《Killed by My Stalker (Complete)》Chapter 19: Destined Partner

Sheze left me a letter before leaving. I ended up sleeping through dinner and woke up with incredible back pain the next day. My back pain was a little more difficult to deal with than usual today, so I stayed in bed reading letters from Elze Kruger.
It was hard for me to get a sense of who she was with the original Lilian Lemaire's fragmented memories. Her letters also mostly described things about what other people did and the only thing she did mention about herself were the things she ate that day.
Elze Kruger went abroad for school, but I had never once seen her ever since I transmigrated and became Lilian Lemaire.
In her newest letter, she told me that she would be arriving in a few days and told me to meet her at a designated location on the day of the upcoming festival, which was also the location of where I was going to meet my stalker...
I cannot divert from the novel too much. I have to follow the events to understand the progression of the story and also properly face my stalker...
I had gone to the authorities and said that I believed that my life was being threatened and asked for protection. However, I was denied since there was no susceptible evidence presented. They were not willing to lend me someone because most of their men would be patrolling the festival grounds.
The same occurred when I asked a few guards from my home to accompany me. Terrible accidents or food poisoning happened to everyone I had asked for help.
It was as if the world was telling me to go there to die...
Later that night, I went to the designated area and waited that hopefully Elze Kruger showed up rather than the stalker this time.
Why does the stalker know where to pinpoint me in a crowd anyways?
Actually, even the spot Elze wanted to meet me at was close to a bad neighborhood and contained lots of dark alleyways.
I soon realized that I only noticed a someone following me when I received a letter saying that Elze Kruger was coming back...

Did Elze Kruger give my information to the stalker so that she could take my place beside Sheze?
I scoffed at myself.
If Elze Kruger was a bad person, it would be easier to say that I hate her. She was destined to be with Sheze like the novel portrayed. If she makes him happy, how could I come to hate her?
A tall person wearing a long hooded black coat peeked out of the shadows. I was suddenly reminded of when I first met my stalker and my legs buckled up.
Despite doing everything to better myself so that I could protect myself, I was still living in constant fear.
"No!" I screamed as I fell backwards.
"Lilian!" Sheze shouted as he came up from behind me.
I was in tears when I looked at his face behind me.
"...Sheze, what are you doing here?" I asked him as he lowered himself for me. The person from the shadows came out from the corner and suddenly got closer to us. "No! We have to go now!"
"Lilian! It's fine. I sent this person to protect you," Sheze said.
The person in the cloak revealed themselves. It was a woman with long cerulean blue hair tied up in a high ponytail and wearing a black Knightly uniform.
This person was following me?
"You sent someone to follow me around?" I asked Sheze. I stood upwards and pushed him away angrily. "How could you do this to me?"
I was extremely hurt. He had someone follow me without my permission...
"I was worried about you..." Sheze said.
"I do not like having people follow me from the shadows," I said as I squeezed my arm. "I do not have too many good memories of it."
"I'm sorry that I made you uncomfortable...Why are you here alone?" Sheze asked.
"...I was going to meet a friend here," I answered vaguely without looking him in the eyes. "Why are you here, Sheze?"
"I was worried about you and was right to worry seeing as though you were a crying mess earlier. I will take you home," Sheze said as he wrapped his arm around me. "Koran will wait here for your friend to come."

Can I really avoid fate like this?
If I leave, someone else may become a victim?
I am always indecisive and letting other people protect me. As a result, everyone else suffers because of me.
"Please let me go," I said as I shrugged Sheze off.
I am going to confront my stalker today. I came prepared after all.
"At least let me stay with you until your friend comes," Sheze insisted.
Sheze was never supposed to come here...What if Elze comes here too and these two end up meeting?
"...Please leave," I begged.
"...I like you," Sheze said with a pained expression. "What will it take for you to believe me?"
If you still have feelings for me after meeting Elze...I will apologize for having any doubt.
"Lilian!" a female voice rang from a distance.
I choked up at the sound of the high pitched siren sounding like voice.
Even without ever having met her before, I knew who she was immediately.
"Elze Kruger..." I said under my breath.
Elze Kruger was a beautiful girl with her short shoulder length dark gray hair, big black eyes, plump small pink lips, and beautifully slim figure.
I looked to see Sheze's reaction. He became stunned at looking at Elze Kruger. My heart sunk at the sight of him going starry eyed over her.
He had completely fallen for her.
Even though I met him first...even though I gave my everything to him...
In the end, it was never enough. I could not make him fall for me. This was my place...I was simply someone not meant for him.
"Lilian! I am so glad to see you," Elze said as she hugged me.
Why was she here?
According to the novel, she never showed up at the correct destination.
"I am glad to see you too," I said as I hugged her back. I soon pushed her off of me lightly. "Elze, I want to introduce you to someone. He is Sir Sheze Chaldean."
As I expected, Elze also became excited over Sheze from how her eyes flickered in excitement.
"I am Elze Kruger! You can call me Elze!" Elze said with a million watt smile.
"Do you mind showing Elze around?" I asked Sheze.
"I do not mind..." Sheze answered.
"That is great...I am a bit tired, so I will be returning home now," I said as I began briskly walking away.
"Wait, I will come too," Sheze said as he followed after me.
"No!" I shouted. Sheze and Elze were suddenly stunned by me raising my voice so suddenly. "I apologize for raising my voice...It seems that I am truly tired. Could I ask Miss Koran to escort me home?"
"I can..." Sheze began.
"I want Miss Koran," I said as I left them alone.
Those two will be able to fall in love much sooner. I should be happy but tears keep falling from my eyes.
"Lady Lilian, I think there is some misunderstanding between you two. If you two were to talk..." Miss Koran said.
"Thank you for trying to sympathize with me, but I know that I am not his destined person," I said as I wiped my tears away with my sleeves.
Thud!
Miss Koran suddenly fell forward face first onto the ground.
Why did she just...
I soon noticed a small pool of blood trickle from the back of her head.
"Miss Koran!" I shouted as I went to her. "Someone! Help!"
Why was she bleeding from her head?
"Don't cry, my dear Lilian," a voice from behind said. "Your man of destiny is finally here."
I looked behind and saw a bloody club belonging to a tall dark figure.
My eyes adjusted to the dark and saw a familiar face. His hair color was white and his eyes were a deep scarlet red color, but I recognized him immediately since his face had not changed one bit. The stalker who killed me and put me in this world had also transmigrated into this world with me...

The Forgotten Hero
Long ago, in the world of Thyne, the Alliance of the Free Races, a name they had given themselves, summoned a hundred humans from another dimension. Praised as heroes by the people, they rejoiced that they had been able to acquire pure, mana deficient humans that wanted to aid them in their time of need, ignoring the black, archaic slave collars around their necks or the depressed, almost hate-filled expressions that they received when interacting with them. After Ten years of bloody war, the dark races were pushed back deep into their territories. Both sides were near breaking point and desperate to end the war once and for all. In a bargain, the twelve surviving heroes launched a high-risk mission, utilising advanced tactics from their home world to kill the Demon Lord. In exchange, they would be sent home, along with the magically preserved corpses of their comrades, though in truth, they knew that even if they returned, they would never be the same. Legends say that, upon ambushing the Demon Lord in his castle, they finally understood the plight of the world, and in the last act of heroism, sacrificed their lives, sealing him in an eternal prison so his essence would not be able to create another. With the loss of the Demon Lord, and no chance for another to be born, the dark races quickly surrendered and the free races celebrated, honouring the noble sacrifice of the heroes before quickly forgetting about them as they returned to their everyday lives. However, legends are rarely truthful, embellished by the victors in order to earn praise as well as hide the less desirable aspects of their deeds. Trapped in the Demon Lord's throne room inside the Demonic Palace, which even taking a single step on its desecrated grounds is punished by death, two figures remain motionless. They had long run out of insults and threats to trade and now they waited. For what, not even the Gods knew.
