maybe i was misunderstood. you always looked at me like i was a puzzle you couldn't piece together. you spent so long trying to figure out what was wrong with me. you didn't see the pain i was in. you looked past the cries for help and the loneliness i felt.
i was lost for a long time. i couldn't remember who i was. it felt like i was drowning, thrashing around and begging for you to save me. i was thousands of feet underwater. but you never noticed that i couldn't breathe.
