If the Brakey ship sinks I'm going down with it

Bryan was practically shaking in excitement. Jakey had been so busy for the past few months that they barely even got hang out and they finally planned a night together.
Sitting outside on the old picnic blanket he found in his house, the brunet could just imagine his boyfriend's light brown eyes twinkle as he looked at the sight that would be before him.
A field full of fireflies. While Bryan was trying to find a good spot for start gazing he found this place which had hundreds of them. They shone like stars and gently flashed at one and other as if they were saying hi. The boy let out a small smile. Tonight was going to be amazing.
"B-Bryan? Is that yo-you?" Bryan jumped a foot in the air after being snapped from his thoughts. "Oh I'm sorry Bryan! I didn't mean to s-s-scare you!"
Bryan immediately blushed, partially in embarrassment for his reaction but mostly because Jakey was looking cute at always. The light of the moon and stars above showed his boyfriends wavy blue hair that spilled from his Oliver hood, and the blush on his cheeks that went over the few faint freckles that dotted along his face.
"It's okay Jakey. I just zoned out there and you snapped me out of it is all."
"Oh I'm sorry!" Oliver went next to his owner's side, looking up at Bryan with his adorable eyes.
Bryan let out a giggle at his boyfriends fretting. "Jakey I told you it's okay. A-actually wait!"
The man stood up and swiftly covered his boyfriend's eyes. "I found a beautiful view and I want it to be a surprise I guess and you haven't noticed it yet so I'm going to show you now!"

"R-really? That sounds nice! I can't wait to see it!"
"You'll love it babe! Ready?"
"Um ya I t-think so!"
"Okay 3, 2, 1!" Bryan removed his hand, preparing himself for Jakey's happy reaction to the fireflies.
It never came though. In fact, just the opposite happened. Jakey let out a squeak and then dashed behind Bryan, Oliver following suit.
The shorter boy was confused by his boyfriend's reaction, said boyfriend who was currently crouching himself down so he could bury his head into Bryan's back and was gripping onto his red shirt.
"What? Jakey are you okay? Did you see something scary?" The thought of something that scary that it caused Jakey to rushed behind him caused Bryan to instinctively reach for his fire magic, ready to use it if need be.
"Yes I did!" The blue haired boy exclaimed, Oliver letting out a frighted noise as well.
Bryan readied himself even more. "What is it babe?"
"I-its-it's t-the."
"The what Jakey?"
"T-the fireflies!"
.
..
...
All that could be heard was crickets.
"You're scared of-" Bryan paused for a second to regain his thoughts. He turned to face his boyfriend. "The fireflies?"
Jakey glanced up at him with puppy dog eyes and slightly nodded his head.
Bryan looked at the other male for a few seconds, before bursting out into laughter.
"Hey!" Jakey got up from his crouched position. "Y-y-you know I'm scar-scared of b-bugs! And-and t-there's so many of t-t-them! Ew I can just imagine them crawling up my body!" He once again crouched and hid his head in Bryan's chest.
The brunet's laughter quickly died down when he realized how legitimately terrified the boy below him was. He could feel him practically shaking.
"Hey Jakey." He gently grabbed his face and made him look up at him. "If it's scary to you we can move. There's so many other good spots to go stargazing."

Bryan didn't miss the small blush that appeared on his boyfriends already blushed face. "I-I mean if you al-already found this sp-spot and like it I feel bad for-"
"Shhh." He cut him off, already use to Jakey's tendency to do whatever other people wanted to do and disregard his own feelings. "I don't mind. I don't need the view of fireflies when I have the view of you."
Jakey's eyes went as wide as dinner plates and his face went as red as a tomato. Bryan could practically hear the internal screaming that was going inside the other's head.
Jakey nervously rubbed his neck. "W-well if you s-sa-say so. Oh boy this is embarrassing. I've faced so much yet I'm afraid of little glowing b-b-bugs.
"We all have are own fears." He looked into Jakey's eyes. "Cutie."
"No you."
"No you."
"No you."
"No y-" Oliver cut the 2 lovebirds off with a "hiya!" and gave them an annoyed look below them.
"S-s-Sorry Oliver. We should p-p-probably relocate now. Oliver is getting bored and those fireflies are freaking me out a little bit. I think a few might be staring at me."
Bryan chucked at the other boy's nervous expression and grabbed his picnic blanket in one hand then held Jakey's hand in the other.
"Let's go then babe."
