《Lloyd Garmadon x Male Reader |Just My Type|》Chapter 18 part ii

That can't be good...
A scream escapes my mouth as the general rips his sword from my body, causing blood to gush out of the open wound. I collapse and I cry as my body hits the ground. My vision is foggy but I can see him smile menacingly as he laughs and turns away. I hold my hand over my torso in the spot I was stabbed, trying to keep as much blood in as I can, but I'm weak and my grasp does little to nothing.
"WIND!" A familiar voice calls out.
Lloyd finally appears in front of me. He drops his sword and kneels down to my side. He holds be gently as I cough and wheeze up what feels like blood.
"Ohno-ohno-ohno-" Lloyd sporadically lets out under his breath. "What do I do?!" He cries.
"Lloyd..." I manage to whisper.
"What?"
"Remember... remember when we first met?" I look him in the eye.
"Yeah... why? (Y/N), what does this have to do with anything?!" He chokes as he holds me tighter.
"No... when I met the real you. In the closet," I whisper softly.
I see the expression on his face as he thinks back to the time I saved him when I was hiding in that janitor's closet at school.
After coming to the realization, he looks at me with a look of determination.
"I need you to do for me what I did for you..." I say as I hold onto his arm as hard as I can, not that it's very hard considering how weak I am.
Lloyd nods at me.
"I love you, Lloyd. I love you."
And that's the last I remember...
-_-_-_-_-_-_-
...
"Uhg..."
"I think he's waking up."
"Really? Lemme see!"
"(Y/N)?"
My eyes slowly open to a large white room that's nearly blinding. I squint my eyes and lift my arm up above the bright light aiming down right on me as I try to observe my surroundings.
"What happened? What's going on?" I ask, still not able to see straight from the light. But then my eyes suddenly adjust and I see that I'm surrounded by all my friends. And my boyfriend, of course.
"(Y/N), you had me so worried," Lloyd sighs with watery eyes.
"Am I in a hospital?" I ask more questions. That's all I have. Questions. "How did I get here?"
"Do you remember what happened?" Nya asks.
"What was it like to get stabbed?" Kai leans in, but then Nya punches him for the inappropriate question.
"Stabbed?" I ask as everything starts to come back to me. The only thing I can remember is the sound of my own scream and the blood running down my body and then my mouth... so much blood. "Oh no..."
"It's okay, (Y/N)... It'll be okay," Lloyd seems more emotional about this than I do. Of course, I don't know the severity of it yet.
"What happened... where was I stabbed?" I ask.
"..." Lloyd looks at me in silence.
"Well?" I try to urge his response out of him.
"Well... You were stabbed in the lung-"
"What the fuck?!" I'm more angry than I am upset. My fucking lung?
"It's okay! After you... we're stabbed- I immediately did for you what you did for me! Just as you asked! I took you behind the building, got you out of your gi, and brought you to an ambulance around the corner... You were taken in for surgery immediately after," Lloyd explains.

"What did they do to me?" I ask, still infuriated by what happened.
"Well, they fixed your collapsed lung... And uhm... now you have a chest tube in," he says with a worried tone, but he's trying to make himself sound as enthusiastic as possibly to keep me calm, which isn't working.
"Lloyd, I don't even know what the hell that is," I throw my head back onto the pillow as I sigh.
"Uhm... It's placed in your chest to make sure all of the blood is drained properly."
"That's fucking disgusting, man," I sigh. This is when I realize the drainage containers next to me. "How long is this thing gonna be in?"
"Mmm... a week or two? You're going to have to stay here the whole time... You can't go home with it," he says as we both cringe.
I'm going to have to be in this stupid hospital for over a week.
"Did any of you guys call my mom? I know... I know I try to get away from her all the time, but... I want her here with me right now," my eyes tear up.
"Yeah, she's on her way," Lloyd nods.
The room is uncomfortably silent, and I can tell everyone is looking down on me with pitty.
"Why did this have to happen to me? Out of everything I'm suffering with, I really just had to go and add onto it, huh?" I sob.
"(Y/N), please don't cry..." Lloyd whispers.
Everyone else in the room just looks so uncomfortable right now. They've never seen me so vulnerable like this. Well, Lloyd has, but I've never cried infront of my other friends before and I was hoping to keep it that way, but I just can't hold it back.
"Do you want us to leave you guys alone for a second?" Jay asks awkwardly.
I sniffle as I nod. Everyone slowly leaves the room except for Lloyd.
"We'll get through this together, alright?" Lloyd smiles through the tears in his eyes.
"Mhm," I nod as I wipe my eyes and smile at him thought the unsteadiness of my own breath and Lloyd takes my hand in his.
And that's when I hear a knock on the door and a nurse swiftly walks in. "Mr. (L/N)?" She asks for confirmation that this is my room. I nod at her.
"Ah, it's good to see you're awake. Are you doing alright?" She asks.
"I'm doing as fine as someone with a punctured lung can be, I guess," I shrug with a joke to cope with the severity of the situation.
"It's time to take your medication. You need to take these twice a day. I'm not sure if your friend here told you or not, but you have what's called a chest tube. You won't be able to leave the hospital with it, but I promise, it'll be over in no time," she cheers to try and make me feel better. But I know that however much time I spend in here, it's gonna feel like an eternity.
"The doctor will be in later to explain it a little better. That sound good?" She smiles. I nod as I take the pills and a small cup of water from her and take them all together. I hand her the cup back and she waves and walks off.
Lloyd stares at me for a second as a smile creeps on my face.
"What are you smiling at?" He asks, confused.

"She called you my friend," I laugh and so does he. As upset as I was just a little bit ago, you need to learn to take things like this with a little bit of humor, I suppose.
But of course, it is hard to stay optimistic, and my smile fades shortly after.
"Uhm... I'm not sure if you remember... But... The last thing you said to me before you ended up here... was 'I love you...'" he looks up at me from his position kneeling down at the side of my bed.
"Yeah... I did, didn't I?" I smile at him.
"Did you mean it?" He asks. "Ah- I'm sorry, that's a pretty heavy question! Forget I asked-"
"I meant it. I love you, Lloyd," I smirk at him.
"Wh... But you... really?" He asks, baffled by my response.
"More than anything."
I tighten my grip on his hand and he smiles at me. He looks like he's about to cry.
"Man, this past half an hour has been emotional, hasn't it?" I poke fun at all of the different events that have just happened since I woke up. I didn't know my brain could handle going through this much at once, but here we are.
Lloyd giggles as he releases his hand from mine.
"You know... after my arm was cut open and I got sent to the hospital, the doctors said I would be here way longer than I was. I healed, super fast. And when I got home... my mom... she told me something about my family that I'd never known..." Lloyd peaks my interest. "My grandfather... was part oni, part dragon."
"What does that even mean? Aren't those things just mythology?" I ask.
"No... apparently... there are other realms than the one we're in. They exist there, but they've crossed over long ago. And... That's where my grandfather is from. And that's why my dad looks... The way he does. With the four arms and stuff," Lloyd sighs.
"Ah. That explains it," I laugh.
"Yeah, well. That means I'm one eighth oni, and one eighth dragon. And, I was passed down the ability to heal super fast, aparelty. My mom says I even have the power to regenerate limbs... But I don't know if I believe that, since it's never happened to my dad or my uncle or anything..." he explains.
"So why does Wu not have four arms and pitch black skin?" I ask.
"Umm... genetics?"
"I'll take that as an answer."
The room fills with silence until the door creaks open. I look up and see my mother. Lloyd avoids eye contact with her and leans away from me a little bit. He's only seen her once, and he's only seen her at her worst.
"(Y/N)? Oh my god, what happened to you?" She comes over to my bedside and examines my pale, tired body.
"Uhh, well. I was caught up in one of the attacks at school and uh... I got a sword through my lung," I say a lot more causally than you would expect.
"Oh my god..." She stares in awe, "one of Garmadon's attacks?" She changes her tone and stares at Lloyd.
"Mom, please. Not now," I beg as I stare up at the ceiling, just tired of hearing it already.
"I'm just saying, maybe you wouldn't have gotten hurt if-"
"No, mom," I cut her off, "Lloyd was the one who saved me. If it weren't for him, I'd be dead."
My mom stares in confusion.
"When I got hurt, he carried me to an ambulance and followed me here. He's the reason I'm alive right now, so please, just be nice. Just this once," I beg.
My mother swallows her pride and looks to Lloyd and delivers an insincere "thank you." Lloyd nods, refusing to speak.
"Are you going to stay with me for a while?" I ask my mother.
"It depends on what you consider to be a while," she unfulfillingly responds.
"Well, you're allowed to say over night and I just thought-"
"Oh, no, sweetie, I can't do that," she cuts in. "You know I have work."
"Wh..." I'm baffled at how quickly she dismisses me like that. "You can't even call off?" My face contorts to a face of near tears.
"You know I can't afford to call off. We need the money," she sighs.
"But I..." was all I could manage to mumble out.
"I'm so sorry," she says almost in a condescending way.
"I... just... UGH..." I cover my eyes with my hands. I don't know if I'm about to cry, but it feels like it.
"(Y/N)-"
"Just go away. Leave me alone," I whimper.
"But, (Y/N), I-"
"Please, I just want to be alone," I beg once more.
"Fine," she huffs and turns the other way, leaving and not looking back.
"So much for that," I choke as I wipe my eyes.
Lloyd sighs and heads for the door.
"Where are you going?" I ask with a tone of desperation.
"You told your mom you wanted to be alone?" He says with his hand on the door as he pauses to look at me.
"No, I just wanted her to leave. I want you to stay with me... please stay," I sob.
"Okay, okay! Don't cry please," lloyd stoops down to my level again and grabs my hand and strokes it softly. "I won't leave, I promise," he whispers.
"(Y/N), was that your mom who just left?" Kai asks as he comes in with the rest of the group behind him.
Lloyd nods, answering for me as everyone notices my tears.
"But she just got here," Jay mentions with confusion. I just sob even louder, not even thinking about anything else right now.
"Dude... did she say something to you?" Cole asks as he steps toward me with concern in his voice.
"She just... She said she couldn't stay here with me... So I just told her to go. I'm so done with her, man," I hiccup between sobs.
"We'll stay with you, then," Nya says with anger, even though she wasn't even here to experience my mother.
"If she's just going to treat you like that, then you don't need her!" Kai says as he walks toward me.
"We're here for you!" Zane adds in.
Everyone takes a seat around me and honestly, I'm feeling more love in this moment right now than my mother could ever give me. These guys are all I could ask for.
They're all I'll ever need.

Hiya.
A lot goes on in this chapter, doesn't it? As you can see, I tied in a little lore from the show. Even though this is the movie universe, there's a lot left up for interpretation about the characters, so I'm just filling in what I believe to be canon. That's kind of how I came up with the reader character's element. I know wind is taken in the show, but there's no one in the movie with the element, so it's okay to borrow some inspiration.
Anyway, I hope you enjoyed. I'm ready to get to work on some new chapters!
