"Happy Birthday Mina!" Jeongyeon beamed as she surprised her girlfriend with a cake in her hand. Mina was shocked but her face quickly turned into a wide smile.
"Jeongyeon, you don't have to this." Mina said as she let go of their hug.
"But it makes you happy." Jeongyeon argued back.
"How can you tell?" Mina asked with her eyes glowing and enthusiastic smile. She still questioned Jeongyeon even though she's aware that she's happy.
Jeongyeon chuckled then placed the cake to a near table and immediately returned to Mina. She pinched the ballerina's cheeks, letting her intrusive thoughts won. "Because it's not really obvious. I can't read your face." She answered sarcastically.
"Anyway, I just want to put an effort for you because I love it when you're happy." Jeongyeon added, poking her girlfriend's nose. Mina was stunned when she felt something on her nose. Jeongyeon secretly put icing on her finger.
"Jeongyeon!" Mina whined. "I hate you!"
"I love you too." Jeongyeon teased wiping another icing on Mina's face.
,,
"
..
Jeongyeon saved enough money to get to states to find Mina. Week passed, but she still can't find her. Then one day, she found Mina's mother. She had no choice but to chase her.
"Didn't my husband tell you? Stay away from us, stay away from Mina please."
Jeongyeon stayed silent. Mina's mother let out a sigh.
"Look, we are happy now. Mina is happy even without you. However, thank you, you are one of the reasons why Mina pursued ballet. But she probably forgot about you. And... You are both girls. That's a mistake. You shouldn't have loved her in the first place."
But Jeongyeon's heart did. She didn't choose to have feelings for Mina but it was her choice to love her.
"You just wasted your money." Mina's mom added. "It's a pity."
But for Jeongyeon, it's not a waste. It's a pity she can't be with Mina anymore.
,,
..
"Jeongyeon, you need to rest." Mina said in monotone voice.
"I'm fine, Mina. No need to worry about me." Jeongyeon assured.
"How can I not worry?!" Mina tries to pull Jeongyeon. "You're hot." She said when she touched her girlfriend's forehead.
"I know." Jeongyeon joked.
Mina hit her arm and Jeongyeon winced in pain. "Mina?! Why did you hit me?! You know I am sick but why did you hurt me?!"
"It came out of your mouth, 'I am sick'. So, you better let me take care of you." Jeongyeon admits defeat and follows Mina.

It's not bad. Jeongyeon thinks. Mina taking care of her. It melts her heart when Mina is worried for her.
"I feel like I always want to get sick so you can always take care of me like this." Jeongyeon joked again.
"Don't say that." Mina said and averted her eyes to Jeongyeon's. "I will still take care of you even if you are not sick." She added. Her girlfriend smiled in pleasure.
"I'll volunteer too." Jeongyeon said making her girlfriend confuse.
"I, too, will still take care of you even if you are not sick, Mina." She grinned.
,,
..
"I do." Mina said staring at Jeongyeon's eyes genuinely.
"Really?!" Jeongyeon asked in disbelief.
"Yes. I do love you." Mina smiled.
Jeongyeon's eyes become teary as she heard those words.
"Can you repeat, Mina? I may have heard it wrong."
Mina chuckled. She stepped closer to Jeongyeon and cupped her face. She then gave the warmest smile.
"I love you, Jeongyeon."

The sun waving at a two pretty girls. Tzuyu and Sana. The taller wants to be alone with her friend so they are outside the cathedral. There is a garden next to it and Tzuyu thinks it's the perfect spot.
Perfect spot to confess her feelings towards Sana.
"Tzuyu, why are we here?" Sana cluelessly asked. But the tall girl ignored her, holding her hand, walking to the best area for confession. They stand between flowers and plants. A place where there is not much sunlight.
"It's perfect here." Tzuyu muttered but Sana heard it clearly. She's now staring at the taller in confusement.
Now, Tzuyu then meets Sana's eyes. She smiled. 'Gosh. That dimple of hers'. Sana thought not breaking an eye contact.
"Sana."
One word.
It's only one word but it will melt Sana. Always.
Her gaze,
Her smile,
Her dimple,
And the way she needs to look up just to meet Tzuyu's eyes.
Everything,
Everything about her makes Sana freeze and melt at the same time. Ironic, isn't it?
"There's something I want to say. I need to say. Because it will haunt me forever if I let this chance to slip." Tzuyu gulps while Sana is still staring at her waiting for Tzuyu to say what she wants.
Tzuyu cleared her throat and chuckled. "I have a confession..." She paused but before she could say something, Sana talked.
"Wait. Why are you confessing to me, I'm not the priest here-" Sana gasps. "Tzuyu?! Did you do something bad?! What sin have you committed?!"
Tzuyu holds Sana's shoulder, trying to calm her down. She laughs at the latter. 'How could I fall in love with a girl like this?' But because of this, she believes that 'love is blind'.

"Calm down. It's not what you think..." She rubs her nape "Sana... I-"
"Omg! Tzuyu! You have a crush on me?!"
"No, no. 'Crush' is not the right term. I-I have feelings for you." She face palm. Sana can't believe it. It's impossible, especially it's Tzuyu we're talking about.
"Tell me it's a prank." She said looking at the surroundings if her friends are involved in this.
She averted her gaze to Tzuyu only to encounter a sincerity in the taller's eyes. 'Oh gosh. She loves me.'
"For how long?"
"I don't exactly know when." Tzuyu shrugged "I just know I've been feeling this for a long time."
Sana cursed herself for being clueless. At least, now she knows that being detective is not fit for her.
"I loved you for years and I still plan on doing it for the next years, decades, and so on."
Tzuyu said in a soft yet dominant voice.
And that's when Sana knew that the world is healing. Maybe it's exaggerating but for Sana it's not enough to explain what she's feeling.
"I'm sorry! I'm so oblivious! And so stupid! I'm too numb! And I hurt your feelings for having a relationship with others in front of you. And you're always by my side, supporting my past relationships, not aware of your affections to me."
Tzuyu laughed at the sight.
"I'M SO STUPID!" Sana shouts from the top of her lungs. She tries to catch her breath. "That felt so good." She mumbled and turned her gaze to the taller.
They were friends since their childhood. Their parents are friends so obviously they became close to each other. Since elementary to college, they both went to a same schools. Eventually, Tzuyu fell in love with her friend, Sana. She loves everything about her.
And there's Sana being a nonchalant woman. Living her life to the most. She has no worries because she knows that Tzuyu will always be there for her. And she thinks that Tzuyu is dumb for that. But Tzuyu is a smart girl, she has the most awards among friends. She's so smart for what?! Tzuyu's dumb for staying by her side even though she's carefree. Dumb for taking care of her even though she only gives trouble. Dumb for worrying about her because she should mind her own problems.
Sana don't know if Tzuyu is dumb or she really is just martyr. Too kind to prioritize Sana than herself.
"Tzuyu, sorry for everything-"
"Shhh." Tzuyu placed her middle and index finger to Sana's lips, looking at her eyes in sincerity. "You don't need to worry about that." She chuckled.
"I just feel so... stupid." Sana looked down, staring at the floor, fidgeting her fingers.
"God! Please. We're all stupid." The taller moved her fingers to Sana's chin and she lifted the shorter's head at her so they could make eye contact.
"Small, stupid humans. It's like our whole deal." Tzuyu continues. "For most of our history, we know the Earth was the center of universe. We killed and tortured people for saying otherwise." She smiled at Sana.
"That is, until we discovered that the Earth is actually revolving around the Sun, which is just one sun out of trillions suns. And now look at us, trying to deal with the fact that all of that exists inside of one universe out of who knows how many." Tzuyu paused and holds Sana's hands.
"Every new discovery is just a reminder,
We're all small and stupid."
Sana smiled at her in amusement.
"And who knows what great new discovery is coming next to make us feel even smaller pieces of shit." Tzuyu shrugged.
Sana couldn't help but to burst out laughing. It's her first time hearing Tzuyu to say some types of words that is unexpected. The taller girl laughs with her.
'Gosh. That laugh of hers.' Sana thought again. Her heart stopped for a second. Her happy face turned into realization. Her smile turned into frowned. Tzuyu noticed it.
"Are you okay?" Tzuyu asked in worry.
"Tzuyu."
"Wha-"
Tzuyu was cut off. Sana leaned forward and thank God she's wearing high heels for her to reach Tzuyu's height. That's when Tzuyu realized that Sana's lips met hers.
Having feelings for someone is the best and the worst. It depends on our fates. Sometimes, we fell in love to unexpected one. Opposite gender or not, fat or thin, smart or dumb, weird or ordinary, tall or short. I won't say pretty or ugly because we humans are beautiful. Indeed, we all have flaws but these flaws make us different. Remember, out of all seven billions of people, we are unique from each other. And that's what make us all special. What's more is out of seven billions of unique people in the world, there is at least one who loves you.
At times, we don't choose someone because sometimes that's what our mind says. Just like these four girls. They didn't choose it, their hearts did.

In a world of swords, magic, and wonders, Vreil suddenly loses his family to a twist of fate. On his quest to survive, he follows a mysterious wizard, and becomes embroiled in a revolution he knows little of. He cultivates magic, learns to fight with a blade, and meets worthy companions. He grows stronger and more mature, gradually turning from prey into a hunter. And in his journey, Vreil clashes with pirates, immortal jokesters, wolves and, even worse, sheep. Can he use magic, blade and wit to fight them off? Or will he be the one to fall instead? Follow Vreil on his adventures. Witness the dawn of an era. 🧙🧙🧙 This is a story I'd written a few years back, and I figured it's a waste to just let it sit around. Most of it is already written, but I'm going through the chapters and editing the shit out of them. This story is NOT a Lit-RPG, so no blue screens or anything of the sort. It is just fast-paced fiction with slight cultivation elements. Updates are bi-daily (so every 2 days), and chapters are 1500-3000 words. As always, feedback is more than welcome. Why are you still reading the synopsis? You have already decided. Go ahead, give this story a shot. It's worth it.
