《Festival Of The Gods [Unedited]》The Man Who Speaks With The Dead

Couple minutes later we reached double doors and we all stopped. The girls each grabbed one doorknob and turned to me.

'Have fun, miss' first one said with unnatural smile.

'Everybody is waiting' second one gave me another fake smile. I didn't like them one bit.

With one synchronized pull they opened doors and I was met with buzzing crowd. There were hundreds of people in the ballroom kind of room chatting, drinking and dancing. The room itself was white, pillars were supporting the ceiling. To my right were a bunch of people playing different instruments, right before me were tables, pushes back by the wall, full with all kinds of food. I turned my head to the left and saw a half circle made out of thrones. Their shapes were all different, showing what God sat there.

The moment I walked into the hall, doors were shut behind me and everybody turned their head to me. It took them only a second to begin murmuring between themselves and I knew the topic was me.

I scaned the room once more and decided to have something to eat. As I began walking, avoiding people as much as I could, I heard a familiar voice scream my name.

'ERAAA!!!' I sharply turned and saw Astrid bolting towards me. She gave me a bear hug and lifted me into the air while I just laughed at her childish act.

'I'm so glad you passed' she said as she put me down and I looked at her confused.

'Passed? What do you mean?'

'Passed as in won over your God and he let you live' Astrid smirked and I glanced at people surrounding us. Only now I noticed that few of them were glowing. Like, I could see different colour of auras around them. Those few also had a lot more expensive clothes than us that didn't resemble greek fashion at all and some even had armor. They all had tattoos on different parts of their body in all kinds of shapes. If I were to guess, it was a way of them saying "I'm a God/Goddess bitches!".

'I see. So what now?' I asked and looked at Astrid who simply shrugged.

'If I would guess then we wait for our Gods to take us.... wherever they are living' she said and I frowned.

'I'm not going anywhere with a stranger to whom I had to almost sacrifice my friend' I said with my plain voice, but before Astrid could respond, a voice, very light and beautiful at that, rang through the hall.

'Well, well, well! If it is not a champion of Hades' the voice said and I turned to a woman who spoke. She was very small with long silver hair that curled down her back. In her hand she held a mask with a sad face. I noticed that around her neck was a silver tattoo with notes that looked like a necklace.

'With the voice almost as good as yours, Melpomene' another voice said and all looked towards the thrones. I noticed a man sitting in the middle. He had white hair to his shoulder that curled a bit, white beard and super light blue eyes, just like the sky. He wore white tunic with gold embroidery and his tunic was worn the way that everybody could see his muscles.

I felt that the woman before me was important, so I glanced at Astrid who shook her head.

'She is the muse of chorus or muse of tragedy' she whispered and my face lit up. So she was one of the nine muses.

Melpomene saw our little exchange, but said nothing. She grabbed my hand and pulled me right in the middle of the hall, before the thrones.

'Are you saying that a human has a better voice then me, father?' Melpomene asked, but her voice changed on the word father. It was as if she was mocking him.

'All I'm saying is that she has a beautiful voice' Zeus said and looked at me. I felt shivers go down my spine when our eyes met. I felt like puking.

'Maybe you would like to sing for us?' Zeus asked and I threw him "whatthefuck iswrongwithyou" look.

'Uhhh... nooo?' It came out like a question, but all I wanted to do was get away from his vision field.

'You can't defy my orders, human' he said in "I'm a fucking God" voice.

'That was a request and I declined it you... you.... pervert!' I shouted outraged by the way he was treating me. My burst was met with gasps and not approving whispers.

'How dare you to call me like that! I am not such a man!' He shouted while bolting from his throne, trying to intimidate me. I wasn't.

'Really? How about we count how many kids you have whose mother is not your wife Hera?!' I shouted back and silent stayed in the hall. Zeus was shocked and tried to come up with something to say, but it was impossible to outweigh my fact.

'The truth always hurts, right? I'm surprised she is with you at all after how many times you hurt her' I said with disgust in my voice. Zeus sat down and looked at me with his stormy eyes, bit his voice went back to calm one.

'Wifes have to stay with their men' he said and I let out unwomanly snort.

'Oh please! Do you think we are spineless or something? You know, there is this thing called "divorce" from where I came from. It lets married couples to split up officially' I said with a smirk and Zeus let out a growl.

'There ia no such thing here!' He shouted, loosing his temper again.

'But we can always have a hearing! If Hera agrees, all eleven Gods will vote to let Hera leave you or not and if she gets six yes - she is free. You, obviously, will not be able to vote since you are the thing she would be getting away from' I said and Zeus was about to say something when a strict voice interupted him.

'I would like to hold the hearing' a woman walked in and sat next to Zeus, looking straight at me. She was stunning. Thick, black hair cascaded down her shoulders while her striking blue eyes would make any guy fight for her. She wore a dark cherry colour dress with golden jewellery adoring her arms and head.

'Hera...' Zeus began, but Hera shut him up by raising her hand whitout looking at him.

'We will have the hearing, but not today. Today, champions meet their Gods and get to know each other. Era, I will contact you myself for details when I'm ready' she said and gave me a friendly smile. I returned the smile.

'I will wait for your message. If Cerberus won't be chewing on my bones' I added and she chuckled.

'Let's hope not' with that she left Zeus and joined Athene in the corner. The armoured woman looked worried and both of them began discussing something.

Feeling that I was not needed, because Zeus was staring at Hera and Melpomene was gone, I walked away from thrones and began searching for Astrid.

I couldn't find her, but I found a garden instead. To my surprise, it was night time in here. It had bushes with closed flower buds, trees grew along stone path making a green tunel, far away I saw a marble gazebo in the middle of the lake and decided to go there. It was very peaceful and despite all the noise coming from the hall, non made it's way here.

I made my way to the gazebo and grabbed the rails.

'Fucking genius' I mumbled to myself. I just made the main couple of the olimpus to, most likely, get divorced. But if the woman is not happy with the man then that was right choice. Even though I most likely made Zeus my enemy.

'That was scandalous' a voice of the man said and I felt my body freeze. Before I even turned around I knew who it was. The voice was calm and collected, but cold as an Antarctica. I watched as goosebumps appeared on my arms and then slowly turned around.

At the steps of the gazebo stood a man. He had black hair that fell to his mid back, his eyes were blacker than the night sky and looked directly at me. He wore black tunic that still showed his strong arms, covered in black thorn like tattoos, and had a silver cloth across his chest and over his shoulder with shining white runes. Around his torso was a big chain with four keys in different shape. His wrist were secured in silver wristbands and on his head was a crown made out of the silver as well. It looked like it was made out of silver bones.

He was really handsome. "Please take me!" kind of handsome.

'Who...are you?' I played dumb, but he didn't buy it. He slowly walked up the steps, his black sandals making no sound and his eyes never leaving mine, and like a predator aproached me.

'You don't need to play stupid. You know very well who I am' he said and placed his hands on the railings beside me, locking me in the spot. He was really close to me which made me nervous for some reason and I instinctively leaned back.

'The man who speaks with the dead' I whispered not able to look away from his eyes.

'Correct' his cold voice trailed down my spine and I knew that this man was a real deal.
