Xin Mei forced a smile and glanced down at the firework handle on her hand before redirecting her gaze at Lian Ren's direction again.

Lian Ren had arrived at her location in three minutes just to her......doing fine, i guess. Lian Ren sighed and unsheathed his sword before he replied with a smile,

Xin Mei lowered her gaze at the firework handler and threw it aside before continuing her words, She pointed a cave with wild long vines hanging on it's large entrance.

Lian Ren slightly raised his eyes and raised his index finger, a faint glowing blue spiritual qi flowed out of his index finger and instantly froze after a while. The glowing blue light made of spiritual qi stayed on top of the tip of his index finger as he took a step forward and shoved the wild long vines covering the large entrance of the cave. Xin Mei spoke behind him,

Lian Ren shifted his gaze at her and replied,

Xin Mei pondered for a while and answered,

In a split second, Lian Ren's other hand went down his silver waist belt to unsheathe his sword and Xin Mei grabbed her long bow from her back and shaped her purple spiritual qi into an arrow and aimed on that person's direction who had just spoke. Lian Ren's alarmed expression slightly softened and Xin Mei's expression that was full of killing intent glanced at the person as if she had done an unforgivable thing.

Xin Mei lowered her long bow and the purple arrow made of her own spiritual qi slowly faded as she spoke to greet the person,

Shao Ling arched his brows on her, He asked sarcastically as he crossed his hands from behind.

Xin Mei immediately panicked and aggressively shook her head as she answered,

Shao Ling's brows softened as he sighed, He said with a straight face.

....He complimented us? Lian Ren stared at him with an expression of disbelief and Xin Mei nodded as if she was used to it,

Xin Mei Shijie is reacting normally?! Shizun never complimented us and even if he would, we would only think if it as a mocking words to do better..... Shao Ling shifted his gaze at Lian Ren who was staring at him with an astounded expression, Shao Ling frowned at him and spoke, He asked with a puzzled face.

Lian Ren opened his mouth to reply but immediately closed it again because he can't fish some words to say. After a while, he opened his mouth again to speak anything that came from his mind first,

Originally, how Lian Ren spoke sounded so rude because Shao Ling is a higher status than him. Lian Ren expected Shao Ling to be offended and punish him but his messed up mind became even more worse when Shao Ling answered casually,

Lian Ren was speechless. Xin Mei behind him asked Shao Ling while fixing the flower ornament on her hair,

Shao Ling immediately answered as he shoved the wild long vines aside from the large entrance of the cave. He said as he took a step forward the entrance of the cave.

He's worrying about us? Impossible... Lian Ren and Xin Mei looked at each other's eyes and Lian Ren immediately concealed the confusion on his face and nodded at her before following Shao Ling who was already inside. Every step they made reverberated throughout the corners of the cave, the tiny glowing red flowers were all over the cave followed by the flapping sounds that cane from the bats.

Xin Mei glanced at the tiny glowing red flowers all over the cave that gave them a bit of light to see where they were,

Shao Ling slightly turned his head and glanced at her before proceeding to walk leisurely as he answered,

Xin Mei's face was immediately filled with a terrified expression as she stepped away from the tiny glowing red flowers all around the cave. Lian Ren sighed and spoke from behind, Shao Ling turned his gaze at him and only raised his brows before looking straight at the narrow pathway as they proceed to walk where Shao Ling is going.

Xin Mei felt impatient and started to fidget her fingers while she asked Shao Ling again,

Shao Ling simply answered.

Xin Mei slightly slowed her pace and her eyes widened,

Shao Ling turned his head on her direction and pursed his lips in irritation,

Xin Mei tilted her head and asked again,

Shao Ling's mouth slightly twitched and he immediately looked away and proceeded to walk.

Xin Mei shrunk in the corner of the narrow pathway and immediately lowered her gaze,

Shao Ling scoffed but still replied,

Lian Ren was silently watching from behind. He really didn't know whether Shao Ling really changed or not because there's a characteristics of him that changed and there are others that didn't change. But there is one thing he is certain with...... Lian Ren's lips slightly curved as he rushed beside Shao Ling and spoke,

Shao Ling shifted his gaze on him and immediately answered,

Lian Ren stared at him. Of course he knew that because he destroyed the Mist temple and covered it with ice while destroying all the ancient books and manuals that was placed inside in his past lifetime. He just wanted to confirm something. Shao Ling didn't actually changed, but as long as it's him, he will completely change his personality. That's why he was still Strict and cold in Xin Mei when he tried to ask questions about the Mist temple but when he asked, Shao Ling immediately answered with no hesitation or suspicion.

Lian Ren let out a mischievous smile. Shao Ling frowned and slightly stepped away from him, He said with a suspicious gaze. Lian Ren chuckled and replied,

Shao Ling frowned even more from what he said. He said with a hostile tone and immediately fasten his walking pace to get ahead of the cave.

After a while of walking, Xin Mei looked around the cave and she slowly frowned when she can't even see a single vicious ghost around. She shifted her gaze at Shai Ling and Lian Ren and spoke,

Shao Ling raised his brows,

Xin Mei took a few step closer and spoke,

Of course, there's not even a single vicious ghost around. I sent more frost fairy on the way here to kill them all without causing a commotion. Lian Ren remained poised on the other side as they reached the exit of the cave. Xin Mei covered her eyes from the blinding light because of being in the dark for too long and Shao Ling beside her slightly rubbed his eyes while he frowned.

The gigantic temple that was made of mossy stones greeted their sight, the place was beaming with life and nature and the faint dancing spiritual qi around the temple were clearly seen from afar. Shao Ling gazed at the Mist temple before he heaved a heavy breath and spoke,

Xin Mei replied excitedly while running towards the entrance of Mist temple. Her body immediately halted and she instantly unsheathed her long bow when she remembered something.

The Mist temple was unexpectedly quiet, Shao Ling crossed his arms and wandered his eyes around the temple while Lian Ren stood still beside him with a slight smile on his face. Xin Mei slightly tilted her head and frowned in confusion,

Xin Mei immediately made an arrow that was molded with her own purple spiritual qi, Shao Ling still remained crossing his hands but his face showed an obvious alarmed expression while Lian Ren stood beside him with no reaction at all. Xin Mei took a deep breath as she murmured to herself

A young man wearing a dark green robe greeted their sight, his face was round and his facial features was soft and gentle. The other one was another young man wearing an old clothes who looked unbothered and malnourished, his hair was pale white like a hair of an old man and his eyes were painted with a peculiar fading purple color. Xin Mei showed an awkward smile and greeted back,

The man in dark green robe immediately shook his head and pointed his farming shovel at her,
