《Favorite Mistake | JeongMi | by festoon》A Different 8 Letters

One day in August, I met a really weird ballerina. Absolutely outrageous. But the smile she shows, she is like an angel. And that is you, Mina.
Our first meeting was kinda hilarious. First, I saw you outside the restaurant where I was working, and you look really weird. I got worried because the people inside were looking at you, probably judging you. Thus, I walked out just to encounter a goddess. I was frozen for a second but thanks to that warm-and-confused look you gave me, I came back to reality.
Second, your hand was really cold when I held you. I wondered if you never go out, or if you like staying at a fridge, or you're just cold. Third and lastly, you asked a peanut butter for your burger!
Then I thought you were an odd girl. An unpredictable one.
But I guessed it wrong. I can read you like a book.
I know if you're happy. I know if you're mad. I know if you're sad. I know if you're uncomfortable or not. I know if you're hungry. I know if you want to be alone. And I know if you're hurt.
And of course, I am happy, knowing that I can read you easily because I know what will I do to you if ever you need my help. If ever you need me.
You maybe matured outside but you showed me your true side and I'm thankful for that 'cause I know that you're comfortable around me. Because in reality, you're just like a fragile glass.
That's when I realized that I need to protect you.
Because I thought you were a frail. An easily broken girl. A weak one.
I treated you like a baby. If you're hungry, I'll cook for you. If you're feeling blue, I'll be cheerful for you. If you need help, I'll give you a hand. If you need space, I'll respect it. If you need someone by your side, I will be there.

But my assumption is wrong again.
Because you are the strongest woman I know and will still be.
That's why I have great admiration for you. It's massive. I adore you so much. Until now. For the first time I saw you in the TV, a wide smile formed in my face.
'You have become a prominent ballerina.'
'I told you, you'll do great.'
'I told you just believe in yourself.'
'I am proud of you.'
Those were the first thing that came into my mind. I was the happiest. You know, I even bragged about you to my family and friends. 'Hey. That's Mina, my girl.' I badly want to say it but I can't. Still, it doesn't ignore the fact that I'm proud of you.
And it also became my motivation to chase my dream. 'Ahhh, Mina did a great job. I wanna make her proud too.'
You are my inspiration and motivation.
I am happy for you.
Your happiness is my happiness too.
As cliché at is may, I am really glad for you. I can see it in your eyes. The way you stare to your husband. The way you smile at your husband. The way you talk about him. You love him.
I am satisfied with my life but it is not the same when I was still with you. Because that's the prime of my life, me and you together.
Finally,
I want to tell you these eight letters. Words that will end something for us. And words that will start a new beginning for us. Words that describe the highlights of my life. Eight letters for you, Mina.
'Thank you.'
Thank you for everything, Mina.
If loving you is a mistake.
Then,
You are my
'Favorite Mistake'.

Asturian Warbringer - A LitRPG on Earth
Currently releasing 5 chapters a week Luke Kells liked only one thing about himself: his green eyes. He hated getting bullied, hated being poor, hated being an orphan, hated his weakness, hated the government, hated his life. If someone had given him a button to push and kill everyone but him and his granddad, he would've done it without a second thought. Then, one day, after fainting during a beating, he woke up with memories that would change his life. Magic, martial arts, how to craft special artifacts; he knew it all. Anyone would’ve taken that path to glory at once. However, he had to deal with a lot on his plate first. To even begin walking that path, Luke first had to deal with his own psychological issues. Almost two years of brutal bullying that was akin to torture and no support from the school staff of the police had left him with a broken soul. Before even realizing he could be rich or powerful, he had to bring himself out of the mental hellhole he found himself in. Oh, and his memories also told him the Sentinel Tower would change reality in six months to protect the planet from the Demonic Horde. But that wasn’t as important as not making the local bully angry, right? A story about personal growth, overcoming obstacles, and reaching absolute glory at the end of the path. This is a slow-paced, character-centered story.
