Chapter 27

The black furball waited for Shao Ling to strip down his robes but Shao Ling stood still, staring down at the ground with an unreadable expression. The black furball frowned in impatience and eventually spoke, "Young man, can you hear me? You really won't remove your clothes?"

The black furball sighed and spoke again,

Shao Ling said with a gloomy expression, as if he was restraining his anger.

The black furball replied,

Shao Ling didn't respond but he stared at Lian Ren for a long time. After a moment, Shao Ling reached out to Lian Ren's wrist and examined his pulse. The black furball was not lying because Lian Ren's meridians inside was not responding well to his own body, a sign that most of the meridians were blocked or interfered by something.

Shao Ling shifted his gaze at the black fuball and arched his brows, making the black furball bewildered. The black furball asked in confusion,

Shao Ling closed his eyes and pressed his lips together, his veins looked like it was popping out of his forehead from restraining himself but it was not that long until Shao Ling was able to calm himself down. Shao Ling heaved a breath and turned to Lian Ren's direction, slowly extending his hand to Lian Ren's waistbelt so that he can remove his clothes. But when Shao Ling's fingertips touched the edge of Lian Ren's waistbelt, he immediately flinched and back away, as if he had experienced such a horror in his life.

The black furball exclaimed as he watched Shao Ling.

Shao Ling shouted, his brows were knitted into a deep frown and his cheeks was flushed red, breathing heavily.

The black furball stared at him as if Shao Ling was an unearthly being.

Shao Ling replied.

The black furball walked back and forth until he went outside the cave then spoke, After speaking, the black furball went somewhere deep into the forest.

Shao Ling, who was flushed red and breathing heavily, sat down beside Lian Ren, and closed his eyes to calm himself down. Since his disciples life is at stake, Shao Ling had no choice but to remove Lian Ren's waistbelt with his trembling hands. He also removed his robe and the only clothes that was covering Lian Ren was his pants. Shao Ling heaved a breath and leaned his ear on top of Lian Ren's chest to check if he's still breathing. Howevee, Shao Ling immediately opened his eyes when he realized that Lian Ren's heart was barely beating, as if the ice had immediately reached the entrance of his heart and had completely froze all the meridians in his body.

Shao Ling infused spiritual qi on his spatial ring and brough out a piece of paper with a peculiar symbol written in it. Shao Ling realized that giving Lian Ren body warmth will not work anymore because his meridians are not completely frozen so he had no choice but to do this. Shao Ling immediately ripped the paper into half and the symbol immediately float as if it was a soft and gentle ribbon. Little by little the symbol was lit up by a gentle fire that slowly went inside Shao Ling's body.

The paper was a symbol made of fire element that can be borrowed by a certain period of time depending on it's quality. If it's a low grade quality, the duration will be thirty seconds but if it's a high grade quality, it can last up to five minutes to borrow the fire element that was saved and sealed in the paper. Shao Ling gathered the flames in his chest up to his throat and leaned closer to Lian Ren. He parted Lian Ren's mouth and immediately pressed his mouth to Lian Ren, slowly pouring the gentle flame inside Lian Ren's body to melt the ice that froze his meridians.

Even if Shao Ling pour it on Lian Ren's chest using his palms, his meridians won't be able to receive it because it won't respond to the energy that he gives because it was frozen. But if Shao Ling deliver it through his mouth, the energy will slid down Lian Ren's throat and spread throughout his body, making more effective that pouring it outside. Shao Ling didn't let a single fire element to waste and poured it all to Lian Ren's body. He didn't even dare to withdrew his lips from him because the energy will leak out and it would be a waste.

Little by little, the ice was staring to melt and the meridians can now regenerate Lian Ren's spiritual qi again. But Shao Ling was astounded when Lian Ren's spiritual qi was regenerating rapidly, as if it was a waterfall that was continuously falling down and filling up a certain container. Shao Ling pressed his lips even more to Lian Ren to the point that their nose was brushing to wach other and their body were almost pressed to each other. Little did he know that Lian Ren was already awake, looking at him with his eyes opened wide.

Lian Ren didn't say a single word, he just stared at Shao Ling whose eyes was closed while their lips were touching each other. From the day that he was reborn, he never dared to imagine things like this. But who would've know that Shao Ling, the Yun Sect Master was kissing him right now. However, Lian Ren knew that Shao Ling is not really kissing him in his own accord. It was more likely like how a person gives air to another person. (Like fucking CPR). Lian Ren held his breath when Shao Ling withdrew his lips, leaving a moist and tingling feeling on Lian Ren's lower lip.

He heard Shao Ling muttering to himself, Lian Ren watched Shao Ling ponder by himself until he didn't realize that Shao Ling was already leaning onto him again, he must've decided that he will give all the fire element to Lian Ren and not left a single drop but when Shao Ling was about to press his lips once again, he caught Lian Ren staring at him in a daze.

Lian Ren secretly panicked and didn't know what to do. He glanced left and right then redirected his gaze Shao Ling and immediately closed his eyes again like an idiot. A lot of time passed but Shao Ling still didn't press his lips so Lian Ren became impatient and couldn't help but to open his left eye to see what Shao Ling was doing. But when he opened his eye, he saw Shao Ling glowering at him, as if Lian Ren had done such a sin that is unforgivable. Lian Ren had no choice but to stood up and clear his throat, he then glanced at Shao Ling with a slight smile on his face and spoke,

Lian Ren said with a half smile,

All of a sudden, the rocks from the cave went flying in an instant, and azure blue spiritual qi was flowing out of Shao Ling's body. Lian Ren panicked again and thought of an excuse to say so he took a step forward and spoke again, Lian Ren tried to reach Shao Ling's hand but Shao Ling took a step back from him with a gloomy expression, Lian Ren stood in his position for a while until he suddenly thought of an idea,

Shao Ling cried out. His lips and hands were stiff and trembling while his face was flushed red to the point that it was slowly becoming purple. Lian Ren tried to take a step forward to console him but Shao Ling shouted again,

Lian Ren insisted and walked forward to his direction. But when he was about to approach Shao Ling, Shao Ling flinched and suddenly ran away, leaving him dumbfounded.

Lian Ren called out. However, Shao Ling was too embarrassed to the point that he had to speed up his running while Lian Ren chase after him in the middle of the forest. Lian Ren called again.

The black furball murmured to himself as he watched the two running around the forest while Lian Ren shouts non stop.

Shao Ling and Lian Ren stared at each other as they gasped for their own breath. Lian Ren tried to take a step forward but his body is not responding to him anymore while Shao Ling is also the same. They heard rustles from the bushes and saw the black furball holding two bottles of water and handed it to them,

Shao Ling and Lian Ren immediately accepted the bottle of water and immediately drank it to replenish their energy. Lian Ren heaved a breath as soon as he emptied the bottle and slowly stood up, helping Shao Ling up by reaching out his hand and Shao Ling accepted it while he averted his gaze. Lian Ren asked to the black furball.

The black furball answered,

Lian Ren asked with a frown,

The black furball responded,

Lian Ren glanced at Shao Ling that made Shao Ling shift his gaze at him. Lian Ren asked.

Shao Ling replied with a frown.

Lian Ren knew that that answer was certainly a yes so he ordered the black furball to lead the way until they arrived near a village that was surrounded by tall cliffs from above. The gate was painted by a dark blue color and instead of a village, Lian Ren feels like it was more like a tribe. Lian Ren was about to enter the village when he heard kids shouting in their direction.

The kids were wearing a tribal clothes painted in deep blue that was filled with asymmetrical moon and sun design. There were light and dark blue painted in the children's arms and a headdress made with fiber were decorated on their head. The children caress the black furball who was annoyed and shifted their gazes at Lian Ren and Shao Ling's direction. the children grabbed Lian Ren and Shao Ling eyes and led them inside the village. The people who were minding their business glanced at their direction but they didn't show any sign of hostility despite a stranger entering their village. However, for some reason, as Lian Ren stared at them, he realized one thing.

They look so much like Shizun.
