the truth is that i'm angry. i always have been.

people ask me why as if it doesn't make sense.

i can't forget the darkness i've seen. i can't ignore the emptiness in me. i've tried and i've tried but things never seem to change.

the truth is that i'm in pain. tell me, how could i not be? it's as though things will never get better and i don't know what to do. it's as though my brokenness won't let go of me.

it's as though part of me doesn't even want it to.
