Chapter 72 : Deep Inside The Underworld Realm Part 2
"Brother, the human! The human!!!"
"What about the human?"
"Look! Isn't he beautiful?! He will be a nice food for a few weeks!"
"Didn't you see him back then? He was able to defeat Lang Zai in an instant! What if you suddenly die before you eat him?"
"But he's unconscious right now! Aren't we able to eat him right now? Brother, i'm starving...."
A soft rustling sound clung on Liu Xiao's ears that made his fingers flinch, he slowly opened his eyes and his long eyelash flutter gently.
"Kiiiieeeeekkkkk! Brother he's awake!"
"Awake?! What's awake?! Lang Zai?!"
"The human! The human!!!"
Liu Xiao slowly stood up with a frown.
The first thing he saw was a small cave in front of a big boulder, a bonfire was next to him and a blanket was covering him from the cold. He stared at the two kids infront of him, their skins were unsual lava red with a single horn on the center if their forehead and their eyes were grass green with a snow white hair while they wear a old robe.
The two were both glaring at him from afar, showing up their single fang with a small dagger made from a beast's fangs pointing at him. Liu Xiao tilted his head and arched his brows, the two kids flinched from his sudden movement and made a low growls.
They're so cute! Look they're like tiny human snake but a hostile version! Can i adopt them?! I can, right?! Even though Liu Xiao looked expressionless on the outside, he was shouting and giggling inside his mind. He slowly stood up while gazing down on the demon children, the two were holding on each other and trembling in fear at the sight of him, the daggers that was made from a beast's fangs fell on the ground and the two kids started to make a step back.
However, Liu Xiao doesn't seem to read the atmosphere and doesn't know how scary he looked from the children's perspective. He continued to walk forward while the two children continued to took a steps back, when the wall of the cave bumped into the children's small backs, the younger one shrieked in a low voice and clung to his brother tightly.

His brother spoke in a small voice with a look of bravery,
All of a sudden, a warm slender hand rested on top of their heads, patting them softly. The two children lifted their gaze at Liu Xiao who was smiling gently at them as he continued to pat them. The two children were dumbstruck and remained standing stiff while staring at Liu Xiao with their mouths slightly opened.
A soft voice resonated throughout the corners of the cave.
The younger one answered while hiding back on his brother.
Liu Xiao smiled again.
The two children were dumbstruck again and remain standing stiff with their mouths slightly opened. Liu Xiao's lifted his both hands and rested it on his back, he was able to restrain himself by just patting them. He originally planned to hug them tightly and kiss their small cheeks then pinch them to the point that they will be sore and red but he thought that he will most likely scare the kids so he just patted their heads.
The younger one was taken back and doesn't seem to be scared of him anymore. He also forgot his objective of eating Liu Xiao and approached him with a big round green eyes.
Liu Xiao raised his eyes and was dazed for a while before answering,
The younger one was astonished.
Liu Xiao slightly flinched and bit his lips. GAAAAHHHH! HE'S SO CUTE! I WILL ADOPT HIM AND HIS BROTHER AFTER I GET OUT OF HERE! I SWEAR! He took a deep breath to calm himself before answering,
The younger one lowered his gaze with a sad face, Liu Xiao felt guilty and spoke again.
The younger one's face brightened again and lifted his gaze.
Liu Xiao:
Liu Xiao shifted his gaze on the older one from the corner if the cave, looking grumpy and crossing his arms while leaning on the wall. Liu Xiao pursed his lips to restrain his smile. He looks like Bai Lan——Pffftt!
Liu Xiao smiled at him and gestured his hand.
The older one didn't answered but he still walked forward and sat beside his brother in a cross legged style. Liu Xiao gaze down at the two children, one looking innocent and happy and the one looking hostile and grumpy. For some reason, he can see Bai Lan and himself at the two children in front of him.

Liu Xiao clapped his hands.
The younger one tilted his head and stared at him with his big round green eyes and answered,
Liu Xiao's eyes widened and gasped. Holy fuck, they didn't have names?! What the hell even our dog have names! But these little kids didn't have?! He immediately cleared his throat and spoke,
The younger one was astonished and spoke with a smile, showing his small pointed fangs.
Liu Xiao immediately replied,
The younger one smiled even more,
Liu Xiao answered.
The younger one pondered before answering, (One Horn)
Liu Xiao's face immediately soured and the corner of his eyes twitched. He laughed awkwardly and ckeared his throat.
Younger one: (Red Skin)
Liu Xiao:
Younger one: (Red Fang)
Liu Xiao:
Younger one: (Snow Hair)
Liu Xiao:
Younger one: (Small Foot)
Liu Xiao:
Younger one: (Green Eyes)
Liu Xiao closed his eyes and his brows were twitching so much, he heaved a breath before opening his eyes with a forced smile.
The younger one smiled,
The older one didn't answer but he didn't refused either so Liu Xiao counted his silence as a "Yes". Liu Xiao rested his hand on his chin and pondered for a bit before talking,
( Chunxue means Pure Snow in chinese and Qianghuo means Robust Fire. )
Liu Xiao:
( Lu means green in chinese. )
The two kids were astounded but they didn't refused the names they were given so Liu Xiao let out a sweet smile.
the younger one——Lu Chunxue jumped in bliss.
his brother, Lu Qianghuo, nodded and remained sitting but his earlobes were flushed red and his lips were tightly pursed, as if he was restraining himself to be honest.
Liu Xiao spoke again,
The two children nodded and sat in a cross-legged position with their backs straight and their chin lifted. Liu Xiao let out a low "Mmn" then crouched down and started explaining.
Liu Xiao pointed their chests.
Liu Xiao instructed.
The two children followed his instructions. After a moment, a faint freen light appeared on their chest, Liu Xiao leaned closer and examined the faint energy of the spiritual core inside the kid's bodies. Liu Xiao frowned after a moment of examination, What is this? Didn't they said that they're low tier demons? How did they have poison attribute?
Poison attribute is a rare type of attribute for demons. Their attributes are most likely major attributes like Fire, Water, Earth and Air and the submajor ones like Lightning, Mist and plants. Poison attribute are one of the rare attributes that demons have, two percent out of one hundred had rare attributes and the two kids were on the group of the two percent who had them.
Liu Xiao remained staring at the faint green light in shock while thinking about how precious these two children were. If the other demons found out their rare attributes, they would rip their chest wide open and dug out their spiritual core a long time ago. Just a thought of that made Liu Xiao shudder in anxiety and he immediately swallowed hard to calm himself.
For the ones who were these children's parents, they did a good job on hiding them here at the plateau mountain. I salute you! Liu Xiao thought that their parents must have protected them and hid them here so they won't be killed, their parents must've been dead by now and their rare attribute were taken by some high tier demon.
Liu Xiao instructed them for a long time and the two kids followed his every instructions, Liu Xiao was suprised on how fast learner the two were. Even the Mount Hua inner disciples can't catch up to hin that much and two children was able to, Liu Xiao grinned inside his mind.
After the cultivating lesson, the three of them rested aroujd the bonfire, warming themselves up to the cold eerie breeze of the plateau mountain. Lu Chunxue suddenly asked,
Lu Chunxue replied,
Liu Xiao immediately answered,
Lu Chunxue smiled,
Liu Xiao smiled and nodded at him, he them shifted his gaze at Lu Qianghuo who was warming himself beside Lu Chunxue with a deadpan expression.
Lu Qianghuo:
For some reason, Liu Xiao's body suddenly froze, the single word sent shivers down his spine and made his abdomen tingled. He bit his lips hard and a deep voice resonated in his ears like a beautiful, pleasing melody that he won't get tired of hearing.
"Gege."
"Gege, it's dangerous."
"Gege, i'm back."
His chest tightened just by hearing Wu Qingge's voice but Liu Xiao knew that it was only an illusion. He immediately took a deep breath to calm himself and fixed his sitting position then cleared his throat. After a while, Liu Xiao spoke.

Tim the Engineer
Summoned against his will to a world of swords and magic, an engineering student struggles to find a way home under the shadow of a world devouring threat. ***************************** Updates: 5/13/19: Revisions to several chapters for clarity, grammar, and style. 4/29/19: A short side story and artwork has been added to the blog. 4/8/19: A Side Story has been updated on my new blog (every writer is required to have one). https://talesfromliahar.wordpress.com/ ***************************** “The summoning scenarios are broken down into groups of ten.” Emi Ito stated. “Don’t, don’t you dare say another word.” Muttered Genzo Uchida. His eyes had turned bloodshot and his hands shook with rage. “The first thirty…” “Shut up!” Genzo bellowed “How dare you help these disrespectful gaijin?” Flecks of spit and madness flew from his face, his fist raised ready to strike. But Emi did not flinch, instead she was about ready to continue when Yuma Takeuchi interrupted her. “Uchida, please,” her sweet sounding words could melt ice. “I think we will have a better chance of getting home if we all work together.” When she glanced up with her sleepy looking eyes at Genzo Uchida he deflated visibly. “Were not getting home.” Uchida said coolly. “Group summoning, large, that puts us in the 60 series. No one came to greet us after five minutes of arrival. That leaves scenarios 68 and 69. In scenario 68 there is something that binds the large group together; they are all classmates or a single family. But thanks to the gaijin” he spit out the word “I think we are scenario 69 with no way home.” Ikko Inoue’s eyes went wide, while Katsukno and Hayata started muttering to themselves. Tim took on a serious look and rubbed his scruffy chin. Emi maintained her stoic expression while trying to find something to refute. McKenzie glanced at Randall and giggled. Randall took the prompting of his teammate and followed up by approaching Genzo. “Uh, so we are in a sixty-nine?” “Yes.” Replied Genzo with the seriousness of someone who’s life was about to end. McKenzie covered her mouth and snickered. “You and me, were stuck in a sixty-nine situation?” Randall pushed with a grin. “Yes, we are all stuck in a sixty-nine scenario together!” Genzo retorted in anger. McKenzie fell on her butt laughing. “What the hell is so funny?” Demanded Genzo, whose face had turned red. “It’s a problem with the automatic translation.” Retorted Tim. Randall, who seemed unable to quit started in again “So, about this sixty-ni…” Genzo interrupted Randall with a swift punch to the face. But, because of their height difference it was a bit of an uppercut that left Randall rattled. Tim and Ikko moved to step in between the two, but Genzo showed no further hostility. Instead he just stared at his clenched fist with such intensity it grabbed the attention of the room. “I unlocked a skill.” He said bluntly. ***************************** This is not a light novel, but people who like light novels should enjoy the themes of this book. ***************************** A Map of the Region
