"Can you be the chef at our wedding?"
For a moment, there's a silence.
Thanks to someone, the tension in the atmosphere was gone. "Your queen Dahyun is here!" said a tiny but a cute girl, raising her hands, acting like a queen. "Why y'all so quiet?" she asked "Woah... That looks good." she gasped at the food. "Excuse me." she pushed Momo who was minding her own business, took a seat and started to eat. Momo almost choked by the sudden pushed on her back because of Dahyun. She glared at her, while her cheeks are full.
Fortunately, the awkwardness and silence between them was filled thanks to Dahyun. You can hear loud and clearly of Dahyun's laugh. And Nayeon laughing with her, unintentionally slapping the back of Sana besides her.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Past~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Sun shining but the clouds cover it, flock of birds on wires, a peaceful crowd walking down the street. An elegant looking girl is in front of a restaurant. Biting her nails, thinking if she should go inside. She's a very shy person, I might say. Walking back and forth...
Should I? Should I?
Not knowing, people see her inside. It's tinted. So, she looks weird outside while some people are watching her from inside the restaurant.
She's Mina by the way.
While she's still biting her nails, someone came out from the restaurant, a blond short-haired girl, wearing a brown apron. "Hi, Miss." she said and Mina was startled. Mina awkwardly smiled at her. "Can I help you with something?" the short-haired girl asked. Mina's cheek became rosy when she saw the blond girl.
"Oh, uhmm... Uhmmm."
The short-haired girl let out a chuckle. She gave a hand to Mina which made her confused. She slowly shakes her head signaling to take her hand. Mina accepted her hand. It's warm and soft. Mina thought. When Mina put her hands on her, the latter smiles and pulls her to restaurant. As they entered, Mina felt embarrassment. She saw the window is tinted and you can see the outside. She look down on the floor and closed her eyes, she thinks she looked stupid earlier. She came back to reality when the short-haired girl let go of her hand. Mina is now in front of the counter. The blond girl that seems to be working there is waiting for her to say what food to order. "What do you want miss?" the blond girl asked. Mina taps her fingers as she's scanning the menu. Her eyes widened slightly when she saw a food that craves her. She looks up at the blond girl and smiles "Can I have a burger?" The blond girl smiles back
"Noted. Is that all?"
"Then, iced water."
"Please wait for your—."
"Oh! Can I ask something?"
"Sure, for our precious customers." the blond girl gave an assuring smile "What is it?" she added.
Mina hesitates. She's really shy especially she looked weird outside the restaurant earlier. She opened her mouth, getting ready to speak. She took a deep breath first.
Should I?
The blond girl looks at her. She gave an assuring smile again, and all ears. Mina calmed down a bit, thanks to the blond girl.
"Do you have peanut butter?" Mina awkwardly laughed. The blond girl is puzzled but nods anyway.
Mina waits patiently at her seat. Palm on her chin and observes the surroundings. Someone approached her. "Here's your food, Miss." the blond girl served the burger to her table. "And this is the peanut butter." Mina's eyes sparkles as she watch the food that's serving to her. "Thank you."
Jeongyeon.
She saw the name tag on the blond girl's apron. She mentally chuckled, don't know why but she's kinda happy knowing her name. Then, Jeongyeon walked away to counter. She sits at the counter and her eyes laid on Mina.
Before Mina could eat the burger, she dipped it in peanut. Hence, Jeongyeon eyes widened and her jaw dropped at the scene. She's curious as to why the elegant girl was asking for peanut butter but she didn't expect that she'll combine the burger with it. Mina looks happy. It's delicious. Jeongyeon is still functioning what she's seeing. How could she enjoy that? She thought.
Mina giggled while munching the food. Jeongyeon laughed a little at the sight. She finds it cute. She didn't expect that an elegant girl will combine a burger and peanut butter. She just watch the elegant girl enjoying her food, her time.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~Present~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Jeongyeon lying down on couch. Her arms on her head, thinking about what happened earlier. Wondering if she'll accept Mina's request. It's simple, she'll just cook but it's kinda hard for her. Jeongyeon moved on, it's just that things happened so sudden.
Jeongyeon is deep in thoughts.
She chuckled at the memory. The girl that is unforgettable. The girl she met before who combined burger and peanut butter. It's really unexpected. She just served a burger and peanut butter to a stranger, now she will cook for the same person at her own wedding. What's worse, she's her ex. Should she accept the invitation?
Should I?

Essence Eater (A Super Progression Fantasy)
Gods. Demons. Aliens. Superheroes. Supervillains.Consume them all for power. Eighty years have passed since WW2, when Prime took to the skies and ended the war. No one knows what gave him his power, or what birthed the wave of supers that came after. Some claimed the nuclear bombs dropped in Japan cracked the barrier between Universes, allowing alien energies to enter the dimension. Others believed the wars finally triggered what humanity needed to reach a new stage of evolution. Daniel Das lives with his uncle in post-super London, the League of Hero's primary hub. He's spent all of his twenty-one years pushing himself, training in martial arts and studying supers, hoping he'll awaken his metagene and gain super powers. The cut-off age is close, but he hasn't yet awakened superpowers. Meanwhile, the League is steadily losing parts of the city to the growing villain factions. Daniel's uncle wishes to keep him away from the world of supers, but with the hot zones closing in, that's easier said than done. There are villains selling unregulated superpowers to gangs and dark days are on the horizon. Despite his limitations, there is no stopping Daniel. He is ravenous for power. If needed, he will ally with demons if they give him the power to protect his family and home. -------------------------------- This world building is heavily inspired by Worm and The Boys. It features dark, realistic storylines, corporation-funded heroes, and villains who aren't necessarily bad guys. The protagonist's powerset involves the crowd-favourite consuming enemies for power trope, too. The GameLit/LitRPG elements are super light and takes a while to kick in. The powercreep is slow as well since I don't enjoy overpowered protagonists. Chapters everyday until book 1 is complete. The schedule will change once I reach that point.
