Every life wizard was aware of the disease that could take their life like a thief in the night. Its deadly consuming the lungs with twisting vines and roots, flowers bloom to represent the love that could not be reciprocated be another.
It begins with an ache in the chest and an itch in the throat for the first few days it feels as if it were a common illness to others yes but to the wizard they know what it is. Then petals coated in the victim's blood begin to surface within the first week, in two or three beautiful flowers bloom and replace just the petals.
When the flowers bloom the pain is intense as countless flowers pour from their lips blood shining from each petal. It gets worse when the stems begin to form as some have thorns which shred the throat as they are coughed out.
There are only two ways to cure the disease first they love you back, second you get a surgery that removes it but also your memories of the loved one with it.
Its know as hanahaki and it's a silent killer.
Its was after a battle, he watched as Finnigan landed a strong hit ending the fight. His eyes lit up with a fiery passion that somehow bested his normal flare, Valerian commented on it with a strange kindness which is a rare ans Austin let a giggle escaped his lips at the behavior of the group.
While all he could do is smile and stare as he felt a sudden itch in his throat and an ache in his lungs. As he watched the scene unfold, a rare moment of friendship graced itself among his group and his heart tightened as he new why his lungs ached.
The walk back was slow and peaceful, as the happy chatter of his group chatted about the battle and how they wish to learn more magic He walked with the group lagging behind a foot a small smile plastered on his face his eyes hidden by his bangs glazed over in thought.

'Why them'.
'Ok yeah but why hanahaki'.
'But...' .
'I-i your right'.
'Yes'.
'Can I stop it?'.
'N-no'.
'I-i'.
Hey Mitch you taking notes?" ask Valerian.
"Huh, oh no sorry just thinking " he replied.
" yeah I do that sometimes " Finnigan cut in.
" I don't think your capable of thinking " Austin joked.
"What. hay i can think unlike Valerian" Finnigan snapped back.
" I'm sorry when did think became about me "Valerian snapped.
And within seconds both of the fizzle brothers were back to bickering. He let out a long tired sigh as the peaceful scene vanished.
" their they go" Austin said with a sigh.
" would it be to much to ask for them to get along for more than five seconds," he replied while shaking his head.
" that's impossible they have this weird rivalry going on " Austin said while giving the fizzle brothers an unreadable stare.
" yah" he he said while giving a shrug.
" well anyway you probably didn't hear but were all have a celebratory dinner at Finnegan's dorm room since we've saved Another street " Austin's gaze landed of him and he felt the itch resurface in his throat .
" oh is it today?" he asked.
" yeah in three hours or so " Austin replied.
" ok, should i make something?" he said accidentally saying the second bit aloud.
" you can if you want to " Austin answered which surprised him before he realized he asked aloud.
He gave a curt nod and kept walking his minds drowning out the bickering. Sound fell on deaf ears as he could only focus on the ever growing pain in his lungs and trying to hold in the urge to cough.
'What did I do?'.

'But I feel like if I do cough I won't stop'.
'I do?'.
'Wait why?'.
'Uh I guess'.
" hey i'm going to teleport back instead of walking".
" what, why?" question Austin as the other two didn't seem to notice.
'What do I say that i'm heading back to puke flowers?!'.
'What would i even say'.
the voice said causing him more panic.
" I thought of something I want to make and I need more time to make it " he lied.
"Oh ok see you later then ". Austin said without question.
" yeah um tell them I left when they finally notice " he said.
"Will do, have fun making whatever your making " Austin said while nodding his head and giving a thumbs up.
All he did was nod before casting that spell and vanishing in a swirl of autumn leaves.
When he appeared in his dorm room he collapsed to the ground in a coughing fit, his hand gently pressed against his mouth. nothing surfaced but it wouldn't stop the itch and the stinging in his chest. Tears prick his eyes and the coughing became raw and painful it wouldn't stop no matter how much he wanted it to.
It took five minutes for the coughing to cease, soft tears ran down his cheeks and saliva covered his hand. His other arm which was clenching his side loosed and his hand fell to his side. He stayed in the silence heavily breathing his body shaking from pain. Slowly his eyes open and he shakily stood up and head for the bathroom.
Using his clean hand to turn the tap he begins to wash his hands, the cold water running over his soapy hands as he scrubbed of all the spit trying to calm himself.Once his hands were clean he splash water onto his face washing away the tears, and healing the puffy redness of his face.
the voice gave a gentle hum jolting him back to reality.
the voice hummed.
all he could do was nod.
" yeah your right, as always " his voice ruff and pained.
the voice spoke while he turned off the water.
he couldn't speak or he just didn't want to.
the voices words as sweet as honey convincing him that it was the truth.
' can you be quiet for a second' it felt as if the voice was about to say another thing before it begrudgingly complied.
he stayed there in silence, in the calm as he focused on evening out his still heavy breathing. his hands firmly gripping the edge of the sink as he rocked himself back and forth on his feet.
finally felt he was calm enough and he felt no pain he grabbed the hand towel. When dabbing his face with the dry towel the voice spoke something that resurface his panic.

World Step (Rewrite)
This is a rewrite of my story World Step. Though, in reality, this is my first serious draft. The shadows grow deeper on the planet of Whorrl even as a dark, and ancient ritual takes place within the depths of The Abyssal Mouth—a chasm of both fortune and calamity. The story follows Quintin, a Grandmaster Martial Artist from Earth, as unforeseen elements conspire against him from the depths of space. *No Harem *Strong MC, but by no means does he go through enemies without injury or at least learning something. *Throw on [Horror], and possibly [Psychological] elements. *Dark Fantasy with some [Grimdark] leanings. Notes: this will be a place where I endeavor to rewrite and fix issues. With that in mind, expect revisions, edits, and other things of that nature.

First of all I'm writing for fun and I do not have a set schedule. Secondly I am releasing the Prologue as a test and if it gets good reviews I will carry on writing . Also if haven’t read/watched Overlord or Dragon Ball then you probably won’t understand a lot of this so I recommend doing so. My native language is English but there will probably be some mistakes so let me know if you find any. This is my first fiction so any advice is welcomed. Disclaimer:I do not own Dragon Ball or Overlord Other Disclaimer: I also do not own the cover art. If the owner wants me to take it down please tell me and I will do so immediately.
