Chapter 31 : Sheng Jing Mine Part 1

T

he cave seemed so wide and long while Liu Xiao continued to walk towards the pure spiritual qi's direction. He felt guilty looking at the souls of the cultivators embedded inside the crystals, having a spiritual core is an unparalleled treasure to any person because not anyone can possess them. Yet the spiritual core of those people were reduced into these, it was truly devastating.

A faint sound of a voices asking for help still remained inside Liu Xiao's head. He felt creep out but at the same time he also felt pity. He could only keep himself sane and endure the ringing sounds of the voices while he continued walking forward.

After walking for a bit later, a faint silver light appeared on the edge of the cave. Liu Xiao immediately charged spiritual qi in his feet and leaped to that silver light in a flash. As soon as he landed on the ground, his eyes were blinded by the twinkling silver lights until it got used to it and he was able to see a surprising sight.

An old man wearing a white and silver robe sitting cross-legged in a white jade cylinder stone while a large amount of those twinkling silver crystals were surrounding him, absorbing the faint spiritual qi leaking out of the old man's body.

Unlike those small crystals as small as a human's palm that were at the entrance of the cave, the crystals infront of him were so large and it was comparable to a full length sword. It was all shaped into an odd long sizes and clinging around the old man, the pure spiritual qi leaking out of the old man's body were pulled by those crystals.

The face of the old man looked so peaceful, as if it went to a deep sleep. His white eyebrows were not frowning, his eyes softly shut and his lips tightly closed. The old man's body still looked freshly pale and it didn't smell like a rotten corpse, it's pure spiritual qi were flowing non-stop inside his body in an endless state, as if it was not used for so long, causing it to leak.

Liu Xiao askeed himself as he stepped forward to approach it.

As soon as he approached it, the slender plum blossom petal mark on his forehead started to itch again but he didn't want to scratch it and continued to approach the old man's body. One step away from the sleeping old man, the mark on his forehead radiated a blinding orange light and Liu Xiao suddenly screamed, he felt his head was about to split open.

Liu Xiao was screaming in pain non-stop and he was losing his balance, making him kneel infront of the old man. He hurriedly raised his hand to cover the mark and tried to remove it but the mark swelled inside his head and the edges of the skin around it split open, an orange jewel of a slender plum blossom petal emerged on his forehead. When he finished his closed door cultivation, the mark only appeared on his forehead as if it was a birthmark or a tattoo so he wasn't able to remove it. But now the mark went out of his skin, turning into a slender orange jewel. The mark on his forehead became an accessory, it was beautiful and shiny.

After the mark went out his skin, all the pain Liu Xiao experienced earlier suddenly disappeared, as if he never experienced it in the first place. He immediately stood up, looked at himself in the silver crystals and used it a mirror. He stroke the jewel in his forehead, frowning at it and trying to figure out why it went out of his skin like that. Liu didn't dare to pull the jewel out because he was scared that a hole will appear in his forehead and he will slowly die in blood loss so he just let it be.

Liu Xiao unsheathed his sword out of instinct and pointed it on the old man who had now opened his eyes and looking at him with a suprised expression.

The old man frowned at him and in a slight move of his index finger, Liu Xiao's mouth was forced to shut. The old man flicked his forehead lightly and the jewel made a low clang sound. Liu Xiao didn't felt pain but the clanging sound of the jewel tickled and made him twitch slightly.

the old man reprimanded him while lightly flicking his forehead.

Liu Xiao struggled to open his mouth, looking at the old man with a puzzled expression. The old man noticed that he was struggling to speak so he slightly moved his index finger again, releasing the seal on Liu Xiao's mouth.

Liu Xiao asked confusingly. The old man flicked his forehead again and he groaned from the slight pain.

the old man shouted in disbelief, looking at Liu Xiao with a disbelief in his face.

Liu Xiao only tilted his head and stared at the old man infront of him. He was still caressing the jewel on his forehead when the old man got a silver hairpin from nowhere and pointed his jewel. the old man said, with a full smile on his face.

Liu Xiao was dumbfounded. He had no clue on what the old man is saying and only remained to tilt his head in confusion. The old man noticed his expression and laughed out loud to the pont that he was holding his abdomen and slamming the cylinder jade stone. Liu Xiao was wondering if the old man had a problem in the head or he was naturally born insane but he still remained silent while his mind was still catching on everything that was happening to him right now.

the old man said while shrugging.

Liu Xiao rolled his eyes and replied, the old man flicked his forehead again.

the old man shouted while putting his loose white hair into a bun using the silver hairlin he got from nowhere earlier and continued, Liu Xiao raised his brows and waited to listen, still looking confused and clueless.

as soon as the old man tarted explaining, Liu Xiao got the gist of what was now happening. This is the history of the original "Liu Xiao". He listened intently on the old man's explanation, not letting a word pass.

the old man shrugged and Liu Xiao frowned at him. Old fart you adopted me just because i'm beautiful?! Weird old fart!

Liu Xiao looked at the old man who claimed himself as his granpa who only raised him for three years. He touched the jewel on his forehead. Liu Xiao asked, reffering to the jeqel on his forehead.

Liu Xiao reolied in annoyance and the old man—his granpa flicked his forehead.

his granpa yelled back.

Liu Xiao yelled back.

The grandpa and grandson argued a bit longer before Liu Xiao's granpa realized where he was and suddenly paused. his granpa asked.

Liu Xiao frowned back at him and answered,

His granpa was stunned for a moment, and suddenly all the veins in his head were about to pop out as he yelled at the top of his lungs!

a sound of another old man was heard in a floating black lotus flower. Liu Xiao was surprised to see the elder and Wu Qingge who had arrived just now. He immediately approached Wu Qingge to check if he had injuries but there was nothing except some cuts on the sleeves of his black red robe and his heavy breathing.

his granpa replied to the flower.

The black lotus flower slowly turned into a figure of the Former Mount Hua Peak Master and they exchange words with his granpa.

the elder exclaimed, looking at the gigantic twinkling silver crystals all around in disbelief.

Wu Qingge asked beside him. Liu Xiao simply answered but he remembered something and asked,

Wu Qingge replied, leaving a slight curve on his lips and continued.
