《Dark Lord》Chapter 15

As Jiantang checked his son's wound, he noticed a green liquid flowing out of it. He knew that it was poison.
He took out a silver needle, with a little bit of the green liquid, he examined it. Then he became extremely angry.
Someone was actually able to get the most powerful poison in the world, Labyrinth. The poison came from a flower that bloomed every 100,000 years. The poison was so deadly, it could kill even a Gold Rank cultivator, in seconds.
As long as you touch the Labyrinth, you're already assure death. The poison would spread at a fast rate, slowly killing all the nerves in your body. Then, the poison breaks apart your muscles, and enters the heart. Once it enters the heart, the poison makes it stops beating right away. After that, it burns your whole body and leaves nothing behind as you turn into ashes. All of this in a matter of seconds.
There was one way to cure the poison. There was a flower called, The Golden Lotus. It was able to cure this poison, but it bloomed every 500,000 years. The Golden Lotus was too rare. Even if you waited that long to get it, you still need to locate it.
Jiantang had no ways to cure his son. Without the cure, there were no other way to cure the Labyrinth. He could only hope that his son would somehow make a miracle happen.
"Father, what's wrong with LuJin?" Mowan said, holding onto LuJin's hand.
"He's been poisoned with the Labyrinth." Jiantang said.
"Those bastards. If it weren't enough that they had try to kill him, they also dared to poison him." Mowan screamed.
LuJin was her only brother. She doted on him so much, even if he got scratch, she would still be worried. Now, seeing her brother lay on the bed, she couldn't believe it.

He couldn't be harmed. He was a supreme figure. He was one of only two who were able to become a Black Rank Cultivator. Not to mention, he stepped into Black when he was only 18 years old.
Being a Black Rank cultivator means that you could not be injured at all. Not unless you let them injure you. But why would LuJin let himself be harm?
"Mowan, tell me what exactly happened?" Jiantang asked.
Mowan nodded her head, slowly telling all the things she knew happened. About how LuJin's Life Jade started cracking, what happened when she arrived to save him, and the people tried to kill him.
When she was done telling her father, his face became twisted. His son was someone who was kind to all. He knew that his son was someone who appeared to be calm. Sometimes even too calm, but he always had a good heart.
"Hah. Xianghou, was it? They have big guts for people who are so weak." Jiantang said as his eyes turned dark.
"Father, is there a way we can get rid of the poison in LuJin?" Mowan asked.
"There is no way. Not unless we are able to get the Golden Lotus." Jiantang said as he shook his head.
Mowan closed her eyes. LuJin had been gone for so many years. Now that they had met again, she didn't know whether she could find it in herself to be happy.
Her brother was innocent. That she knew. She knew that deep inside, her brother would never do anything worth almost being killed like this.
Her sect was considered a dark sect. Shadow Sect, was what they were called by people. Nobody cared to change it. They weren't innocent. They had killed their fair share of people, but this was only after they had been provoked.

Even though they weren't innocent, they also weren't bad people. They had never try to take over the Five Nations, when they knew full well that they could easily do it. They stayed away from the lives of others and chose to wander in secret.
Those sect battles that were held every five years were something they always watch. Never had they participated.
The next one though. Things would change. It was because they chose to hide in the dark that someone tried to harm their own. It was because people didn't know that there are those who are more than they seem.
Just then, footsteps were heard.
Two beautiful ladies ran into the room. Stopping when they saw LuJin, and one of them stepped up, grasping LuJin's hands.
"LuJin-ah, my son. What has happened to you?" Li Meirin said.
(Li Meirin)
With her looks, you wouldn't think that she was the mother of three children. It also explains where LuJin got his beauty from.
"Mowan, what happened to him?" Nangong Moxin asked, her younger sister.
(Nangong Moxin)
The two were only 2 years apart. Moxin was 28, while Mowan was 26. Her Father was 50 years old and her Mother was 48 years old.
Moxin was a Gold Rank Level 7 cultivator, Mowan was a Gold Rank Level 5 cultivator. Her Father was a Gold Rank Level 9 cultivator and her Mother was also a Gold Rank Level 9 cultivator. LuJin was a Black Rank Level 8 cultivator. Although he is only 18, he is the most powerful person in history. His power was tremendous, stronger than all of them.
"He's been poisoned, Xin, and there's no way we can save him." Mowan said, hugging her older sister.
Jiantang grabbed his wife, hugging her and trying to get her to calm down.
The sound of sobbing echoed through the room.
Just then, a scream broke through.
"Father, Father, Something is happening to LuJin!" Moxin yelled, grabbing their attention.
Everyone turned their eyes to look at LuJin. Then, they saw changes happening. LuJin's beautiful black hair started turning white. A strange marking appeared on the left side of his face, making him look even more beautiful and enticing. It also made him look cold and distant, like a warning that you shouldn't get near him.
(LuJin's marking)
The wounds that scattered on his body slowly healed, and it seemed like he was never even injured. They knew that it was weird, but it seemed like his body was healing himself.
Then, they noticed him slightly moving. His fingers twitched slightly.
His eyes snapped open, a piercing red pair of eyes looked at them.
(LuJin's eyes)
His mouth opened, a coldness ran through their body.
"Who are you people?" A cold voice questioned.

Fallout: Vault X
An original novel set in the Fallout universe, written to be accessible to all, featuring unique people and places. Vol.II. out now Fallout: Vault X tells the story of John. A vault dweller, who spent every day of his twenty five years underground. Like his father, and his father before him. Proud to live in the last remaining bastion of humanity, all that survived The Great War of the atomic age. Hidden deep below the surface of the earth, toiling under brutal conditions. Year after year, decade upon decade. All to expand into the natural cave system the Vault occupied, building for the future. However, John knew what his forefathers did not, that everything he’d been taught was a lie. After finishing school at the age of ten, John received his standard issue pipboy. An arm mounted personal computer, worn by everyone in the Vault. Used to coordinate the relentless pace of expansion, needed to work as an apprentice. To learn the craft that would be his life’s work. A noble calling to ensure a future for all that remained of the human race. A quirk of fate saw John equipped not with the crude, clunky, pipboy model his father wore. That almost everyone around him wore. His looked smaller, sleeker, finished in a jet black sheen. And capable of doing far more than its drab counterparts. The world above had been ravaged by atomic flames, yet life clung to its bones. The Red Valley fared better than most in the century since the bombs fell. The clean water and rich soil protected by rolling hills. All spared from direct strikes, for the most part. Life survived here. Trees spawned from charred ground, misshapen, green leaves turned red. Along with simple crops, grown wild at first, then cultivated by the survivors. The scavengers of the old world were inventive, hardy people. All determined to rebuild in the ruins of a world they never knew. In the decades that passed settlements emerged. They grew, spreading along the valley floor. Reclaiming the pre-war remnants of the once industrialised heartland. Salvaging the robotic wonders of a bygone age to build their walls and work their fields. To protect them in the dark of the wasteland. But such things are uncommon in this world, and the rarer something is, the greater its value. And the worth of pre-war technology had not gone unnoticed. The last, real, power in this world rested in the mechanised hands of The Brotherhood of Steel. Forged from the mortally wounded old world military. The Brotherhood used its access to the weapons made for a conflict no one won to strike out into the wastes. Men and women were equipped with advanced armour, aerial transportation, high grade weaponry. Accompanied by the training, strength, and will, to put them to use. They established chapters and set up outputs far and wide. All dedicated to a single purpose. To ensure the technology left abandoned by its long dead creators didn’t fall into the wrong hands. Namely, any hands that were not their own. This is the world John escaped into. A place of horrors brought forth from atomic fire. A place where survival meant battling against the darkness. Fighting a war each day to get to the next. And war...war never changes
