A large and wide wings went out of Liu Xiao's body, spreading open as it flew upwards and separated itself from his body, revealing it's very true form. An orange fiery bird between a phoenix and a swan emerged, it's sharp phoenix eyes staring directly at the Sea Serpent's teal green one.

Liu Xiao's mouth was hanged open while staring at Huangtian above. He felt his own body using his both hands to inspect if there's a backflash from the summoning or consequences but there was none! His old fart didn't lie to him!

A loud shout resonated in his ears to the point that it felt like his eardrums will explode. Liu Xiao held his mouth and his ears at the same time while kneeling on the ground.

Liu Xiao answered,

Liu Xiao paused and frowned.

His grandpa clicked his tongue because of his slow witted mind and replied furiously.

Liu Xiao snapped and yelled back,

Liu Xiao glanced at Huangtian's direction and saw that the bird was really looking sad and dejected. It glanced down at Liu Xiao and it's fiery sharp phoenix eyes stared deeply at him.

Liu Xiao sincerely apologized to Huangtian by bowing and mouthing "I'm very sorry" to the bird. Huangtian seemed to understand him and nodded it's head then glanced back at the Sea Serpent infront of them, it's sad and dejected expression slightly decreased.

The Sea Serpent staggered as her teal green eyes stared at the beautiful massive bird infront of him and glanced down at Liu Xiao whose eyes and the jewel on his forehead were both glowing orange and he doesn't even realized it.

she roared as she spoke with great shock while looking at Liu Xiao and Huangtian, her teal green eyes glancing up and down.

Liu Xiao tilted his head, his glowing orange eyes looking puzzled.

The Sea Serpent roared again.

Demigod, she say? I can't even shed golden tears! How am i a demigod?! That's utter bullshit. The Sea Serpent roared vigorously and whipped her tail to Liu Xiao's direction, Huangtian gracefully flew down and it's sharp claws grabbing on the Sea Serpent's tail and burning them. the Sea Serpent roared and yelled in pain.

Earlier, on her mermaid form, she was looking beautiful and majestic with her mesh teal green fabric dancing around her shoulder down to her tail and her voice sounds like a beautiful lullaby. But now, on her Sea Serpent's form, she was no different than a wild monster wreaking havoc and trampling everything on sight.

Liu Xiao really felt bad at her he let Huangtian fight her and continiously burn her tail and scratch her scales with Huangtian's fiery claws as the two of them fight. His glowing orange eyes glowed even more and the jewel on his forehead radiated a clinging sound.

Huangtian flapped it's wings and with a large force of it's wings, a surging wave of fire attacked the Sea Serpent's direction, the Sea Serpent roared back and parried the surging wave of fire with her teal green water barrier and followed her tail stretching to Huangtian's direction and slammed Huangtian back, making Huangtian knockback from the large force but still maintained flying in the air.

Liu Xiao murmured as he stared at Huangtian who was staying still and alarmed by the Sea Serpent.

That murmur was like a hidden message that both of them shared for themselves. Every word that Liu Xiao murmured was heard by Huangtian, it's fiery sharp phoenix eyes glanced down at Liu Xiao who was smiling at him with his thumbs up to cheer him and all Huangtian's confidence that he had lost earlier from Liu Xiao's wrong summoning came back, making it's wings scorching hot even more and it's sharp claws sharpened even more as it's fiery sharp phoenix eyes radiated a glow.

With a single flap Huangtian's fiery red wings, the beautiful mythical bird was infront of the Sea Serpent in a flash, slashing her scales swiftly to the point that you could only see the bird's orange shadow silhouette from afar as it flew around the Sea Serpent rapidly as if the bird had been set free for the first time, opening wide it's beautiful wings and strengthening it's sharp claws as Huangtian repeatedly slashed the Sea Serpent's scale, showing some deep bleeding cuts with scratches around her body.

The Sea Serpent cried in pain, shrieked and roared as she repeatedly stretch out her tails and whip them to Huangtian's direction, her eyes lingered on Liu Xiao then shifted to Wu Qingge on the back and her mouth opened wide, revealing her fangs and long tongue like a snake. A teal green energy mixed with black smoke conpressed on her mouth, making a large pearl shaped light and shooted it to Wu Qingge's direction like a fast laser beam.

Wu Qingge's eyes was closed and was focused on healing the four at the same time. Liu Xiao's eyes widened when he saw a teal green with a black laser coming on Liu Xiao's direction. He had no time to order Huangtian and ran back to block Wu Qingge's body but a black and purple barrier covered Liu Xiao instead, making the incoming laser attack bounce back to the Sea Serpent and shooted her opened mouth.

Wu Qingge opened his eyes and glared at the Sea Serpents whose mouth was bleeding non stop from the damage and collapsed to the teal blue marble floor. Liu Xiao was still catching for his breath as he glanced back at Wu Qingge who had just finished healing the four that looks like they were in a good condition and sleeping peacefully. Liu Xiao let out a breath of relief and his trembling knees losed balance and made him kneel on the floor, Huangtian roared and landed to the teal blue marble floor, shrinking itself into a human size because the bird was as big as the Sea Serpent earlier while they fought.

Liu Xiao glanced at the four.

Wu Qingge crouched down at him and supported him to stand up by holding his waist and his other hand. Wu Qingge glanced at Huangtian with a dark expression then glanced at Liu Xiao who was still slightly trembling.

Liu Xiao glanced at him, their noses suddenly brushed on each other because of the close distance and Liu Xiao shoved his face away and shook his head.

His grandpa didn't lied at him, his posituve and negative thoughts were really mixing and bumping on each other, making his mind seem complicated and his whole body feel nauseous from the mental back flash. Liu Xiao glanced at Huangtian who was staring at him with it's fiery sharp phoenix eyes and smiled.

Huangtian nodded and growled as it crawled and entered his body, removing all his mixed up thoughts and trembling body in a flash as if they never existed in the first place. Liu Xiao heaved out a sigh before standing up and looking at Wu Qingge who was looking at him with a slight concern written on his face. Liu Xiao said, refereing to the Sea Serpent.

Wu Qingge nodded and stayed still behind while Liu Xiao walked forward to the lying Sea Serpent, growling slightly and her body already bathed in her own blood. A teal green light mixed with black shadow covered her whole body and the teal light shrunk into a shape of a human with a fish tail again, turning herself back to her mermaid form. Liu Xiao sat beside her whose mouth was bleeding and her snow white skin full of deep cuts and scatches that Huangtian made.

The mermaid glanced at Liu Xiao who was lowering his head and just sitting beside her silently, she reached out her hand and held him.

Her beautiful voice was now hoarse and ugly because her throat was already destroyed, the more she talked, the more blood rushed out of her mouth.

Liu Xiao replied as he stared at her snow white hand that was holding him,

The mermaid smiled.

Liu Xiao shook his head.

The mermaid stared at him.

Who? Liu Xiao tilted his head in confusion but the mermaid suddenly ripped out her chest and grabbed the glowing teal green pearl on her hand and handed it out to him.

Liu Xiao stared at the mermaid who was smiling and accepted the pearl with his trembling hand, carrying it with outmost care and helding onto it tightly. The mermaid breathed heavily as she stared at the dawn sky.

Liu Xiao glanced at her and the looked up the sky with a nod.

The mermaid's colorless dry lips full of blood let out a smile.

Her eyes became heavy, and her breathing became slow and shallow as she spoke.

Liu Xiao replied,

the mermaid said as she breathed her last breath.

The last thing she saw was the rising sun and the last thing she heard was a thing that she will never forget in her whole life. No one talked about her sufferings, and no one cared about it either. Saying that everything will be alright is like a beautiful melody that sounded pleasing to her ears, and she wanted to play it over and over again.

For her last breath, her sufferings, her sorrow, her anger, her pain...all of them disappeared as if they never existed. And was replaced by a bright light that comforted her with so much warmth. It was the best death ever, and she had no regrets.
