A quick reminder that the process for new members has changed some.
Once you fill out an application, our founders will review your first chapter. If you pass the screening, we will accept your app. If you don't pass, we will kindly advise you to take some time, edit your book, and reapply in the future.
After being accepted, you will be assigned a founder's book where you will read one chapter and leave comments just as you would in a regular bc assignment. All our regular comment rules apply to this so make sure you've read the "How this Bish Works" chapter so that you understand them. When you are done this mini assignment, you will leave a "done" comment in a reply to your application comment on this page.
Your "done" comment should look like this: @JamFestBC Done chapter (number) of (book title)
If you complete your mini assignment correctly and leave your done comment, you'll begin your two-week trial membership. Two-week trial memberships now consist of being placed in a trial reading group with two of our founders. The assignments are the same and you can not miss any during the trial. Furthermore, this is a time to show that you can give useful feedback as well as let our founders get a better look at your book. At the end of the two-week trial, you will either be messaged that you have passed or that you have been denied.
If all four are maxed out, you will have to wait until someone finishes their trial and we have an opening. We will let you know in your "accepted" comment if this is the case and when we expect to have an opening for you.
a new trial member may be turned down after the first week if it is obvious their book needs more help than we can provide or if they fail to complete their first week.

you can take the feedback you received from our founders over the trial and edit your book. Once this is done, you may reapply and attempt the trial again after a one-month period.
you will be placed into one of our regular reading groups and have access to everything our club offers.
The final step in this application is to give a shoutout to on your profile, announce it to your followers so we can hopefully gain new members. As we like to say here, #FeedTheFoundersYourFriends!

Weaponsmith : [A crafting litRPG]
[I accidentally got engaged to the evil owl-goddess who is obsessed with the number-three and now I have to make weapons for our new adventuring guild] In an era in which ancient gods live in the world’s cities together with their mortal followers, forming tight-knit guilds and powerful temples, the disfigured ash-caster and blacksmith Hineni has lived his entire life as a reclusive outcast. Hidden away behind layers of clothing and just as many walls and doors, he only ever leaves the house in the dead of night, so that neither the gods or anyone else can ever see him. However, on one of these night-tide outings, he finds that has gained the unwanted attention of what is seemingly a perfectly normal owl and through his unwitting efforts at simply filling his nights with acts of personal meaning, he ends up promising himself to a creature that is perhaps even less versed in human ways than he himself is; a mysterious, odd owl-goddess that nobody seems to have ever heard of, Obscura. Hineni, having had no greater purpose in life until now, finds himself willing to accept this turn of events and dedicates himself to creating a brand new adventuring guild, under the watchful eyes of the ancient entity Obscura, who has only one, clear, proclaimed goal - - To hunt the BIG FROG! BIG FROG! BIG! [litRPG] [Soft romance] [Crafting] [Base/Guild-building] [Pact with a diety] [Slice of life] (Updates every Wednesday / Saturday)

8 176A loose thread
The goddess picked him up. He tried to struggle free, but her grip only tightened. Eventually her thumb caught his head, pulling it backwards. He stared helplessly as she brought her free hand closer, revealing a small vial in her massive hand. She pressed it to his lips, and he felt the contents flow into him. He tried not to drink it, but his body would not listen. Despite his revulsion, his body ignored him by drinking deeply. "Drink and forget. I will give you everything you ever wanted. A loving family. A comfortable home. And then, " Her grip tightened, and forcing the air out his lungs. He coughed up the strange liquid and caused more to spill. “And then, you will pay for your defiance. On your twentieth birthday you will remember.” She pulled the vial away and turned him to look at her. “You will remember, just as everything you love is taken from you, right before your eyes…” Her voice trailed off and his world went dark. .... The above leads right into the story. The first chapter is a bit rough as the MC (a child at the time), hurts himself rather badly. I will try to include similar warnings on chapters as the story goes on, but I want to be up front that I may miss or forget things. Many of the tags are included so I can have flexibility writing the story. I am posting this largely to hold myself accountable to keep writing. Chapters will be short, but I am planning to post weekly. This is the first thing I have written (you've been warned). I am enjoying the story and I hope you will too. Please feel free to let me know what you think of the story as it progresses.
