Chapter 17
All of the five hundred participants were already inside the Qiang Lake and the pearl watchers have already activated followed by the rectangular illusionary image appearing above the marble arena stage that was showing the spectacular view of the Qiang Lake, leaving the audience in awe and astonishment.
Shao Ling stared at the rectangular illusionary image as he sip on his tea. The ice fairy that was giving him non stop cold made a high pitched sound and landed on Shao Ling's shoulder, looking very exhausted. When Shao Ling was about to aid on the ice fairy, a slender hand grabbed his wrist that made Shao Ling alarmed and immediately infuse his hand with azure blue spiritual qi.
Shao Ling paused and looked back to see Yong Yingxi looking at him with a teary eyed expression.
( A/N : Adding a name suffix -ah in names is a common way of creating a nickname, meaning something like “dude” or “pal.” )
Shao Ling scoffed,
Yong Yingxi exclaimed.
Shao Ling said in a sharp tone.
Shao Ling stared at him with a hopeless expression and eventually sighed before redirecting his gaze back to the rectangular illusionary image,
Yong Yingxi said as he pulled a chair near Shao Ling and sat beside him with a smile.
Shao Ling:
Yong Yingxi:
Shao Ling:
Yong Yingxi:
Shao Ling:
The beautiful woman walked on the center of the arena stage and spoke,
The participants who were shown in the rectangular illusionary image nodded and the beautiful woman spoke again,
Shao Ling scowled when Yong Yingxi leaned forward to see the rectangular illusionary image, blocking Shao Ling sight.
Shao Ling corrected.
Yong Yingxi said as he munched on the dumplings that was served on the small table that Shao Ling didn't dare to eat.

Yong Yingxi exclaimed, crumbs of dumplings falling on the hem of Shao Ling's sleeves."
Shao Ling pursed his lips and brushed the crumbs of the dumplings away from the hem of his sleeves as he replied,
Yong Yingxi speechlessly stared at Shao Ling and redirected his gaze on the rectangular illusionary image where the participants are starting to release their spiritual qi, hoping that the Qiang Lake will respond and bestow them a holy weapon. Yong Yingxi grabbed another dumpling on the plate and grabbed a bite when suddenly, a thought suddenly popped inside his mind.
Shao Ling answered as he sipped his tea,
Shao Ling's hands that was holding the tea twitched, his face showed a hint of loathing but in a blink of an eye, his face went back to his usual expressionless look. Yong Yongxi said as he much on the dumpling on his hand.
Yong Yingxi heaved a breath and leaned on the back of his chair as he shrugged, He eventually said with a conceding expression.
Shao Ling's mouth trembled, resisting himself on aswering while his other hand that was resting on the arm of his chair clenched tightly. Yong Yingxi sighed and crossed his hand,
勤喜
The woman has an ink black hair that length down to her slim waist and her face was molden into a soft round shape, with her big brown eyes, round pointed nose, slim eyebrows and full pouty coral lips with a plain white robe that was top off with a black waistbelt and few fabric accessories, instead of a bewitching fairy that mostly Tian Xian Peak has, Qinxi look like a innocent fairy that was born in a Lily flower, delicate and kind.

On the other hand, inside the dimension of the Qiang Lake, it was already Yin Meng's turn. She gracefully walked towards the center of the Qiang Lake, beaming with beauty and confidence as she slowly compressed her palms together, gathering her soft pink spiritual at her both palms and slowly opening up her palms, letting the soft pink spiritual qi spread throughout the clear waters of the Qiang Lake.

With a magical sound of the soft pink spiritual qi coming in touch with the water, the sound turned into a drip, and the drip turned into a vibration, shaking the waters of the lake as if they were fierce waves coming from the ocean. The Qiang Lake radiated a low clinging sound that seemed like chiming bells, resonating throughout the Lake and through the wide grassy plains.
Slowly, little by little, the water continuously shook, drips of water were shown all over the lake until a faint silhouette of a weapon from afar was shown, slowly floating upwards the water until it's true form was shown. It was a small beautiful silver dagger with a flower carvings on it's handle, the sharpness of it's blade glistened when it came touch with the ray of the sun, making it look dangerous but beautiful at the same time.
Xin Mei complimented as she stared at the dagger with sparkling eyes.
Yin Meng said with a smile.
Xin Mei replied with a determined expression.
Xin Mei did the same thing. Releasing her spiritual qi until the Qiang Lake responded to her, bestowing her a sharp katana that was carved with butterflies on it's handle with a purple glow on the edge of its blade when it is reflected to light. Xin Mei speechlessly went back to the grassy plains, staring at her own holy weapon in a daze for a very long time.
Jian Jie also did the same and without a doubt, the Qiang Lake also responded to his spiritual qi, giving him a pitch black whip that had a thunder and flame effect when it is activated offensively. Jian Jie went back to the plains, staring at his holy weapon with his brows arched until he shifted his gaze at Lian Ren's direction,
Lian Ren's face soured at what he said,
With a few more participants who went forward to the center of the lake, some received a holy weapon and some didn't, it was finally Lian Ren's turn. He walked towards the center with a straight expression, simply waving his hand to release his blue spiritual qi as it instantly spread throughout the Qiang Lake. However, instead of a low clinging sound, a rough and loud sound of a gigantic bell was heard, confusing the participants and the audience who were watching.
The clear water of the Qiang Lake was instantly painted black, showing nothing except for the silhouette of a weapon slowly floating upwards the water until a sword without a blade was shown, a deep blue spiritual gem was embedded between the roughly carved handle that lit up a faint glow, making the bladeless sword look mysterious and sinister.
Yong Yingxi frowned as he stared at the rectangular illusionary image.

Essence Eater (A Super Progression Fantasy)
Gods. Demons. Aliens. Superheroes. Supervillains.Consume them all for power. Eighty years have passed since WW2, when Prime took to the skies and ended the war. No one knows what gave him his power, or what birthed the wave of supers that came after. Some claimed the nuclear bombs dropped in Japan cracked the barrier between Universes, allowing alien energies to enter the dimension. Others believed the wars finally triggered what humanity needed to reach a new stage of evolution. Daniel Das lives with his uncle in post-super London, the League of Hero's primary hub. He's spent all of his twenty-one years pushing himself, training in martial arts and studying supers, hoping he'll awaken his metagene and gain super powers. The cut-off age is close, but he hasn't yet awakened superpowers. Meanwhile, the League is steadily losing parts of the city to the growing villain factions. Daniel's uncle wishes to keep him away from the world of supers, but with the hot zones closing in, that's easier said than done. There are villains selling unregulated superpowers to gangs and dark days are on the horizon. Despite his limitations, there is no stopping Daniel. He is ravenous for power. If needed, he will ally with demons if they give him the power to protect his family and home. -------------------------------- This world building is heavily inspired by Worm and The Boys. It features dark, realistic storylines, corporation-funded heroes, and villains who aren't necessarily bad guys. The protagonist's powerset involves the crowd-favourite consuming enemies for power trope, too. The GameLit/LitRPG elements are super light and takes a while to kick in. The powercreep is slow as well since I don't enjoy overpowered protagonists. Chapters everyday until book 1 is complete. The schedule will change once I reach that point.

Luck And Chronomancy
Time Magic is the best magic as everyone knows, although there are lots of unique Talents in the world. Most people only remember Haste because it is hard to get to higher Phases of Chronomancy. That is still enough to make the Talent iconic. A lucky enough Aleatory Talent can position you for greatness or leave you languishing in obscurity. The only true equality in the world is when that glowing message pops up at 8 years old. Even if it doesn't activate until you are an adult at 16 you still know. Sure you can find a new dungeon spawn and get another chance at a rare Talent, even this one, but you have to already be ready to delve into the *Far Wilds*, which is far easier with wealth or family power. This is the story of where my good fortune took me and the difference it made, even among a party of 7 others including an Arcanist. It is a journey of magic and monsters but also math, which some think is actually worse. Luckily I was born with Intelligence and Focus as my personal traits, and my parents were scholars. Of course Chronomancy can also be a frontline combat talent. Versitility well beyond other Elder Talents like Gravity, Abstraction, or Arcana. Might could have worked for me, too. I also met a runaway princess. All the best adventures have a princess. She hated being a noble and we didn't get married but it still counts. Besides she really filled out our front line. All that Leadership training came in handy. I still don't know where she's from. Who cares? How well Haste goes with giant hammers is what's important. I never learned much about anyone in the party, except the one I grew up with. I'm not a people person. I just wanted to optimize dungeon clearing time. *******Story Details******* No romance, politics, or traumatizing content, slice of life, or even dialogue. 1st person narration, like a guide/adventure log. 2000-7000 words a day, maybe 40-60% rpgish combat log with some reasoning on combat decisions, with the rest character Talent discussion and progression stuff. 8 person party with a decent variety in roles. Party members usually have 2 primary functions. Told from the support/control Chronomancer's perspective. Each party member will have 6 Basic/Background Traits, then 3 actual Talents with abilities. Capstone from their Educational Institution, Arbritrary as a gift from the temples, and Aleatory which is decided at birth, revealed at 8, and activated after adulthood at 16. Aleatory Traits ignore requirements and are random why is why they are so important. They'll gain new Talents from finding Dungeons to consume in the *Wilds*. Mature dungeons in cities can provide *Challenges* to raise the Phase of a Talent, up to 3 times from 1 to 4. Each character will get to roughly 8 non-Trait Talents. Attributes come exclusive from Talents, are required by Talents, and provide various effects as well. I designed about 220 Talents with abilities, 4 in each of 4 phases. "Traits" are just Attribute stuff. I'm not sure how many will be detailed in the story, more than 100 for sure. I used Talents because I want to be free of the legacy of tabletop. Half those rules are just because of the limitations inherent in a pre-computer ttrpg. This story mostly uses combat Talents, although like 1/3 of the 220 are for crafting and other society and economy stuff. If you really wanted to be a Thief you might take Intuition, Awarness, and Might for Basic Traits and Deftness, Manipulation, and Trickery for Family/Education. Then you'd pick Acrobatics, and Climbing for Educational Capstone and Arbitrary traits. You Aleatory Trait might be Shadow(Light/Dark) Magic, Umbramancy. A Bard might swap Dexterity for Charisma, Music for Acrobatics, and have gotten Illusion(Shadow/Sound(Air/Force)) for their Aleatory Trait.

Conquest of Avalon
Revenge. The Kingdom of Avalon swept across the Empire of the Fox a generation past, conquering the heartlands and leaving the broken remnants to stew in the island duchy of Guerron. This isn't a story of Good versus Evil, of kindly kings doing their best to lift all subjects, or of unvarnished heroes doing battle against evil. Instead, this story is about power: who has it, who wants it, and what people will do to obtain it. It is about the violence inherent in the imperial project and how even the most well-intentioned rulers and conquerors are, still, engaging in systemic violence against those conquered and defeated. Our three point-of-view characters are a peasant turned fire wizard, an excitable duelist with more enthusiasm than sense, and a scheming mage-priestess bent on reclaiming her family's birthright and waging war on the foreign oppressors who rule her home... no matter the cost in blood or treasure.
