We're adding a new rule to our list of club rules. It's not something that will impact everyone and for the most part, it shouldn't be anything huge to those it does impact but from now on...

Say you are required to read two chapters for another club, in the two chapters you read for that club, we will not accept joint comments with #JAMBC + #OtherClubBC. You must read a third chapter, the one we require for our club, in addition to whatever is asked of you from the other club.

Our reasoning for this is simple, many people join multiple clubs in order to gain more feedback and more reads. If the work is being combined by their partner, they're getting the same number of reads and the same amount of feedback as they would if they were in one club. It defeats the whole purpose of joining more than one. So please, keep this in mind if ever partnered with someone you are also reading in another club.

As we said, this shouldn't be a big issue. Most, if not all, of our members who are in other clubs already do this. So consider it business as usual. Thanks!

We know that sounds like a lot, but we have faith in you. That's only 500 words a day, and we are here to encourage you along the way. It's also a great warm-up before Nano!

When leaving your done comment you MUST tag your admin. Not doing so could earn you a strike and sitting out a round to clear that strike.

We're not trying to be hardasses or mean in any way. But without those tags, your admin could miss your done comment and if they do and you've already been striked/removed from the round, we are not going back into the round to add you. And if you've done this more than once or make it a habit, even if we see your comment, we'll have you sit out a round. A good chunk of you have been in the book club scene long enough to know how this goes, and if you can't make the effort to help us out by tagging, then we won't make the effort to include you in every round. Help us and we'll help you, simple!
