The race was about to begin! Chen spun around in his chair to face the two fighting at the starting line.
"Lloyd, Master of Power, versus Chamille, master of Form. Most laps with their Jadeblade when time runs out wins. Loser is out." Chen exclaimed.
"Thunderbladers on your mark, get set, good luck to everyone, but mostly Chamille because we all want the Green Ninja out!' Chen quickly said. Lloyd looked up annoyed.
"Now, go!!!" Chen yelled.
A buzzer sounded off and the two fighting masters took off. They started on a slow pace to gradually get faster.
"Oh, how about some spectator ambiance?" Chen pressed a button, making the speakers give the sound of a cheering crowd. A second buzzer wailed and the rest of the masters were off!
"It's us against the world, guys! If Lloyd has any chance of moving forward in the tournament, it's up to the three of us!" Jay said.
"We better get ahead. Staying at the back won't do much." Morro said. Jay and Morro skated ahead as Kai struggled behind.
"Lloyd's your greatest competition. If he loses today, what's left to stand in your way from winning it all?" Skylor said slow enough to stay by Kai's side.
"I'd never think of it." Kai said, not daring to look anywhere but forwards.
"Well, maybe you should." Skylor said, pushing past Kai. The red ninja fell once more.
The jadeblade wielders crossed the starting line at the same time, giving them each a point as a bell dinged. Jay and Morro took charge as Kai rolled just behind them. Tox and Shade tried to push them back, but the ninja stayed balanced.
Lloyd was now being pushed behind, as the crowd of Chamile's side blocked the way.
"We have to give him room." Jay said.
"And just how are we supposed to do that?" Kai asked.
"I got an idea. Don't touch anyone!" Jay grabbed Morro's arm and pushed him to one side of the track as Jay took the other.
"Wait! Who am I supposed to hold onto?!" Kai yelled.
Jay pushed one part of the blockade of people to his side of the track with his power. Morro quickly caught on and did the same.
"Thanks." Lloyd said skating through the opening.
"Sorry." Kai said, holding onto the back of Morro's gi. As they made their way through, Kai tripped on air and brought Morro down which eventually dragged Lloyd down too.
"Use your power, Lloyd!" Kai yelled.
"On roller skates? You crazy? I'd never stay on the track!" Lloyd quickly skated off.
"You're supposed to push him forwards, not pull him down!" Morro said.
"I'm trying, but I can't skate!" Kai exclaimed.
"So, don't hold on to me! We need to win this!" Morro got up and rushed off.
A bell went off as Chamile gained a one point advantage.
"What happened?" Jay asked helping Kai up.
"I just saw Morro get competitive." Kai said.
"That scares me a little." Jay said pulling Kai.
. . .
A horn blew as the night fell over the docs of Ninjago city. Nya was still in camouflage mode, following the other noodle trucks onto a ferry.
"Nothing unusual to see here." Nya said to herself to calm her nerves.
"Just a technologically advanced mobile base camouflaged as a noodle truck." Okay, maybe Nya's not that good at coping mechanisms.
"Aaah!" Nya screamed as someone hit the window.
"I beg of you, you gotta tell Master Chen not to give up on the puffy potstickers." Dareth banged on the window. Nya sighed as she rolled down the window.

"Nya? When did you start slinging noodles?" Dareth asked.
"Quiet, you're gonna blow my cover." Nya chided.
"Cover? Oh my gosh, you're on a mission. And why is your truck tripping me out?" Dareth moved his hand forwards and away from the vehicle.
Nya pulled Dareth inside and closed the window.
"But wait a minute. I don't see any noodles." Dareth said.
"It's not a noodle truck. It's my only hope of finding the ninja." Nya silently shouted.
"The ninja have gone missing?" Dareth asked.
"Sounds like a job for--"
"No, it's not!" Nya said.
"You're not coming with me."
An examiner approached Nya's vehicle.
"Looks like you don't have a choice." Dareth pointed out.
"Somehow I know I'm gonna regret this." Nya sighed.
. . .
It was 4 to 3 for Chamile as the race dragged on.
"Thunderblade never fails to deliver. Did you know I hold the record with a hundred points? Clouse can attest. Tell him, Clouse." Chen happily nudged Clouse to tell Garmadon.
"You were born with skates on, Master." Clouse reluctantly said.
"True story." Chen said.
"True story, hmph. Just like all of his far-fetched endeavors." Garmadon protested.
"There was once a time when you were quite comfortable with lying. It worked on Misako, didn't it?" Clouse said just behind Garmadon who turned away.
Skylor skated faster as she tried to catch up to Morro. She reached her hand out to grab him.
Morro, behind you! Look out! Be careful!
Morro spun around and quickly grabbed Skylor's wrist. The master of amber was surprised he knew she was there. Morro pushed Skylor back with his wind, skating off holding his head.
"Aah!" Kai fell next to Skylor.
"Your friend doesn't seem to like me." Skylor said.
"He's like that will all people at first." Kai explained, getting up.
"Well, he's awfully cold. Especially to me. There's something with him." Skylor said leaving Kai to fall again.
"Button, button, I love buttons. Aha, let's even the playing field, shall we?" Chen pressed one of his buttons and a ramp sprung up, Lloyd jumped up, surprised, but he landed and rolled as he landed to keep going.
Another ramp sprung up making Kai, guess what, fall.
"Grab my hand, I'll whip you!" Jay reached out his hand for Lloyd.
That's not him!
"Jay hold on!" Morro yelled. Jay whipped (weekend whipped) 'Lloyd' across the line. It turned out to be Chamile.
"Shoot! Sorry!" Jay said.
"Be aware next time!" Morro said.
"Ah, never forgot that lesson!" Jay added.
"Aw, his back is hurting him. Shadow, strike his back." Chamile said. The master of shadow disappeared in the darkened track.
"Where'd he go?" Jay asked. The master reappeared behind the ninja and pushed Lloyd's back, causing him to fall.
Lloyd dropped his jade blade, Tox hitting it away and grabbing it in triumph. Jay elbowed her then grabbed the blade back.
"You didn't learn that in your Mother-Son Skate-Off, did you?" Lloyd asked.
"I thought Morro's job is to be sarcastic. But, it's a fierce competition, Lloyd, and this isn't the time to judge. It's the time to skate faster!" Jay placed the blade in Lloyd's arms and they crossed the line.
The score was 6 to 5 for Chamile still. The other elemental pushed Jay and Lloyd back.
"Release the buggy!" Chen pressed a button and a jungle raider started riding on the track.
"Look out, guys!" Jay yelled. He pulled Morro and Lloyd away and to the outside of the track, just avoiding the speeding car. Chamile waved with a smug smile on her face as she grabbed onto the raider.

"She has the lead and she gets a lift? I know Chen wants me out, but this is getting ridiculous." Lloyd yelled.
"Sorry, Tox." Jay elbowed the girl onto the side of the track.
"Must be my allergies kicking in." Jay smiled as he sped off.
The people on Chamile's side held Lloyd so he was immobile.
"Check this out!" Griffin said.
"Gotcha!" Neuro nodded.
"Lloyd!" Morro yelled, taking his retracted staff from his belt.
"Heads up!"
The master of wind extended his staff fully into a glider and threw it along with a gust of wind. Lloyd grabbed the glider and it pulled him forwards on the track. The wind pushed everyone down, leaving the track open. Jay was free from his hold too.
The blue ninja jumped over the fallen people and Morro caught up with Lloyd. The green ninja retracted the staff and handed it to Morro.
"I thought this wasn't allowed." Lloyd said.
"The glider is transportation, the staff is the weapon. There's a difference." Morro said taking the metal cylinder.
"I'm starting to wonder how competitive you got as a kid." Lloyd said.
"I don't want to think about that." Morro said.
"This competition is getter more biaest by the second!" Jay yelled.
"Your very convincing. In no time, Lloyd will be out." Skylor told Kai.
"And he'll never suspect." She skated off. Score was 8 to 5.
"Argh! That's it! I may not be able to skate, but that doesn't mean I can't help." Kai propelled himself with his fire and he crashed into Chamile, making her drop the blade.
Jay skated by and picked it up. Lloyd passed the line again.
"Haha! Nice, Kai! Now you're cooking with Fire!" Jay exclaimed. Chamile stepped on Kai, chasing after Jay.
"I got it, you want it! Come and get it! Come and get it!" Jay taunted. Chamile charged at Jay, but the ninja threw it back to Morro making a sort of keep away game.
They closed in, then dodged at the last second, making Chamile run into her allies.
"What are you doing? We need Lloyd out." Skylor exclaimed.
"We need to stick together. I'm a ninja." Kai said.
"Ugh. That's right. And the rest of us aren't. I should've known better." Skylor skated off.
Kai sighed as Morro and Jay reached him.
"Lloyd's closing the gap, but the clock's against us." Jay said.
"So is everyone else. Garmadon's right. The more we exclude everyone, the more they gang up on us." Kai said.
"And your idea is?" Morro asked.
"I'm saying why don't we tell them about Chen? If others knew what this tournament was really about, maybe they'd help us." Kai said.
"Uhh, worth a try, but time's running out and Lloyd's got a lot of ground to make up." Jay said.
The score was 9 to 7 now.
"Gimme! I've got a job to finish." Chamile said pushing Jay and taking her jade blade back. Kay grabbed onto Skylor who was conveniently the closest one to him.
"Are you trying to take me out too?" Skylor said.
"No, you're right. We aren't all ninja, but Chen's the real enemy. He doesn't care about who wins. He only wants to steal our powers so that he can perform some sort of spell." Kai said.
"A spell?" What do you mean?" Tox approached with the others too.
"We don't know yet. But the only way to know is if we stay in this tournament." Morro slowed down to the group.
"This isn't about Lloyd winning. It's about all of us stopping Chen." Jay added.
"And why are you telling me this now?" Griffin asked.
"Because it's never too late to do the right thing." Lloyd caught up with the group.
"He's telling the truth. I know." Neuro said with his hand on his head.
"And you decide to speak up just now? Very helpful." Morro said.
"I'd rather be on the winning team." Neuro said.
"Then let's win this thing!"
Chamile pushed Kai out of her way and hissed like a child.
The jungled raider drove up to Lloyd.
"Need a lift?" Kai asked from the driver's seat.
"You took the buggy?" Lloyd said.
"We took it!" Kai guestyred to Skylor behind him.
"Take the wheel!" Kai jumped out and Lloyd jumped in.
He finally used his power and made the raider his own. Lloyd sped around the track. Chen pressed more buttons to try and and stop Lloyd. Little did he know, Lloyd has experience with driving in dangerous situations and tracks.
The score is 11 to 9 now. Then 10. Two more points and Lloyd can take the lead.
"Buttons, buttons, buttons!" Chen angerly yelled, pulling out traps and obstacles everywhere. Lloyd kinda liked the adrenaline in the raider.
Tie score! 12 to 12! Lloyd slowed by Chamile.
"We don't have to keep fighting each other. We can all win." Lloyd held out his hand.
"All of us?" Chamile asked.
"United."
Chamile took Lloyd's hand but pulled him out of the raider, making the vehicle lose all the cool aditions that made it worthy of a lego set.
"Whoa!" Lloyd yelled.
"Only one can remain." Chamile said.
Lloyd caught up with his opponent. The two went into a swords duel now.
"Lloyd might win. DO SOMETHING!!" Chen yelled at Clouse. Clouse started to chant one of his spells. Garmadon tackled him. Again.
The warrior in charge of the score board started to remove points from Lloyd's plate.
"He's rigging the match!" Kai yelled.
"I'll stop him!" Kai lit up his fire.
"Allow me." Skylor lifter her hand and used the power of gravity she absorbed to keep the score fair.
Chamile rammed into Lloyd, but Lloyd pushed back, trying to fall ahead. Another round of sword clashing and the two fell, with Chamile dropping her blade. She jumped over Lloyd and continued to skate. However, Lloyd put his jade blade out and tripped Chamile, stalling around 2 seconds for him to get up.
5 seconds left and the line was right there! Chamile made it in front but the bell rang just as Lloyd passed the line. 13 to 13...? The two panted to catch their breath. The rest caught up with the competors.
Lloyd looked to Chamile. His face lit up. Lloyd there his hand holding the jade blade in the air.
"She doesn't have her blade!" Jay exclaimed.
"Lloyd gained by one!" Morro yelled.
Chamile never picked up her blade after that tussle.
"Oops, I almost forgot." Skylor released the man in charge of the score board. The number fell onto Lloyd's bar, accidentally making the number 106.
"Look at that. He broke your record." Garmadon taunted Chen.
"No, no, no! He cheated! Lloyd loses!" Chen yelled.
"No way, Lloyd won fair and square. You were the one who cheated." Griffin stepped up.
"My tournament, my rules." Chen crossed his arms as he pouted.
"Those rules have never been in place. If Lloyd's out, so am I." Morro said.
"Me too." Kai said.
"And me three." Jay added.
"If you kick us all out, what kind of tournament will you have then?" Skylor said.
"Fine, have it your way. Form loses." Chen reluctantly opened a trap door for Chamile.
"Morro, I need to talk to you." Kai kicked off the skates, finally and pulled the master of wind aside.
"What?" Morro asked.
"What's your deal either Skylor?" Kai asked.
"I know she's someone new, but you seem determined to stay away from her."
"I was told once, that I'm special with my wind. I guess I just want to keep it that way." Morro said slightly pushing Kai away.
"If what you say is true, you are playing a dangerous game." Skylor pulled Kai to face her.
"Chen will find other ways to get you out of the tournament." She said.
"Which is why we'll need all the friends we can get. There's always hope." Kai told her.
. . .
The people working in the factory were being moved. They were all chained together as the walked.
"I don't know, Pixal. But I sense these chains are unbreakable."
Cole was at the end of the line when he heard a familiar voice. He quickly walked over to the cell he heard the voice from and looked inside.
"What are you doing? Don't make trouble!" Karlof scolded.
"Zane? Is that you?" Cole said into the cell. The line of prisoners-- no, workers, stopped moving.
"What's the hold up?!" The warrior directing them looked back.
"One second. Karlof tie shoe." Karlof beat down to imitate tying a shoe lace.
Cole looked into the darkness of the cell. Tow blue icy eyes met his.
"Aha! You're alive!" Cole exclaimed at the sight of his friend.
"And you're... Silver?" Cole started at Zane's shiny new exoskeleton.
"Titanium. Cole." Zane said.
"You look... White...?" The nindroid said taking note of Cole who was covered in white flour still.
"Ahaha!! Boy, it's great to see you! Look at that! You look brand new!" Cole exclaimed.
"Tie shoe? What shoe?" The guard said. No one in fact, hand any shoes.
"Hold tight, lug nut. I'm getting you out of here. I'm getting us both out of here. That's a promise." Cole smiled.
"Where's Cole?" The guard asked.
"Right here. Keep it real, big guy. Looks like you've seen a ghost." Cole joked.
The line continued to move.
"From here on out, Karlof, I'm making more than noodles." Cole said.
"I'm making trouble. Chen can try his best to split up our team, but he's about to find out what happens when we put ourselves back together!"

8 131The Trespasser
Synopsis Following his di—instincts, David finds himself in a weird situation; the next thing he knows, he's in a different world, dying, and manhandled by a big-ass alien. When the Source comes to his aid, granting him the access that—like every other sapient—he's due, David barely manages to get out of the fight with his life intact, but is that enough? Of course it isn't. The very Source giving him powers is also poisoning him to death. Oh, there she is, the petite female alien. Will that be enough to save him? Of course it won't. If he wants to be saved, he has first to save himself. The only way to do so is by getting to know the world around him, but even before that... Why the bloody hell did I have to be called Deviant!? *** Blurb? Blurb. The Trespasser starts slowly, I believe I've written a decent world, and I want you to find out what it's all about, won't just throw it in your face because of *levels*. I do not like stories that don't make sense. David is not a murderhobo, he respects life and answers to the world and the weird situations thrown at him with irony and sarcasm; so you are looking for easy killing streaks, you will not find them here. So, a man finds himself into the wild? It's a different world, and yet he can breathe its air? Finds himself in a lucky-low-level zone? Oh, look at that, people speak English—how likely is that? So, nope, not for me, gentleman. You won't find anything of the likes here. Again, a man finds himself in a new world but only thinks about the system? Yeah, that's not exactly how it works. David will try to find out what it's really all about, what the aliens want, how they work, why is that Fay really helping him? You can kill somebody to get levels, and yet there is not even a form of police? Not gonna happen here. Man becomes suddenly overpowered in a world where people can live for thousands of years by having enough luck to face only lower-level people? Hahaha—nope. Lastly...Spaceships and fantasy with LitRPG... say what!? Well, what's wrong with that? Let's make it happen, shall we? *** You want even more info? Really? Alright... David will start from the very bottom of the food chain, so there will be a settling arc—it's inevitable. David will find true companions, with personalities and backstories, and they will have a life of their own. There will be enemies, and those enemies will have a life of their own, too; there will be no evil just because. The world-building will have true depth; it will not exist just because the protagonist visits it. There will be both Fantasy and (Soft) Sci-fi—yeah, you heard that right. There will be rationality to every action taken, as long as the characters are aware of what is going on. There will be a godly system. You will come to read because of the world-building, but you will stay for the characters. The dead stay dead, and you will weep for them. There will be no action without a reaction. Lastly, there will be laughs. Are you still up for it? Then get in but fasten your seatbelts because it's going to be a wild ride. *** Release Days: Twice a week Release Time: ~09:00 PM UTC Words per chapter: ~3000 This web novel is also available on other platforms.
