realizing what actually happened.
"Uh, all the stalls were full." He said nervously. "Did he, uh, make a comment about my-"
"Yes. Yes he did." Lloyd's face went bright red. He cringed and refused to look me in the eyes.
"Lloyd." He didnt move.
"Lloyd." Still no answer.
"Lloyd. It's nothing to be ashamed of. Sure, its embarrassing to mention something like that. But if anything, you should be boasting about it. Especially to me." I teased. He finally looked at me.
"Can we pretend that guy never happened?"
"No. I'm quite happy with this new information." I teased again. I pecked his lips quickly. "Let's get back to the group." I said, dragging him over to our friends, giving him no time to answer. Walking back over, I see everyone already has all their bags.
"Ok, so now what? Where exactly are we staying?" I asked.
"Well, no one knows that your here. The thought was that we would take you to your place, and you guys could stay there. I mean your room is huge." Adrien said.
"So my parents have no idea I'm even in the city?" I asked. Everyone shook their heads. "And your just gonna assume my parents are going to be ok with this?"
"I mean, if anything I can have you stay at my house. But I highly doubt my dad would like that. But I'm sure your parents would be ok with it. I mean, you are their daughter and Lloyd said his mom and your parents were friends, right?" Adrien said.
"Well yeah. But that's 7 of us, not including the parents. The 7 of us can stay in my room but I dont know about the parents. We only have 1 guest room and an office that has a bed." I explain. "Which, saying it out loud explains the plan."
"Yup. So everything should. As good as your parents are cool with it." Adrien said. "Then after you drop your stuff off I thought you might want to come to our Christmas party at the school. I'm sure you guys wouldnt mind, right?" Nino asked the others.
"I guess. I didnt really plan every little thing out." Lloyd shrugged.
"I'm down. It will be nice seeing Y/N's friends and her city after shes been in Ninjago with us for so long." Nya said.
"Ok then. Off to the L/N Cafè!"
🐺💜🐺
The car ride was packed to say the least. With all our luggage, us 7, Nino, and Adrien, it was a little uncomfortable. Nya had to sit on Jay's lap, her refusing to sit on her brothers, and I sat on Lloyd's. Adrien was in the front seat with two suitcases at his feet. Me, Lloyd, Jay, and Nya were on the left seat - me and Lloyd practically apart of the door, Kai half way on Zanes lap, who was half way on Coles. Then Nino on the other side of the car, him too being one with the door. Everyone groaned with relief as the driver pulled up to the side of our Cafè. I practically fell out of the car, Lloyd following.
Once everyone piled out, we got our luggage. We all thanked Gorilla, Adrien's driver, as he drove off. I grew nervous as I realized I would see my parents. I dont know why, they're my parents. My mom always said there were no boundaries, considering I legit came out of her. Which was really nasty and she brings up things like that all the time.
"Y/N?" Adrien said, concerned. "You ok?"
"Yeah. I'm just a little nervous." They all gave me a smiled. Adrien took my bags, knowing this would get a bit emotional. I took in a deep breath as I opened the doors. The little chime rang through the normal sized cafè.
"Welcome to the L/N Cafè. We will be right with you!" Mom. I teared up as I see her poke her head up, doing a double take as she saw me, and the others standing by the door.
"Y/N?"
"Hi, Mom." I smiled.
"Oh! My baby girl!" She cried, rushing over as I met her in the middle in a hug. I could feel her crying in my shoulder, I wasn't any better really.
"Honey, who's here?" My dad asked walking up to the counter. Him doing the same reaction to seeing me.
"Oh, pumpkin!" He said, joining our hug. My parents continued to hug me, even as I tried to pull away.
"Ok, I love you guys but it's getting pretty hard to breathe." I wheezed. My dad immediately pulled away. My mom, not so much. "Mom. I think your gonna break my ribs."
"Sorry, sweetheart. I'm just so happy your here." She exclaimed. Then she looked suprised. "Wait, how are you here? We couldnt afford the winter plane tickets."
"Lloyd planned this all out." I said, gesturing to my friends. My moms gaze landed on Lloyd, who looked like he was gonna pee his pants with nervousness.
"Ah, so your KoKo's boy. I've heard so much about you." My mom said bringing him into a hug. Lloyd looked suprised at first, before hugging back. She looked at the rest of the group and smiled, then hugging each and everyone of them. Mom came back up next to me and turned to the group.
"Thank you for bringing her home for the holidays. But what about your parents? And where your staying?" Ah, then there was that issue.
"Well, our parents are coming in a few days. And uh, we really dont know where we were gonna stay. I was going to see if here would be ok?" Lloyd asked nervously.
"Of course! You all can sleep in Y/N's room. Once your parents get here, then we will figure them out. We have tons of blow up mattresses from old sleepovers Y/N had with her old friends." Oh. OH.
"Mom, Dad, I love you, but I really want to head over to the school for the Christmas party." I said walking over to the door. My dad cleared his throat, tapping his foot on the ground. And mom had an unamused face. Oh.
"Sorry." I groaned, grabbing my luggage and dragging it to the door in the back that connected to our apartment. I turned to my friends, and saw them following. Continuing, we got to the stairs as I just pulled the suitcase up, not caring about anything inside at the moment. Getting up to the floor, I opened the main room door - I wasn't kidding when I said my place was almost exactly like Marinette's, just mirrored and bigger because of ours being a cafè - and waiting for the other 6 to come in before shutting the door.
"Uh, wheres your room?" Kai asked, looking around. I laughed, and started climbing up the steeper stairs/ladder that led up to my room. Again, pretty much like Mari's. They all groaned seeing that there was more stairs to scale. Shut up, your freaking Ninjas. Y'all are like 5x stronger than me. I opened the latch to my room and finished walking up, dragging my suitcase with me. Sighing as I looked around my old room. It was pretty bare, now mostly everything in Ninjago. But quite alot of stuff still here since I couldnt bring it.
"Woah." Nya said, finally coming up. I smiled, bringing my suitcase to the area under the loft where my bed is.
"Your room is so dope! But, uh, where did you sleep?" Kai asked. I smirked at my friends, and pulled the ladder down from the loft. Mari had these weird stairs, I had a simple ladder.
"Woah." Cole said.
"Paris is different. Anyway, you guys can just leave your stuff here and we can figure out sleeping arrangements later." I smiled.
"You seem excited." Nya teased.
"Well duh, you guys are about to meet my childhood friends." I said, bouncing on my feet, bright smiled on my face.
"Ok then. How far is your school?" Jay asked. I smirked and just started walking down the stairs, heading back into the cafè. I saw Adrien and Nino sitting at one of the tables, waiting for us. They both perked up, seeing me come down with the others following. I didnt blame them. Our Christmas Party at the school was always so fun. There was a bunch of activities and food, and sweets. I was honestly disappointed when I realized I wouldnt be able to come to these anymore, or just Parisian Christmas' in general. The Akumatized Santa was fun.
"You ready?" Nino asked. I nodded my head quickly and headed to the door, Adrien laughing at my eagerness. I opened the door, and held it open for everyone, following the two boys as we crossed the street.
"We're here." I said, turning to my friends. They all gave me, Nino, and Adrien weird looks.
"But all we did was cross the street?" Cole said, confused.
"Yeah, this building-" Nya started, then realized.
"Ooohh." They all said in sync. I laughed lightly and started walking up the steps.
"You lived right across the street from school?" Kai asked.
"Now I understand why you always walked." Lloyd said, looking up at the building. Once we got up the steps and infront of the doors, I turned to my friends.
"Paris is a huge city, but you kinda just know everyone and everything." I shrugged. Then, one door to the school opened. Facing the door, I teared up.
"Dont worry Alya, I wont forget the cookies this time." Mari said. She walked out slightly, still in the door. She didnt have her normal pigtails in, but two French braids it. She had on a Christmas themed winter set, her normal Christmas Party attire.
"Hurry up!" I heard Alya yell. Mari walked out, and closed the door a bit. She looked over where we were, not seeing me right away.
"A-A-Adrien!" She shouted, then she saw me. "Y-Y/N?"
"Hey Mar." She screamed before we ran into each others arms, practically knocking each other over. I cried happy tears in her shoulder and vice versa.
"Oh my god, you're here!" She said, muffled in my shoulder.
"Yeah, I'm here." I replied, still in our hug. We had been wobbling in a circle, our height difference interfering with the hug.
"Marinette! I want the cookies! What are you-" I lifted my head and saw Alya with her jaw dropped. "Y/N!" She shouted, tackling me in a hug, taking me from Marinette.
"Hey! I wasnt done hugging her!" Marinette whinned.
"To bad! It's my turn!" I laughed at my two best friends. Alya pulled away, keeping her hands on my shoulders.
"I cant believe you're actually here! Wait, I thought you wouldnt be coming this year?" She questioned.
"Yeah, what happened?" Marinette asked, standing next to Alya.
"They brought me home for the holidays." I said, pointing to my Ninjago friends. Alya let out a long gasp.
"Well, first of all, sorry. You probably didnt know what we were saying." She laughed. "But, uh, OH MY GOD! YOU'RE THE PEOPLE FROM HALLOWEEN! AND YOU'RE THE BOY!" Alya shouted. I covered my ears, she had only been standing next to me.
"Alya!" I scolded.
"Sorry!" She exclaimed.
"I dont know how you put up with this one for so long." Mari teased. I snorted and shook my head at her.
"So are you gonna introduce us?" Alya asked.
"Yeah, but let's do one big one with the class." I said. They nodded walking into the building. Once we went down the small bit of stairs by the door, we were almost in the courtyard, and no one noticed me yet. I giggled as everyone didnt seem to mind 11 people walking up. Christmas music was playing quite loudly, but not much because of noise complaints and people should be taking makeup exams. Under the upper walkways were food tables and photo booths, along with a few games. The courtyard is where everyone danced and a few more games were. The first person to notice me was Alix.
"Y/N!" She yelled running over and hugging me. "You're here!" I hugged her back.
"Yup!"
"Guys! Look who showed up!" She shouted, grabbing everyone's attention. My entire class immediately came over.
"Y/N!" Rose shouted. Everyone shouting my name short after. I gave everyone their hugs, a few tears and a bright smile on my face. I had just finished hugging Mylène when Kim picking Mr up from behind, bringing me in the air.
"Kim!" I laughed.
"We finally can battle on Max's game!" He exclaimed setting me down and bringing me into a bone crushing hug.
"Kim!" I exclaimed. "I cant breathe!"
"Sorry!" He laughed pulling away. I faced my Ninjago friends.
"Ok, introductions!" I exclaimed. My former classmates stood in a line in front on my Ninjago friends.
"This is Adrien, you know him. This is Nino, our DJ and music junkie. That's Alya, his girlfriend and my bestfriend. She runs the Ladyblog and is a complete superhero freak. She is also a social media, tech genius. That's Marinette, our fashion designer and the shoulder anyone can lean on. She's quite clumsy too."
"Hey! You're just as bad!" Marinette smirked.
"Am not!"
"Girl, Mari has two left feet and your limbs are to long for your brain." Alya laughed. I mumbled a 'shut up' before continuing.
"That's Alix, the skater girl. She will beat you in any skating contest and shes very athletic. That's Kim, hes our athlete. He does swimming and he thinks hes good at video games. Then that Max, hes our smart one. Like, extremely smart. He codes video games and builds robots. That's Mylène, shes our band and music girl. Shes also shy. That's her boyfriend Ivan, hes just like Mylène, shy and a band lover." I said, pointing to each of them. They all gave a small or big wave. Minus Kim and Alix, who gave a smirk as Kim leaned on Alix's head.
"Then that's Rose, our girly girl and ond of the nicest people you'll ever meet. Her girlfriend Juleka, who is extremely nice and our emo/punkish girl. And that's Nathaniel, our shy artist." I said. I looked around, sighing in relief. "Thank god Chloè isnt-"
"What are you doing here?"
"Nevermind." I groaned. "I'm here for the holidays." I said, turning to the Blonde.

Dungeon Core Chat Room.
This is a slower-paced "experiment and dungeon building" web novel that tries to use the idea of peer-to-peer communication with Dungeon Cores instead of Dungeon to slave monster communication to break up the detailed dungeon building. Rank 1 description: (minimum met for system initialization...detailed description as follows) Each race was given a system by the gods to make up for their shortcomings and balance their place in this world. Humans: Abysmally bad at understanding and using magic unable to use more than the lowest of magic were given the "Skill System" magic in the form of premade skills with use, study, and mastery tied to experience. Elves: Intuitively understand magic and have long lives leading to vast knowledge and skill in their chosen fields. However, as a species, they have nearly zero sex drive and less than low fertility, so they were gifted the "World Tree System" with experience gained through the care of natural areas – gifting the chance of children to increase their numbers without dirty copulation. All “natural” or “wild” monsters are given an "Evolution system" designed around killing and consuming as many creatures as possible, slowly increasing strength and, at thresholds, allowing mutations to alter them multiple times. Dungeon cores are different. Unlike humans, they can see, manipulate and live off mana. Unlike Elves, they naturally crystallize after extended periods of time in high mana level areas. However, they cannot easily move or communicate and typically go insane without companionship. As a species other than the odd eccentric they are unimaginative. Brute forcing solutions without the drive to truly innovate. Thus they have been gifted with the "Dungeon Connection System" a magical version of the internet accessible by their peers that allows them to barter and sell: bait, traps, monsters, and knowledge, as well as entertain each other with “adventure streams” using exciting recorded battles and humorous reels of arrogant chumps biting off more than they can chew to often fatal effects. This is the casual story of a dungeon unluckily spawned far from potential adventurers forced to innovate beyond its peers to find its place in this world. Rank 2 Description: Justification. I've been on a dungeon core kick for months and while I love the genre – it's sparse with entries. Often the forced conflict gets repetitive and frantic solving of threats "power levels" the protagonist to god levels to progress the plot – taking away the nice steady progression fantasy I'm looking for. (Progression in this story is linked to how strong of monsters/traps/whatever he can create not his "level"...this is demonstrated by some of his newer monsters beating his older monsters not with discrete "this monster has 10 attack this one has 40") Additionally, the focus on 3rd parties with their drama takes away from the reason I’m reading dungeon core novels in the first place – I'm looking for magical crafting, experimentation and kingdom building – not defence from higher and higher levelled enemies looking to steal/destroy/control the MC. This novel is kind of just me writing the story I wish I could read. I like thinking about the experimentation that can be done in fantasy settings using 'mana' as an excuse to make up rules and try to keep them internally consistent. IE once I define how a rule works, I'm going to commit to keeping it – no breaking hard truths I've given when it's convenient, even if it backs me into a corner. Hopefully, that should make the story interesting to read even if it's SOL and less action-oriented. There will be problems to solve and a clear progression in strength (of created monsters and knowledge) however due to not wanting to force conflict for the sake of conflict the general theme will be closer to slice of life with few action sequences and no overarching goal so please keep that in mind when picking this up as the genre is not for everyone. Finally, I have a clear goal of what I want from this story (not an endless romp but a series of arcs and then a conclusion that's a couple of dozen medium-sized chapters long) I want to commit to finishing it or at least bringing it to a point of rest. I hate all the engaging stories that stop with a “hiatus” indefinitely so in the event I lose motivation I'll work to end this even if the ending becomes rushed/unsatisfying just to give a sense of closure. I’m planning on including several polls in terms of direction and taking feedback heavily into account if I get enough readers (but may choose to ignore it if it deviates too far from the direction I want to take this as in feedback like: “The MC needs a cartoonishly evil arch-enemy that wants to enslave him and force the mc to pump out magic items” or “the MC needs to make a body and learn teleportation then live with humans” will get shot down without consideration.)
