Kai ran out of the bridge, down the stairs and into the bottom hallway. He flipped his hood on then kicked open a door and slid in. In front of Kai, Lord Garmadon was standing there, all four weapons in his possession.

"I knew I couldn't trust you! You the if!" Kai immediately shouted.

"Foolish child. I look forward to teaching you a lesson." Garmadon turned around.

"This ends now!" Kai declared.

"Indeed!"

Kai ran at Garmadon and activated his spinjitzu.

"Ninja-go!!"

Gamadon jumped up to attack Kai.

The two clashed in the air and fell onto the floor.

"I'm alive...? I'm alive!" Kai shouted as he stood up.

"You need to be taught a lesson!" Garmadon growled.

The two ran at each other again, both fighters were able to get good hits on their opponent. Garmadon kicked kai back however, Kai used the wall and bounced back towards Garmadon, grabbing his helmet and flipping over him.

"Kai? You in here?"

Kai herd Nya's voice from down the hall. The rest of the gang walked behind her. Kai slammed the door to the room shut and went back to the fight.

Nya walked up and tried to spent he door.

"What are you doing?!" She yelled.

"Discovering my true potential!" Kai responded while being thrown onto the wall.

"Arg! The door won't budge!" Jay tried opening the door.

"Kai thinks he'll unlock his power if he stands up to Lord Garmadon!" Nya told the others.

"Why would he think that?" Zane asked.

"He won't let go of the fact that he believes he's the green ninja!" Morro shouted pushing Cole towards the door.

"I get it! I get it! We need to stop their fight before they rip each other to pieces!" Cole said.

"Stand back!" Cole's body surrounded with an orange aura and he used his extra strength to bust spent he door. Everyone ran into the room.

Kai was standing on top of Garmadon panting.

"I defeated him! I did it!" Kai shouted.

"Are my eyes glowing?! Did I unlock my powers?!" Everyone stared at Kai.

"Is this my true potential!....?" Kai fiddled with his hands.

"Argh! Why isn't it working!"

"IT ISN'T WORKING BEACAUSE THIS ISN'T THE SOLUTION!" Morro dragged Kai by his gi and pinned him to the wall.

"How many time do I have to tell you that Garmadon is our ally right now!?" Morro shouted still pinning Kai to the wall.

"You always jump to conclusions and never think first! At this rate you'll never--"

"Morro!" Sensei called out.

Morro looked back at his sensei.

He didn't say a word, but when their eyes met, Morro let go of Kai.

"Kai. This "battle" of yours was no victory. Garmadon had allowed himself to be defeated." Sensei Wu knelt down do help his brother.

"I wasn't going to hurt you boy. I was only fetching your weapons." Garmadon said to Kai.

"But you were trying to steal them!" Kai shouted back.

Morro was about to yell at Kai aging when sensei put up his arm to stop him.

"I asked him to get them. Perhaps it is best you do not reach your true potential, or someone could get hurt. And that includes you." Sensei said.

The other three ninja shook their heads at Kai in disappointment.

"Way to go, hero." Cole said.

Kai turned away. Nya went up to help Garmadon up.

"Let me help you." She said. Kai's anger boiled up.

The ship came to an abrupt stop.

"Sounds like we've finally reached our destination." Cole said.

"Hey are you okay?" Zane asked Morro. He simply turned away.

"Do not take your anger out on a comrade. Please. I know he may have angered you, but please calm down." Zane said. Morro sighed.

The team ran out onto the deck. They reached the temple of fire. All around the temple, some lava was already flowing out of the volcano.

"The fire temple." Cole stated.

"The volcano seems to be on the verge of eruption guys." Nya announced over the falcon's radio.

"All recent indicators tell me that this place is becoming increasingly fragile. Even the smallest rupture can make the whole think go off."

"Then we must not use our weapons." Sensei stated. Cole, Jay, Zane and Morro tucked their weapons away.

Kai gripped his sword firmly.

"Kai....?" Nya said.

"Ah, yeah, yeah. No fire sword. But only because I don't want anything to prevent us from getting that fangblade." Kai said.

"Or my son." Garmadon added.

"There." Sensei pointed to an opening that lead inside the temple.

"The serpentine must be inside the inner core. From here on out, we travel by shadows." Sensei said s the others swiftly moved in.

"Its the only way I know how." Garmadom said.

The gang ran deeper into the opening and reached the inner core of the fire temple. The volcano itself. There, they saw a bunch of serpentine on scattered platforms striking out from the lava, and a single serpentine digging.

"There's Lloyd!" Jay pointed out.

Lloyd was still in the cage, gripping the bars.

"Ah! Son!" Garmadon exclaimed.

Lloyd bit his lip as he shook is head.

Soon they herd a metal clang.

"Ah! Out of my way fool!" Pythor hit the serpentine digging away.

The ninja slowly descended the walls.

Pythor pulled a red glowing fangblade out of the ground.

"The third fangblade is ours!" Pythor announced.

The ninja were carefully advancing, making sure not to be seen. Soon they reached he platforms near the bottom. Pyhtor held the fangblade up to eye level. In the reflection, the saw the ninja sneaking up on them.

"Ninja? Attack!!!" Pythor commanded.

"Light as a leaf! Attack like there is no tomorrow!" Sensei Wu shouted.

Multiple serpentine gathered on the bridge to take on Sensei Wu. Being skilled as he is, Wu defeated them easily.

The other ninja ran in different directions. Cole ran at the serpentine blocking his path and easily knocked them down.

Jay and Morro were on a separate platform as they knocked down their opponents. Lava shot up from the bottom blocking their path.

"Wind!" Morro called as the sent a gust of wind to separate a path. The two jumped through and landed on a different platform.

"Jay! You're up!" Morro called as he took out his glider to fly up.

"Got it! Lightning!!" Jay ignited his hands with electricity to shock all the serpentine around him, then Morro landed safely on the ground.

Zane hit two serpentine sneaking up behind him.

"Ice!" Zane created a pathway if ice to cross from one platform to another.

Kai was being surround. He reached for his sword but withdrawed. Kai looked down. This time, he drew his sword for real and the lava began to rise higher. Kai knocked down his surrounding opponents.

"Kai! The weapons is compromising our safety!" Nya said over the speaker.

"I will do what I must!" Kai responded.

"Let's get out if here! But not before we leave them with a parting gift! Boys?!" Pythor shouted.

A few constictai dug into the ground and came out letting the lava flow through and rise faster.

"Their making the volcano unstable!" Zane said.

"Any minute now, this place is gonna blow!" Jay said.

"We have to get out of here!" He yelled.

"Not without my son!" Garmadon said.

"Dad!!!" Lloyd yelled.

Garmadon jumped up to the stairs where the serpentine were and and fought every single serpentine that came across him. He picked up a sword that one enemy dropped and started blowing through even faster.

"Argh! Lose the boy!" Pythor shouted.

The serpentine holding the cage threw Lloyd off to the volcano.

"DAD!" Lloyd shouted.

"LLOYD!!" Garmadon shouted back.

The cage landed on a rock just about to touch the lava. Garmadon raced to retrieve it. Defeating the last serpentine standing in his way. The lava was rising higher and melted off the bottom of the cage. Garmadon had reached the pole attached to it then pulled it up. Lloyd swung off of the metal bard and embraced his father.

"Dad!" Lloyd cried.

"Son!" Garmadon held Lloyd.

"The fangblde's mine!" Kai shouted racing past the two.

"Come back! It's too dangerous!" Cole shouted.

"The whole place is going to explode!"

"Then I better be quick!" Kai kept sunning up the stairs. Pythor was about to exit the volcano when Kai threw his sword at the fangblade and stuck it to the wall. Pythor was trying to pull it out but it didn't work, it was stuck.

"Hurry! We must leave here at once!" Skales shouted. Pythor escaped the place with the lava jumping out at him.

"Leave it Kai! It's not worth your life!" Jay called out. Everyone was at the entrance but Kai.

"Not without that fangblade!" Kai shouted. He dogged falling stalictites and shouting out lava.

"Kai get over her now!" Morro shouted. Kai ignored him and kept running. The lava was rising faster than ever.

"But what about Kai?" Lloyd asked.

"Kai!!" Just then the ground around Lloyd broke off from the rest. Lloyd was falling!! Aaaaaahhhhh!!!!!

Lloyd landed on the surface of the lava and stayed afloat.

"Dad!! I'm sinking!!!" Lloyd yelled in fear.

"Argh!! It won't budge!" Kai yelled. Then Kai yanked the sword out old the wall and the fangblade dropped down.

Morro was about to jump of the ledge. He took out his glide and ran to the edge to the rock he was on.

"Morro! We can't risk you!" Cole grabbed Morro's arm.

"Let go of me!! Le-- LET GO!!!" Morro shouted.

"We have to get out of here! Or none old us will get out of here!" Sensei said.

Kai dropped down to get the fangblade.

"But my son!!" Garmadon yelled.

"Let go of me! Come on let go!!!" Morro yelled.

Sensei, Jay and Zane had to pull Garmadon back, while Cole had to deal with Morro. They were able to pull back but then the entrance was sealed off.

Kai was about to grab the fangblade when Lloyd drifted closer to him.

The fangblade started to sink into the lava.

"Arrg! Come on! Why won't my power unlock?!" Kai yelled in frustration.

"Kai!! Help me!!"

Kai turned to see Lloyd still floating adrift in the middle of the lava.

Kai's gaze narrowed. He glanced back at the fangblade. He kept looking back and forward between Lloyd and the fangblade. Eventually, he made up his mind. Kai stood up and jumped over to Lloyd.

"Come on! Let's get out of here!" Kai said holding Lloyd tightly.

"But the fangblade!" Lloyd pointed.

"Forget it! This place is coming apart!" Kai shouted.

"Ninja-go!!" Kai use spinjitzu to jump on the other floating rocks. Then we were trapped. Lava shot up and surrounded them. Kai pulled Lloyd in close.

"Lloyd!!" Garmadon and Morro shouted. Morro wouldn't stop resisting. Cole basically had to drag Morro out. The group reached the bounty and it started to take flight.

The volcano erupted.

"Kai!" Nya stared at the red palette if colours.

"Son!" Garmadon said.

Then, a flaming ball came flying out of the volcano. Morro stumbled whilst running to the edge.

The fire ball was nearing the bounty.

"It's Kai!" Jay pointed out.

"He's found his true potential!" They all backed up for Kai to land. In his arms, Kai held Lloyd. He landed safely and flippie his hood off. Kai was surrounded in a bright red aura. He looked at the bridge where sensei was.

Wu nodded his head. Kai shifted back to normal and collapsed to the ground. The bounty took flight and left the temple of fire.

"Dad? Is but really you?" Lloyd asked digging his father.

"It is, son." Garmadon replied.

"Dad.....? Why do you have four arms?" Lloyd asked.

"He's gonna be okay!" Cole announced. Everyone cheered.

"Thank you, Kai." Garmadon said.

Kai nodded.

"I'm glad you're safe." Morro approached Lloyd.

"Ahem. Don't forget you also helped." Cole coughed in the background.

"Well, I was because-- uh, I was supposed to-- and I um.." Morro stuttered. Lloyd hugged him.

"Thank you! Is it okay if I call you my brother?" Lloyd asked. Morro chocked on his words.

"...y-yeah...!" He said.

"But how did you survive?" Zane asked.

"How did you discover the key to unlocking your powers?"

"I knew when I had to make a choice. I wanted the fangblade so badly, to prove I was good enough to become the green ninja." Kai smiled.

"But then I figured it out. All of my training to become the best ninja, wasn't to in preparation to become the green ninja!" Kai turned to Lloyd.

"It was... To protect him."

Garmadon frowned. Lloyd was clueless. Every had a surprised expression on their faces.

"What? What is everybody looking at me for?" Lloyd asked.

"That means...." Nya said.

Morro turned around to grab the golden weapons. Nya grabbed some too. They placed we weapons in front of Lloyd. The weapons were suspended in the air with a green light surrounding Lloyd.

"Lloyd, is the green ninja!" Sensei exclaimed.

"I thought it would be one of you, but it was time the whole time. It all makes sense. Not only have you been chosen to protect the golden weapons, but also to protect the chosen one." Sensei walkers over to Lloyd.

"The battle lines have been drawn brother. Sadly, our family has only become more divided. Brother versus brother. And now, son versus father." Sensei said. The air was tense.

"Aha... This is heavy and all but..." Jay interrupted the silence.

What ever happened to the FANGBLADE???!!!!!" Jay yelled.

Outside the temple of fire, Pythor was slithering down by a lava stream.

Something red poked out of the hot magma. Pythor used his staff to pull it out and it stuck into the ground. I was the fangblade.

"Ah, it's so beautiful." Pythor gazed at the shining metal.

"Cool and clean it off boys, because we only have one more to go!" Pythor hit the fangblade to another serpentine.
