ShuYan held RuJin tightly in his arms, taking every chance he could get to hold him. One month had passed by so soon, it made him scared. One month of this relationship finally going forwards, ShuYan was happy. At the same time, he was fearful. He couldn't help but remember why he was in this place, and what all the sects were plotting.

He couldn't let anything happen to RuJin, not when they finally confessed their true feelings, when he was finally able to show RuJin that he also loved him. He pushed these thoughts away, he shouldn't think of these things when he was spending time with RuJin.

RuJin was nestled in his arms, and ShuYan couldn't help but smile. In this one month, RuJin had opened up much more towards him. Though he still couldn't help the cold expression that would appear on his face, he had this undeniable warm look in his eyes when he looked at ShuYan. Most of all, he was more expressive towards him.

He felt RuJin move, and he snapped out of his thoughts.

"Awake now?" He asked RuJin.

RuJin looked back, a mild, cold expression on his face, but his eyes were burning warmly with a blaze. He nodded his head.

ShuYan felt RuJin get up. He disliked the empty feeling in his arms but he watched as RuJin suddenly entered his bedroom. When RuJin appeared, in his arms, he was carrying an instrument.

RuJin walked towards ShuYan, and set it down on the table that they had been playing chess on.

ShuYan got a closer look at the instrument, and his heart couldn't help but drop. It was the same instrument as the one in his dreams. Not liking this thought, he quickly shook it away. That was only a dream, it couldn't happen in real life.

RuJin looked at the instrument he had took out. For some reason, he wanted to teach ShuYan how to play it. Maybe even teach him how to utilize the guqin as a weapon. Perhaps this thought occurred when he saw how beautiful ShuYan's hands were. White, pale, and long fingers, it was suitable for playing the instrument.

"What is this instrument?" ShuYan asked, looking over the instrument that had just been set in front of him.

"It's a guqin. I wanted to teach you how to play it." RuJin said, his fingers running across the seven strings on the guqin, trying to tune it.

ShuYan took a long look, seemingly questioning his ability to play something like that.

RuJin took a seat next to him, positioning his hands on top of ShuYan's, guiding him on how to position his hand.

"Like this?" ShuYan asked, his hands in a position that was a little awkward for him.

"No, like this," RuJin said while moving ShuYan's hands.

"Now play around for a bit. Your left hand can be used to play the guqin and it can also alter the notes, while your right hand will mainly be strumming the notes and plucking it." RuJin said, showing ShuYan all the different ways to play it, and the different techniques.

ShuYan watched RuJin carefully, admiring RuJin's concentration as he played a quick song on it. Then, ShuYan felt a force that seemed like someone was attacking him, but at the same time, not.

"What was that?" ShuYan asked RuJin, knowing for sure that it came from him.

"It's a forbidden art. Since you aren't as strong as most people, I wanted to teach you one of the forbidden arts, outlawed by many cultivators. This forbidden art involves using the guqin as a weapon. If you are able to focus your energy into the instrument, when you want to, the notes will bend to your will. There is a reason as to why this skill was outlawed long ago. The reasoning is because this exact skill was used to murder over 2,000 people in one hour."

"If you are able to practice this skill and perfect it, you will be able to become stronger in the future. The guqin may seem like a flimsy weapon, but once it reaches its full potential, the weapon is deadlier than any weapon. The guqin is one of four forbidden arts, and it is the second strongest. The four forbidden arts involve four different instruments. Strongest to least strongest would be the dizi, guqin, guzheng, and the xiao."

"But keep in mind that even the weakest of the four is still stronger than most weapon. The four forbidden arts were lost long ago after being outlawed, and nowadays, not many people still remember them. If they do, they don't know how to practice these skills. The only reason why I was able to find out about these skills were because of an accident. After jumping off from the cliff, I was able to survive and get myself into a cave. I spent my days there, searching around it for any useful items."

"On one day, I stepped into a hole that sent me to another part of the cave. I happened to find a book containing the information about those forbidden arts, and brought it back with me." RuJin's eyes never left the guqin as he told his story, and all that he knew about the four forbidden arts.

ShuYan looked at RuJin with sad eyes, his arms wrapped RuJin into a hug.

"I'm sorry that you had to go through all of that. I'm sorry that I wasn't there by your side thought your hardships." ShuYan whispered, his voice calming down RuJin's heart.

"It isn't your fault, I'm sorry that I once blamed you for everything. I was so hurt, I just wanted to blame someone else instead of myself for what had happened." RuJin replied, leaning into ShuYan's arms.

Silence filled the air, a soothing feeling was brought along.

"Do you want to learn this skill?" RuJin asked.

"If you are there by me to teach me every step of the way, I will be willing to." ShuYan replied, a smile covered his face as he out his head on the crook of RuJin's neck.

Dizi- The dizi is a Chinese bamboo flute played horizontally like the American flute dating back to about roughly 206 B.C. during the Han Dynasty. The dizi has many different keys, and also has a mo kong, which is an additional hole made to be covered with a special membrane called dimo, that is a tissue like shaving from the inner part of a bamboo or reed. This gives the dizi a more soulful sound to it. The mo kong is the second hole, while the breathing hole is the first hole. To put on the dimo, there is a special glue called ejiao that you can use. The ranges of all dizi is two octaves.

Guqin- The guqin is a seven-stringed Chinese musical instrument belonging to the zither family. The guqin does not have bridges under each string like a guzheng would. The guqin is a quiet instrument with a range of about four octaves. Sounds are produced from plucking the strings or strumming, and sliding the notes will give it a more reminiscent sound. This instrument dates back to 206 B.C. during the Han Dynasty. Each part of the guqin had a meaning to it. The upper board of wutong wood symbolizes heaven and the bottom board of zi wood symbolizes earth.

Guzheng- The guzheng is a Chinese zither and it commonly haves twenty one strings, tuned to have a pentatonic scale. It is a plucked instrument that has more than 2,500 years of history behind it. To play this instrument, most players will wear fingerpicks on their fingers on both of their hands. This instrument has bridges under each of its strings. The guzheng is linked to many other Asian zithers such as the Japanese koto, Korean gayaguem, Mongolian yatga, and Vietnamese dan tranh. The oldest version of the guzheng dates back to 500 B.C. during the Warring States Period. The guzheng became a well known instrument during the Qin Dynasty (221-206 B.C.) and by the Tang Dynasty (614-907 C.E.) the guzheng became a commonly played instrument.

Xiao- The xiao is a Chinese bamboo flute played vertically, with a range of two octaves. The xiao is a very ancient Chinese instrument that first appeared in 206 B.C. during the Han Dynasty, and is thought to have developed from a single end flute used by the Qiang people of Southwest China. In the traditions of xiao, it's sound is said to resemble the sweetness of a Phoenix's call, the King of Birds in Chinese beliefs. The earliest known xiao was made out of bird bones, and dates back to roughly 6,000 B.C. It wasn't until the Jin Dynasty (265-420 A.D.) that the number and positions of the holes on the instruments were standardized, and it's name was not finalized until the Ming Dynasty (1369-1644).
