《Dark Lord》Chapter 37

RuJin looked at the two people assembled, his eyes cold and hard, the aura from his body was suffocating.
"Lord, you have finally return." Shao Yao, and Ling Xin both greeted RuJin.
Almost two decades have gone by since the fall of the Dark Lord. In those years, Shao Yao had taken control of the disciples and the generals assembled by the Dark Lord. As Shao Yao was the strongest and the person who had been by the Dark Lord's side the longest, he was able to keep the valley hidden with more formations.
Since the war twenty years ago, Shao Yao seized control, hoping to make their power rise for the day that the Dark Lord came back. Although it was a tough and difficult time for him, Ling Xin had been there to help him out too.
To be honest, when he found out that the Dark Lord had fallen, he was incredibly shock.
The Dark Lord was powerful enough to take over the Five Nations, Shao Yao knew that something else must've happen in order for the Dark Lord to fall.
So, as he waited for the Dark Lord to make his return, Shao Yao carefully planned out actions to weaken the other sects. He had also appointed new generals, trained new disciples, and sent spies into the five sects too. It was only when he took control that he realized the Dark Lord ruled with an iron fist.
Shao Yao was always stressed with the seemingly difficult job, suddenly being looked upon on for any trouble. He wasn't as strong as the Dark Lord, he didn't know how to become a leader until he was pushed to the seat. Now that the Dark Lord had returned, the burden of being a leader was going to be lifted from him.

Standing by his side, Ling Xin looked wordlessly at the Dark Lord. Years have gone by, he and Shao Yao had gotten married. Together, they had put a lot of hard work
to retain the power they once had. Ling Xin made sure that no one tried to leave the valley. When he was saved by Shao Yao and the Dark Lord, he had made a vow to remain loyal until his life ended. That was the same as all the disciples and generals here. Although, none of them had left in the end.
RuJin looked towards the two of them. Years have pass by, but the two were still youthful, remaining unchanged. But then again, they were never going to.
"How has everything been going?" RuJin asked, eyes looking straight at Shao Yao.
"Everything is well, Lord. Since the time you were gone, Ling Xin and I had made sure to keep the valley hidden. We have spent years hiding the valley under formations, but the effort spent was little in comparison to the benefit given. The valley still remains hidden. We had lost six generals from the war, but I have appointed new generals to take over. In the last twenty years, we have gotten more disciples joining."
"In order to assure that the information about this place would not be leaked, I have decided to spread the Labyrinth around the nations. Since the Labyrinth is something you made, it was only known and grown in this valley. Since it was used in the war, I thought is would be best to spread it to the other nations so that no one would be able to find out it's origins." Shao Yao gave a quick summarization about the things that had occurred over the twenty years. Of course, this was only a short version of all the things that had happen over the period of time.

RuJin took in all the information. He was not expecting that Shao Yao would get things done so well, especially with his sudden disappearance, but Shao Yao did better than expected.
"Word must've gotten out about my death, didn't it?" RuJin suddenly asked. Even then, his voice was still cold and detached, no emotions were felt from his question.
"Lord, although it did, all of us knew that you were going to return. That's why we spent so much time to make our strength grow even stronger. I had also told Shao Yao that since the five sects had back off, it would be better to stay away from the outside world during this period of time and focus on getting stronger."
"We couldn't take any risks even though we knew you were going to return. Although we knew that you were going to return, we didn't know how long it would take in the end. But, it is a good thing that you have come back now. Although Shao Yao and I were able to keep everything under control, it is incomparable to when you were still our leader." Ling Xin quickly said. The years gone by were rough, but he and Shao Yao had managed to pull through.
RuJin didn't reply, instead he remained in silence. A lot of things had happened since he time he was gone. No, it should be called the time that he had forgotten these factors. He was reincarnated, that he knew for sure. It was just that along the way, his memory was sealed so he couldn't remember anything when he was born.
Although LuJin could still be consider him, it was only a fragment of the boy he once was in his teens, back when he was still not known to the world as the Dark Lord. LuJin was just the teenage him, the him that he could've still been if it weren't for that incident years ago.
The poison was what had help him regain his memories, that being said, he needed to find someone. He needed to get a little bit of revenge. And for that, who else would he need but Ru Lian?
That woman was pure evil, she was someone who wanted things she never worked form and RuJin hated these type of people.
That being said, he needed to tread carefully. His "family" were powerful too, and he knew that with some convincing, they would turn their backs on him. But he also knew two people who wouldn't, the two who remained loyal even when he was struggling as LuJin. Xi Yu and Mo Xin, these two people, RuJin was going to welcome them with open arms.
With a little push, they could get more strength than imagined. And RuJin was going to help them. After finding Ru Lian, he would make a visit to them, that was what he intended to do.
But first, he needed to rethink everything carefully. He still felt like something was wrong, a gut feeling in his stomach, and he hated it.
But until then, he was going to rebuild his army and prepare for war again. After all, it was war, it was the sects that had taken the life of his most precious person.
ShuYan, was he also reincarnated?

A Budding Scientist in a Fantasy World
Alice is a girl who loves science and lives on Earth. Then, suddenly, she was punted into another dimension. A dimension where magic and monsters roam the land, swords and sorcery reign supreme, and, for some reason, a System keeps dinging at her and telling her that her stats and levels are increasing. As someone who loves exploring mysteries, Alice is determined to get to the bottom of this mystery. After all, everything has to have a ‘cause,’ including the System, right? What to expect: This story is going to be a LitRPG set in a fantasy world. However, unlike many LitRPG’s, the system has both a definite beginning and definite limits to what it is able to accomplish – rather than a singularly omnipotent, omniscient being that is tied to the laws of the world, the way systems are usually presented in LitRPG’s, the system is close to both, but has definite limits and rules which it operates by. This story is also relatively slow, since that is my writing style. The main character also begins the story as a young, 15-year old girl who has yet to finish high school, and is going to explore more of the world around her as she grows as a person and starts to get her feet under her. A Forgotten Hero
(author: This is gonna be a long synopsis I apologise. This should be a prolouge but as you will see I have a seperate prolouge, please forgive me. This fiction as a warning beforehand is as basic as it comes, prettymuch following all story conventions of both the mecha and school life genres. I am mostly writing this to figure out my writing style before I begin something truly creative and uique. I dont wanna ruin something I worked hard on by being illiterate. Also illustrations are at a minimum because all I have access to is MS paint.) In the year 2028 humanity (accidentally) created the means to travel great distances through space in a short period of time. This has led humanity down the road of great technological advancement and also led to the spread of humanity across their home system and just begiining first steps upon other solar systems planets. In the year 2033 the human colonies in space broke from the chains of their old countries creating hyper advanced societies disregarding nationality and any other defining factor. Two space societies formed the Solar Empire a monarchic society with its capitol on the moon Titan which controeld the entire human home system aside from Earth which still remained divided into seperate contries. The other was the Extra-solar Leauge. A mysterious society outside of easy contact range with any other humans besides themselves. To help with construction and other work outside of sealed and breatheable atmospheres of their cities and ships the Solar Empire and Extra-Solar Leauge created what became known as Advanced Movement Shells(AMS). These machines are best described as huge exoskeletons or "mechs", and they aided greatly in getting things done by increasing strength, durability, and the amount of tools able to be used. They also aided in quelling rebellions among extremist groups forming in these new societies. Finally in the year 2050 the Solar Empire having divinated their emperor, and now beliving themselves to be their religions chosen people, the Solar Empire declared a holy war of conquest against all the nations of Earth in order to conquer it under the idea that all humanity was required to bend to their divine emperors rule. The first month of the war whent badly for earth as the divided nations fell one by one due to the Empires superior weaponry among other technologies which made their forces nearly invincible. The AMS were used to great effect due to their almost "magical" level of technological advancement. Some nations able to put up some kind of defense created their own versions of these technological terrors. From there the war became a brutal stalemate and suddenly was won by the forces of earth. Why this is still hasn't come to the light of the common man, but one thing is for certain it took a heroic effort from one, or many people to win it for humanity...

Unwitting Champion
"In stories this is always easy. There's magic and powers, and quick steps to claiming that power for one's self. This doesn't feel true for me. I'm supposed to be a Champion, whatever that means, and yet I don't feel important. I don't have all the bells and whistles, which honestly feels familiar even in a new world. But what was I expecting? I haven't had the worst life - there are people with worse problems than mine - I've known what it is to struggle, to be pulled down instead of being helped up.This is nothing new."When in great peril, the Kingdom of Althor has no choice but to send a call into the void, beseeching the Fates to bring them a man who would save them from the coming darkness. Unfortunately the path the Fates chart is often unknowable to men and the Champion who appears is not what the kingdom expected.Unwitting Champion is a story of a guy displaced, dealing first and foremost with trying to survive in a world where he is no longer a person but a tool, and - at least from the reaction of those around him - a shoddy one at that. His major goal is to survive long enough that either he can run or find a way home, because as exciting as the possibility of learning magic might be, he would rather have a boring life than a short life.
