《Brother of Wind (ninjago au)》chapter 20

Nya pulled off sheet to reveal the skeleton of a fangpire underneath.
"Some villagers unearthed the remains of this Fangpyre a few miles away. It predates the Golden Age and must be hundreds of years old." Nya explained. The boys were sitting at the table, listening to her.
"Although the venom in the fangs of the Fangpyre genetically mutate human cells into reptilian, I've learned there could be a way to stop the effects without having to create an antivenom." Nya went on.
At the table, Zane was taking notes while Nya explained. Kai leaned back on his chair spinning his brush with a bored look. Cole was drawing a picture of himself fighting. Morro fidgeted with his brush in front of him.
Jay sported a new look. His hair was combed away from his face as her stared dreamily at Nya.
"If one is able to wildly raise their heart rate, hypothetically it could reverse the venom's effects." Nya said. Her cheeks turned pink.
"Resulting in... diminished, uh, excuse me, is someone wearing perfume?" Nya asked.
"I'm severely allergic to perfume."
Jay flinched.
"You told me it was men's cologne!" Jay whispered to Kai.
"Eh, I get them mixed up!" Kai responded making the other boys laugh. Zane high-fived Kai then opened a panel revealing some buttons on his arm. Zane flicked a switch and turned his humor off.
"Is that... Is she gonna be okay?" Morro asked Kai.
"Yep." Kai answered.
"Ah! Looks like class is over." Cole said picking up his papers and standing up. The others did the same.
"Time to start stomping on some serpentine before they find any fangblades!" Cole punched the air.
"Sounds like a plan!" Kai said.
"I'm excited to join!" Zane and kai walked out of the room taking to each other.
"I've been eager to get into some action!" Morro told Cole as they walked out. Jay stayed behind.
"Uh, hey Nya? I'm sorry." Jay walked up to the girl in red.
"The reason I was-- you know-- I went to kai because--" Jay stuttered.
"Look, what I'm trying to say is--" Nya cut Jay off.
"I know. It's just a cruel joke. I should be fine! Please, go fight snakes." Nya said.
"No, no, no, no! I was trying to impress you!" Jay said embarrassed.
"Look, before sensei left, he said that our heart was the key to unlocking our true potential!" Jay explained.
"Impress me?" Nya asked flattered.
"But I look so--"
"Fantastic!" Jay said.
"Look, maybe if you'll let me, I can take you to some big fancy restaurant." Jay suggested.
"You don't have to if you don't want to..." Jay stammered.
"You mean like a date?" Nya asked.
"Umm, yeah?" Jay said.
"Sure! I'd love to." Nya exclaimed.

"But I have to go now before the perfume toxins enter my blood stream and I go into shock." Nya rushed.
"See you tonight!" She waved goodbye.
"Yes!! Haha!" Jay jumped up and did a victory dance. While doing so, he pricked his finger on the fang of the fangpire skeleton.
"Ow! Ah... Man!" Jay shook his hand.
He pushed it aside and skipped happily out of the room. Just then, a drop of venom splashed on the ground from the fang.
Wu confronted his brother. Garmadon had his back turned against Wu.
"Hello, brother. What took you so long? You brought the katana from our youth." Garmadon said.
"Funny, you never had the courage to cross the temple wall, yet now you have the courage to come here."
"Why have you come to this place of darkness?" Wu questioned.
"A place as wicked as me? Don't you see? Here I feel at home. In Ninjago, I was physically unable to hold all four Spinjitzu Weapons." Garmadon responded.
"But here, dark magic has made me stronger and what was once impossible is now possible!" Garmadon turned around to reveal he had gained four arms.
"You came here only to possess the Weapons of Spinjitzu?!" Wu shouted.
"Yes, brother, and I refuse to allow you or your petty Ninja to stop me!"
Garmadon summoned four weapons to wield and started to attack his brother.
Wu took out his katana and slid under Garmadon's attack, metal clashing and creating sparks. Lord Garmdon forced all if the weapons against Sensei Wu's single Katanga and pushed him back. Sensei Wu slid down a hill into a pit of mud. Garmason filled to continue his attack. Wu got up and activated his spinjitzu. Garmafon summons these mud monsters to fight Wu.
"Brother, I've not come here to—" Wu started.
"You will pay for your visit. Mud Monsters, converge!" Garmadon commanded. The mud monsters closed in on Wu.
"You don't belong here, old fool. You should've known better than to try to stop me." Garmadon said. Wu struggled to escape.
"I didn't come to stop you. I came to warn you. To tell you—your son's in danger! Aah!" Wu got submerge with the mud.
"Lloyd?" Garmadon reached for Wu's hand and pulled him out of the Mud Monsters.
"What has Lloyd gotten himself into?"
Garmadon asked.
"He has opened a can of worms I fear I will never be able to close." Sensei Wu said.
"You mean we will never be able to close. Get up. You can tell me more later. First, we need to return home. How did you find me?" Lord Garmadon helped his brother up.
"Traveler's Tea. But I used it all and now have no way back." Sensei Wu explained.
"There is only one way to return to Ninjago. But to get there, we must pass through the Mountain of Madness and it is a long and dangerous road ahead." Garmadon pointed.

"I wouldn't have it any other way." Wu said.
"We should leave. Before it really gets dark."
A few constrictai dug up from under the ground and letting Pythor, Skales, and a few other serpentine out.
Skales checked the map that they previously obtained.
"This is it, Pythor. The map leads us here. The first Fangblade." Skales pointed to the amusement park.
"Maybe it's better to wait until dark, so we don't attract any unwanted attention from the Ninja or Samurai." He suggested.
"Oh, I have a feeling we'll fit right in." Pythor said.
And he was right. No one at the park seemed to question them being there. For what the civilians know, their employees.
-on the bounty-
Jay was suited up in a tux, practicing what he's going to say in front of Nya.
"Did I ever tell you I was the first one to learn spinjitzu?" Jay said.
"No, I mean uhhhh, I invented spinjitzu! Yeah, that's it."
"I invented a few other moves, like the karate double chop! Was! Hoo!"
Jay punched the air. He opened his eyes to see his left hand was a pale green and looked a little scaly.
"No... No, no, no! The prick from the fangpire fang!" Jay concluded.
"Oh no, this isn't happening. No, it's nothing! It's just a rash! It'll probably just go away! You're gonna do great Jay! This is your chance to shine!" He told himself in the mirror.
Jay confidently slid into the bridge. He wore a big scarf that covered his neck and black gloves that covered his hands. Also, his hair was still combed back.
Jau strutted past Cole.
"Whoa! Where you going, Mr. Fancy?" Cole asked.
"Didn't you hear? I'm taking Nya to a nice restaurant. A really nice restaurant." Jay replied. Morro walked in the room.
"Heh, what are you wearing?" He laughed.
"I'm gonna hang out with Nya!" Jay responded more confident than ever.
"Looking like that? That's a date." Morro said.
"No! It's just a nice hangout!" Jay said.
"That's a date." Morro said in response.
"Might wanna change your plans." Kai said.
"The bridge just picked up evidence of serpentine activity over at Mega Monster amusement park." Kai showed a picture.
"Hey, that's Pythor!" Jay said.
"Pythor would not be there for fun." Zane said, who was controlling the ship.
"We believe a fangblade may be buried underneath the park." Zane finished.
"Well, we can't let them get it!" Jay said.
"Aww but my date!" Jay wined.
"So, it is a date!" Morro shouted.
"Jay! If they get all four of them, Pythor can unleash the great devourer! Get your priorities straight man!" Kai reminded.
Jay shook his head in disappointment. Suddenly, and idea struck him.
Nya, who was in her samurai x suit flew stealthily into her room. She was about to take her gear off when Jay knocked on her door.
"Uh Nya? You there?" Jay almost opened the door. Nya raced to shut it.
"Don't come in! I'm getting ready!" Nya said from inside her room.
"Well, um—I just wanna talk to you about our date. You know, I'm hearing really bad reviews for the restaurant and I just..." Jay stuttered behind the door. Nya's bracelet glowed than projected a map.
"Serpentine spotted at Mega Monster Amusement Park?" She said softly as she took off her armour and hid her weapons.
"Know, I think we should cancel..." Jay said. Nya opened the door.
"Oh... Your canceling?" Nya asked
"No, no! I- I just, I wanted to know if you would rather go to the Mega Monster Amusement Park instead!" Jay said.
"Really? That would be perfect!" Nya said.
"But aren't you over dressed?" Nya asked. She spotted her samurai helmet that she left on the ground.
She kicked it into her closet, and it clashed with the other metal.
"What was that?" Jay asked.
"Uh! Nothing!" Nya said.
"You know what? I'll dress up too! Looks fun!" Nya went behind her byobu (dressing wall) to change.
"Hey, I was thinking we could take my storm glider there!" Jay suggested.
"Sounds like fun!" Nya said coming out dressed in a red kimono dress with white patterns on it.
"Ah!" Jay squeaked.
"I'm in your hands." Nya said.
She grabbed a purse and her helmet.
Nya pushed a button and the samurai helmet folded up until it was small and able to fit in the bag.
-in the realm of madness (again)-
We and Garmadon walked down a path towards the mountain of madness.
"So, what kind of trouble has Lloyd gotten himself into?" Garmadon asked.
"Well, I'm afraid to say, the worst kind." Wu replied.
"He's reopened the Serpentine tombs, and now that they have united, Pythor is trying to find the Four Silver Fangblades to unleash the Great Devourer."
"The very snake that turned me evil?" Garmadon inquired.
"Yes." Wu said.
"Why would Lloyd open the tombs?" Asked Garmadon.
"To be like you." Wu finished.
"I never wanted him to. Thank you for watching out for him." Garmadon said.
"You must also thank Morro."
"The boy you raised?"
"He has been more caring and concerned than anyone. You may think of me as your enemy, but I was first your brother." Wu said. The brothers continued down their path.

Truck-kun Gets Sacrificed
Driscoll is my own version of a world with a game-like "system" of endless possibilities. MC has his own status, classes, skills, magic, and a living greatswordstaff in a world of monsters, demi-humans of all kinds, and even the supernatural. Sound good? Well, at first for Tru, it was a dream come true(I'm sorry). At least until reality hits him again and again. His quest from God is vague and must be discovered by him along the way. Hopefully, he can figure that out someday but for now, this new world's threats and his potential for power are motivation aplenty. With His new partner by his side, he's ready to embark on his mission of infinite sacrifice, however many lives it takes. The setting is pretty standard for fantasy, with my beginner attempts at writing. Litrpg elements are definitely involved here but It'll calm down as the story progresses and the world's foundation is laid. Judeo/Christian themes and principles take a major role and will be a backbone for much of the story. The fights will paint a picture in the mind rather than just be a bunch of number crunching. While he is meant to be a sacrifice to save all of Driscoll, he needs to gain enough power and influence to be a worthwhile sacrifice, or so he thinks. And so carnage will ensue as he avoids death as best he can while at the same time sacking himself for others. Truck Coon is your average determined, jiu-jitsu practitioner, tax associate that just started his new career. He dies to save kids from a semi-truck(Truck Coon got truck-kun'd, making him Truck-kun) and is transported to another world rather conventionally by God. Upon his arrival, he is quickly confronted with his first conflicts in the wild. Give it a shot and let me know what you think. Chapters are currently between 2300 and 4000 words and I try to post weekly, but also deal with severe limitations that cause late posts often. I have zero actual experience with writing stories and only recently started reading web novels in 2020. If you end up hating it, let me know your thoughts in a detailed comment or review, especially if you love it though :D I want to get better and welcome the feedback, so expect changes to be made with any flaws that y'all point out which I don't already have plans to address in future chapters. That being said, keep it constructive in nature, please. I have no Idea how the formatting and such will go, so if you like or dislike some techniques I try, give me that well-appreciated feedback! Thank you for reading.
