Surprise~ Why so shock? I'm back early this time. I already decide to focus on this story for a while.
There few announcement again like usual:
1. The vision official name will be Stygian Vision.
2. Few of you maybe confused at this but Lumine still didn't now The Demon Archon name so she usually refer to her as your majesty, etc.
That's all I guees? The OC option still open. If you have n OC that want go be used, don't be afraid to send it to me~ I didn't bite. Maybe Sven but not me.
Now into the story~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Fyuh... That ends well. Next time, if you want to do some suicide mission do it yourself! Paimon is still young to die. You owe Paimon a lot of food!"
I sheepishly laugh. "Sorry, Paimon... I'm just really desperate."
"... You are really hopeless. Come on! Paimon is really hungry. We can use a little time to explore the market." I nod at Paimon's word.
The market is really live to his expectation. Is so beautiful in here. I can see demons of any kind just walking and talking around.
"Lumine, look! Oh! This accessory is very pretty!" Paimon points at one shop that sells jewelry. I look at the window case and cannot help but be amazed. Jewelry with any kind of stone is being put on display. Paimon has already get distracted by the smell of the food.
"Lumine, hurry up!" She shouts.
BRAK!
"Ouch..."
"Ow..."
When I want to run to Paimon, I collide with someone. I look up and can see a child with blonde hair and brown in the tip staring at me with her hand rubbing her back.
"I'm very sorry! Are you okay?" I help the child to get up.
"I'm okay but my food..." She let a sad whimper look at her food with glossy eyes.
"Ah! Please don't cry! I-I will buy you another one!" I told her franticly even give her my handkerchief. Her eyes look happy and she beams at me.
'T-To Cute!'
"Really? Thank you, miss" I take her hand and led her to one of the food stalls Paimon has been waiting.
"What takes you so long?" She looks at me and at the child.
"Eh... Long story but I feel bad causing this girl's food to be wasted so I offer to buy her another one." I explain it shortly. Paimon look skeptical but didn't protest too much. After ordering our food, we find one table nearby and sit there.
"So what is your name?" I ask her.
"My name is Rin. Nice to meet you, miss heroine."
"Heroin?" Paimon looks confused.
"Yep. I saw your heroic action earlier in the arena. Must I say, miss, you are so brave to even negotiate with the Archon~ Usually the contestant will immediately choose their opponent without speaking too much with King of Demon" She explains it to me? I can only laugh awkwardly.
"Hmph! Yeah, and almost cost our head to fly! Thank the Celestia, that didn't happen."
Rin only laughs at Paimon comment. Soon our food arrives and we kinda enjoy it ourselves but there was a problem when we need to pay.
"Huh?! What did you mean? Our Mora is gone?!" Paimon screech. I try to search for the bag of Mora that I always bring in my pocket but can't find it.
"Oh no! What should we do?!"
"I can help this time." Rin smile innocently.
"W-what? We cannot let you pay for it!" I tell her no. She just glances at the annoyed waitress that looks at us. I sweatdrop at this and with a heavy heart, I nod. Rin pulling some bags and start to pay for our food. I cannot even look at Rin's face because of embarrassed.
"Hey... Isn't that our bag?!" Paimon points at the bag in Rin's hand. I can see a similar pattern in the bag and gasp.
"What's wrong?" Rin asks innocently.
"Hey! Is that our bag in your hand?!" Paimon said. Somehow Rin expression change to a playful one.
"Heh~ I didn't your name in here?" She replies with a smirk. Why did an 8 years old girl feel so intimidated?
"That is our pattern in the bag! Is this a real you?! A thief?"
"... Took you long enough. And I only take it from the ground earlier so I didn't steal anything." She answers cooly.
"You cannot do that! Lumine!"
"Rin... Can you give that back to us?" I ask her nicely.
"Let me think.... No." She shook her head.
"Agh! That is our last bag of Mora! That's it. Paimon called the security." Paimon exclaims but the child only frowns.
"Do that and you never see this money ever again." This shut Paimon up.
"What did you want?" I carefully ask her. Rin smile hearing my question.
"How about we make a contract?" She said with a big smile.
"... A contract?"
"Yep. You have been to the city of Liyue, right? I kinda need something for you. So how about we make a contract? I give this money back in exchange for something." She said with a glint of smugness in her eyes.
"... What is that?"
"Nothing much. I need your help to get me inside the party later and let me meet with Demon Archon, Your highness Camilla."
"Pst... Paimon who is Camilla?"
"Camilla is the official name for the Demon Archon. She is called King Camilla in here." Paimon whisper back to me.
"Why did you want to meet with Demon Archon anyway?" I ask her. She silently points at her vision that has been put in her hat.
"You want to ask about your vision?"
"...Not Exactly that but close to that. Same as you. I just want an answer." She said. The silence surrounds us for a moment with a sigh, I nod at her qualification.
"Give our bag of Mora back and I let you tag along with us to meet the Demon Archon. But if the Demon Archon didn't want to talk with you. I cannot do anything."
"Deal!" We shake our hand together but she still keeps the bag of Mora inside her pocket and will give it back after we arrive at the castle. Clever girl.
An Unwavering Craftsman
Given the hereditary nature of classes, everyone expects Damien—the child of two high-tiered adventurers—to be granted a high-tier combat class of his own. Expectations are betrayed, however, when Damien finds himself instead saddled with a crafting class of the lowest possible tier: [Neophyte Tailor]. Left practically crippled compared to those with better classes, Damien wants to avoid becoming a pawn in the machinations of the nobility, desiring only to grind his level in peace while wondering why the usual rules of inheritance were broken. Was it his desire to excel by his own effort, rather than an unearned blessing from a god? Did the Five take offence at his opinions on the unfairness of hereditary classes? Or maybe it was something to do with the alien voice that intruded on his ceremony? A voice that offers great power, and freedom from the tyranny of the Five, but that never names its price. This story is litRPG-lite. While the class someone possesses controls most of their lives, people don't get dinged at for every level they gain, nor can they see their status without undergoing a special ritual. The MC has no romantic interest. Crafting is merely a way to game the system, and doesn't feature heavily in the story, aside from a few descriptions on how they're carrying out the system abuse. There is, on one unfortunate occasion, maths. The pace is quick. This was a participant in the Spring 2022 writathon. (i.e. it was posted as-written at high speed. I may give it another editing pass in the future.)
Bow of the North
In game of thrones i felt that the Starks received way too much hardships and tragedy. i know that there were vital points of story, and there were times these hardships were building points for their characters, but i feel when every member of a family has been either killed, raped or crippled then they deserve a break. In my story that break comes in the form of a powerful hunter/general from another world. I have no intention of altering the story to save every stark, or have them win every time, and some of my favourite characters may even be victims of this plot change as well. edited The main character, and there will be several new characters introduced to the storyline, will not just be some over powered guy who makes outrageous decisions that always work out (cough Plot armour) but will be someone that treats the world as a real world and has fears, doubts and is cautious in his decisions. He is susceptible to changing his mind and character traits depending on his experiences in this life. The story will primarily follow the plot at the beginning with some minor changes, and as more things change they will increase till the entire story is changed at the end. I am not copying the world of GoT exactly. cultures, politics and nobility may be changed or made up.
