《Marooned With You》No Fish

The plane wreck is slowly coming into Mayanka's sights. But before he goes on and proceed with his objective for today, he took a detour and went down the steep slope. Mayanka wants to check if his fish traps, or he calls it, Inaki, caught dinner or not.

He's been craving for fish for a while, maybe you are too. Mayanka hopes that there are enough fishes to go around.

The man landed with a soft thud. He then got back up on his feet, dusting his waistcloth in the process.

Mayanka took large strides towards the fast flowing river, he wants to get this over with so he could go back and spend more time with you.

Usually, the cold pinches of the river would make a person cringe or shudder. Not for Mayanka though, he's used to it.

His yellow eyes roamed around, trying to remember where he kept his Inakis. Was it further down south? Mayanka scratched his head and pushed his hair away from his face.

Then, by chance, he caught a part of the river flowing oddly in the corner of his eyes. There you go, that's where he set his fish trap up.

Mayanka trudged on until he reaches the contraption. His fingers wrapped around the ends of the trap, he couldn't see his catch due to the water constantly splashing against him, but it felt heavy.

Mayanka grinned, it must be a good catch.

He grunted as he pulled it up, letting the water drain out of the gaps, revealing that it caught... something else.

He furrowed his eyebrows in confusion and disappointment. It's... a book?

He brought it with him back to land and rattled it, attempting to get the drenched item out of his trap.

plap.

Oh, it's the book that you lost yesterday. The long haired male sighed, well... at least it's something. Not fish, but it's something, alright.

He raised an eyebrow, what is so interesting about it? It's disappearance caused you to have a massive meltdown, maybe he could replicate whatever is in there instead. He doesn't think that you would want it back in this condition.

Mayanka slowly picked it up as it's rendered very fragile due to it being waterlogged.

He opened it to a random page, upon seeing that it's just words upon words that he cannot understand, he lets out a groan.

Mayanka flipped through the wet pages, nothing seem to catch his interest until...

A step-by-step illustration on how to start a fire.

Cold blood ran down his spine as he turned the pages. The pictures are certainly troublesome, he already understood that this is a survival guide of some sort. Even if it wasn't the book contained vital information that could allow you to survive without him.

If you acquire these knowledge and skills, you wouldn't need him anymore. That cannot happen, you to depend on him.

Mayanka growled in rage as he barred his teeth. Is that why you're so upset? You lost the ticket to escape him? How ungrateful.

He took a deep breath and calmed himself. Doesn't matter, whatever is in the past, stays in the past. He's not going to mention this to you nor give this back to you, ever.

Mayanka began shredding the book into ribbons, it was easy since it's wet and soft.

Mayanka came back with two luggages, sweat dripped down his temples and nose. It gave him a glaze-like coating over his sculpted body.

He entered from the back door.

"(Y/n)—" you're not laying on his bed. You're not even in the cabin!

Mayanka frowned, he does not want to deal with this now. He set the load down and ran out of the front door.

"(Y/n)!" He shouted.

"Huh?" You looked behind you to see an irate Mayanka. You caught the ball he made with your hands, you were playing with it outside.

Under the sun. Without your rattan hat or a banana leaf umbrella. At least you have clothes on, long sleeved too. Mayanka wouldn't need to worry about you having sunburns anywhere else.

He grabbed the rattan hat he made for you and took long strides towards your frightened form.

He nagged in his language, obviously you couldn't comprehend a word, but you knew it had something to do about being under the sun without protection.

While he placed the hat on your head, Mayanka gave you a harmless but slightly painful pinch on the cheek as a scolding gesture.

He continued blabbering like a motorboat in what you perceive as gibberish while pinching both cheeks now.

"Ow! I'm sorry!" You let out a dry sob as you tried pushing him away with your hands.

He finally lets go with a glare, you rubbed the sore spots. Mayanka bent down to pick your Sepak Takraw ball up.

He stormed away with the toy in hand.

"Hey! I was using that!" You chased after him.

Mayanka suddenly turned around and hurled the ball at you.

"Whoa!" You dodged in reflex. It flew past you and landed on the soft sand.

"What was that?!" You hissed. Mayanka gave you a disappointed frown as he drew a long line on the sand with his finger.

"What is he doing?" He took a few steps backward from the line and held himself in a volleyball stance.

"He wanna play?" Your movements were unsure and slow as you squat down to collect the ball.

You threw it up and slapped it in the direction of Mayanka's side of the 'court'.

His muscular legs contracted, exposing thick veins as he pumped blood through it to run. His hair, free and majestic, flowed through the air as Mayanka hit the ball with his forearms.

"Oh boy." It's flying towards you, so in a moment of panic, you slapped it downwards.

It collided with the ground, bounced a few inches away from your feet and then stopped.

Mayanka stood up straight and placed his hands on his hips. Annoyance and judgement was evident on his ruggedly attractive face.

He gestured you to throw the ball back to him.

You don't want to play with him anymore. Hence, you walked away and towards the waters lapping against the shore.

"The water is so clean." It's hard to believe that it can be this clear. You scooped a good amount with your hand and watch it drip down.

Mayanka pouted. Looks like you wanted to be left alone for now. He's not going to force you to play something you're not interested in.

If only he has this attitude towards sex...

Your companion grabbed the handmade rattan ball and tucked it under his arm. He deem it safe to leave you on your own until the sun sets.
