《Dark Lord》Chapter 14

"Ha! Hahahha!" A loud laugh sounded out.
Everyone turned their head to look at the suicidal woman who dared to laugh when the Emperor had just been threatened, and the Crown Prince was injured. Their eyes landed on a woman, dressed in the clothing of a maids's. The people around her distanced themselves from her.
"Crown Prince, you have committed a huge mistake. If you had listened to the Consort's words then this wouldn't have happened. Consort Jin loved you. Loved you so much, that he spent his time looking at his door, hoping for you to arrive. He didn't poison your beloved, but yet, he still took the punishment you gave to him."
Xi Yu's eyes glinted with anger as she stared at Wu Luiyin, who was coughing out blood.
She was a spy. Sent from Fuyin to watch the movement of Xianghou. When she had first arrived, she was treated cruelly. That was until Consort Jin showed up and helped her. From then on, she decided to take care of him.
She knew the Consort Jin loved Wu Luiyin, but she felt that Wu Luiyin didn't deserve Consort Jin's love. Consort Jin was caring, was kind, was someone that many wouldn't be able to find in this world. Yet, he tossed it all away with a lie like this.
Consort Jin was someone who deserved better. He didn't deserved such a backstabbing man like this.
"You don't deserve his love. You never did and you never will." Xi Yu shouted.
She was a spy. Even if she was a princess, she was trained from young to learn about weapons and she also cultivated. She was as strong as the Emperor of Xianghou, but she would be breaking though soon.
She knew that she wasn't as powerful as Wu Luiyin, but she didn't care. Right now, he was wounded by the woman who saved Consort Jin. He deserved it.
"How dare a mere servant say those words!?" Ru Lian shouted, as she turned away from Wu Luiyin and looked at the maid, noticing that she was the maid of that man.
Wu Luiyin looked at the ground. Was it his fault? Then, he suddenly remembered something.

"Do you promise to love and trust me no matter what?"
The silhouette of a man stood next to a tree, the sun shining on his eyes, as he earnestly looked up at him. His hands twirled a flower in it, gently setting it on the tree.
"I promise."
"If one day, you were to break this promise, what would you do?"
With a smile, his face showed a tint of panic and sadness.
"Then I would let you go. I love you, and it would be like this forever. If I were to break this promise, you can move on in your life without bothering about me. I will peacefully let you go."
Wu Luiyin grabbed his hand, their foreheads against each other's as he looked into his eyes.
"Luiyin, I'm so scared that one day, you would toss me aside. That one day, you would abandon me for someone else. I can't help but think about this, and it scares me. I hope that you remember this promise."
"Jin, I will always love you. This promise, I will never break it."
All those words. He lied to him. He was the one to break their promise. He.....betrayed him. He betrayed the man who truly loved him, all for a child and the woman he use to love. He gave his love away, tore it to pieces then let him drown in his sadness.
Why? Why was he so stupid? He had everything, but he, himself tossed it away. Now, it was far too late to fix those thing.
Xi Yu lifted her head at Ru Lian. This woman was a two faced bit*h. It was because of her that Consort Jin suffered.
"The land of Xianghou deserves gaining another enemy. You may be strong with the help of your son but even with him, you would not be able to defeat them. Since it seems like you haven't notice what you've done, I will personally tell you." Xi Yu said.
All ears listened to her words, not prepared for the shock they would be given.
"The man that you have sentenced to be kill, was the son of Shadow Sect's leader. The man who is far more powerful than any of you, and the woman who saved him was his older sister, Nangong Mowan. Nangong LuJin, the most powerful being in the Five Nations, willingly became a consort."

"In the end, he was almost killed. He is far too powerful to be harm, but do you want to know why he didn't resist? Because he loved you. Because he loved you, he took this punishment. Now, you have put yourself in the most vulnerable place by offending those who should've never been provoke."
"Nangong Mowan has told you to prepare for your doom. This means that Shadow Sect will never let you off with what you have done."
Wu Luiyin closed his eyes. He knew something was different from Jin the first moment he laid eyes on him, but he pushed it away. How dumb was he? Had he ever payed close attention to Jin, or was it always Jin who payed close attention to him. Jin, no, Nangong LuJin, how deep was his love for him.
If it was really deep, then he would've never left Jin. It was because of him, being selfish because he knew that Jin wouldn't be able to give him a child. He really did deserve this.
The Emperor sat back onto his chair, his eyes wide open. They had made a huge mistake. Something that will cost them their lives.
The Empress sighed. It seems like no matter what, karma will come back to them.
Then, Xi Yu's appearance changed. The clothes she was wearing disappeared and her features changed. The ordinary looks were gone, replaced with a beautiful and heavenly face. She carried a sword in her hands as she floated into the air.
(Xi Yu)
"I am the Princess of Fuyin, Xi Yu. In all my life, I have never even more disgusted. Ru Lian, how dare you lie and say that Nangong LuJin poisoned you! You are the most evil person I have ever met. To make sure you rise and survive, you sacrificed the well being of your own child. Let me tell you, even if your child is born, because of your own doing, he will be a trash, unable to cultivate."
"No! No!!! Guards, capture her!" Ru Lian screamed as she clawed her hair, while glaring at Xi Yu.
Then her hands drifted towards her stomach. No. Her child would become a cultivating genius. Then, he would become the best Emperor to ever live and she would become the Empress Dowager. She would be the most powerful person in the palace.
Wu Luiyin woke from his thoughts at these words.
She-she actually poisoned herself. Knowing full well that she would hurt his child. She did all this, to frame Jin? And then, his eyes widened. He had been tricked.
Tricked into tossing the man he loved aside, tricked into believing that the man he loved had tried to poison his child.
Xi Yu stayed in the air, glaring at all these people. She hated everyone of them.
As she took her leave, Ru Lian's shout came. The palace guards ran towards her, intending to capture her.
She lifted her sword, slicing the air.
"Wind Of The Sword."
With those words, the heads of the guards flew off their neck, blood gushed out.
"Like Nangong Mowan has said, when we meet again, I will not let you off, Ru Lian. If it weren't for the fact that you carried a child in your stomach, you would've been long dead. Consider yourself lucky that you were able to gain the favor of Wu Luiyin, otherwise your title of Princess Consort would've been Nangong LuJin's. I would kill you, but the child in you is innocent."
She then turned away, secretly wiping the tear that came out of her eyes. She knew all along who Consort Jin was. She learnt everything about them from a young age, but never did she expect that a man like him was so kind.
But his kindness was what led to him being hurt.
She would await their meeting two years from now. And then, she would get his revenge, by killing that wicked woman.
