《Dark Lord》Chapter 51

RuJin looked at the two people who were in front of him. They were MeiRin, and JianTang, who in this life, were his parents.
He could tell that they both were stunned by him too, their actions froze, and their face was hard to control.
MeiRin was the first to break the silence.
"I have a question to ask you Dark Lord. Are you still my son?" MeiRin asked, her eyes suddenly turning red, and she clenched her sword in her hands, staring at RuJin.
RuJin looked at them, eyes containing no emotion but he opened up his mouth to say, "I am. Though I have my memories of my past life, your blood is still running in my veins. No matter what, you still raised me when I was younger and that is a debt that I owe you."
"Is my son gone?" MeiRin asked once more, her voice trembling as she stopped JianTang from making a move on RuJin.
"That depends....It is up to you to declare if I am still your son or if I am the Dark Lord from twenty years ago." RuJin wasn't going to give an answer because even he didn't know for sure. Although he was RuJin now, he couldn't be sure that the other part of him was gone.
MeiRin closed her eyes, taking a moment to think.
"Am I still your mother?" MeiRin asked another question, this one being much deeper.
Once again, RuJin couldn't give a clear answer. "If you decide that you still are, then I will not stop you. I may be a cold killer, but I have never killed someone who wasn't evil. And I hope that you know, this war is not because of a small matter. Maybe it can be so, but there are many reasons as to why this war is raging, and I hope that you know. I can't give you much information, but I'm sure that if you can rekindle your relationship with Mo Xin, she might tell you."

MeiRin nodded her head, deep in her thoughts. "I see...I won't stop you, and I hope that you know, I'm sorry for what I've done to you. I raised you up, but in the end, I still chose to toss you away because of matters I didn't even know about. You have gone through so much, and I wished I would've listened to the words your sister had said when she tired to stop us. I want you to know, that even though you may never think so, I will always be your mother. Although I cannot and may never be the same as your mother in your past life, I want to be the best I can for you in this life."
With her words, she dragged JianTang away, looking back to RuJin before turning away. JianTang didn't say anything, only raising his hand and brushing away the tear that fell from MeiRin's eyes.
RuJin sighed, but, something happened right at that moment.
RuJin's head jerked back at once, hearing the sound, his heart speeding. Impossible. He, was ShuYan here? The sound of guqin was normal, but, it was being used to attack.
As RuJin saw people dropping down, his heart began pacing.
Right away, using his power, he found the location where the sound was coming from and rushed towards it.
ShuYan, please let it be him...
With a smirk on his face, he watched as ShuYan played the guqin, immense waves of Qi flew away at the speed of light into the distance below. Closing his eyes, he could feel the Dark Lord getting closer and closer. He wondered if he would like the present he had prepared for him.
Right at that moment, the presence got close enough and he opened up his eyes again.
RuJin looked at the scene in front of him, he knew that something was wrong right away. Something was wrong with ShuYan, something was wrong and he couldn't fix it.
His heart broke, because they had finally met again but he couldn't do anything. As he reached his hand forward, he was attacked. He pulled his hand away, his eyes looking at ShuYan, confusion and heartache in them.

"ShuYan," RuJin's voice called out, a tremor within them that made his own heart break. What was happening? ShuYan had attacked him, not just with any skill or method, but it was the one that he had taught him.
"It's no use, he won't respond to any of your calls," A voice told RuJin, and RuJin turned to the corner of the pavilion.
"Who are you?" RuJin's voice called out, his eyes now focusing on a man dressed in white.
"How rude of me to not even introduce myself. My name is Feng WangYi." Feng WangYi said, stepping forwards to ShuYan, standing next to him, unaffected by the ShuYan's attacks.
"What are you doing to him, why are you doing this to him?" RuJin's voice rose, and for the first time in a long while, he showed his true emotions. His anger of ShuYan being used once more, his fear of losing him once more, and his heartache from not being able to do anything.
"You know, Dark Lord, or, Zu RuJin. Over twenty years ago, you had rose as this evil person, and back then, I had my doubts about you. I had once thought that there must be more story behind as to who you really are and even when everyone seemed to hate you, I was neutral. But you know, everything changed all because of you. Though I was one of the few people who didn't hate you, you had to go and kill the only person I had ever loved. You had to go and kill the man who I loved with all of my life, taking him away from me." Feng WangYi brushed back his hair, his eyes turning red once more.
"But right when I was about to get revenge, you had to go and die. But that was fine because I was there on that day, and using my power, I had saved your little lover over here. For twenty years, I saved him, I kept him alive even if it was just by a little. I did so much when all I wanted to do was to kill him with my own hands, but I knew that you would return one day."
"So, I kept him alive waiting for you return because what I wanted most was for you to suffer ten times more than I had. But of course, I wanted more. So I took away your lover's soul and I turned him into my puppet. And now, you will suffer under the same pain as I did, because he will turn against you, because the man you love most will be the one to kill you. And he won't even know what he has done because by then, it would be too late already." Feng WangYi turned to look at RuJin, his eyes full of hatred.
"He has never done anything to you, the person you want is me. Why are you-"
"No matter what he has done, this way you will suffer the most. You need to learn about the pain you caused everyone when you decided to become the Dark Lord, when you decided to kill all those people, never once thinking about how it felt for their family, for their loved ones." Feng WangYi stopped RuJin's words at once, not wanting to listen to him talk. He didn't care about what he was going to say because he had come this far and he was not going to stop now.
"ShuYan, kill him." Feng WangYi ordered ShuYan, and ShuYan responded at once, his focus was now on RuJin.
RuJin, who was repelling away all the attacks that ShuYan was aiming towards couldn't help but feel the heavy aching deep within his bone. So this was punishment, huh?
But he couldn't let ShuYan suffer too, because even though he could die, ShuYan must continue to live.

Where our beloved (or hated) protagonists are transferred to a new world to conquer, defeat the demon lord, rescue the princess. or are made into mythical gems of power with control over Monsters and Men (psst..a dungeon core)? Now, you might be asking, where is 'here' ? To answer your somewhat specific, yet vague, question my dear audience...I don't know! But what I do know is that...well nothing other than I had a past life...I think... Anyway...You are correct in assuming that I was indeed reincarnated into a dungeon core! How A Villain Builds A Kingdom
READ THE WARNING Amadeus Devereux was born into a rich and powerful household. But he did not pursue power like his brothers because of his love for art, flowers, and poetry. Until one day, a servant arrived in the garden to see Amadeus smiling as if he was looking at a flower. Only this time, Amadeus was looking at the mangled corpses of two gardeners. ————————— Set in a fantasy world where magic exists, follow Amadeus as he embarks on a journey of self-discovery. Will he be able to feel emotions as others do? This is a novel that I wrote because I got tired of all the tropes that had transmigration, regression, deus-ex machina, etc. where everything that makes the main character reach the top is left to luck. —————————
