When Shao Ling finished deactivating the demon gate, Lian Ren noticed a mark carved on one of the trees. His face became serious in an instant.

A circular symbol with a huge cross followed by a carving of an eye in the center. It was a symbol that Lian Ren once saw and encountered in his past life. And the person behind it was no joke. Lian Ren was taken aback when Shao Ling stood up, the two of them stared at each other without saying anything to the point that the silence was making them deaf. And a middle aged woman in the middle was standing in front, staring at the two with her bright bold almond eyes. The middle aged woman smiled and approached them then spoke,

Entering a house bigger then the other houses in the village, the middle aged woman paved way for them as she bowed and another woman greeted them with a smile. Her long braided hair was a color of a crimson red and her fierce hooded eyes was a color of a light pink like a gemstone of a rose quartz. With a small slim face, round and pointed nose, arched brows and red pouty lips, she truly was a beauty, wearing a pretty robe filled with accessories and a red tattoo of a flower on her arm. The woman stared down at them and gave them a seductive smile.

The village chief spoke as a sign of greetings and gratitude. However, when she turned to Shao Ling's direction, her smiling face instantly disappeared. She stared at him for a while, until the village chief slowly stood up, pointing her trembling hands at Shao Ling and shouted something.

Lian Ren was shocked and confused, but he can't even say anything when Shao Ling stumbled beside him, followed by Shao Ling's body falling on the ground, gasping for breath while a hot blazing fire spread out of his chest like a fever. Lian Ren immediately caught Shao Ling and held him tightly in his arms.
