《Mianite: Unitended》Unarmed

We met up with Sonja in the bottom of the boat. Jordan didn't even stop to explain to Sonja. He really, really wanted to catch the pirate captain.
Of course I wasn't aloud to go along. Sonja told me to stay at the boat and find Tucker.
I wasn't able to find Tucker.
So I walked around the boat super bored because no one was telling me what was going on by the watches. Not even Tom was talking. I wasn't sure if my watch was even broken or not.
The ship was dirty with a bunch of hammocks hanging about. I think the crew slept there because it smelled really bad. I liked the captains room better. It smelled nicer like flowers or perfume and it was a lot cleaner other then the blankets which I can only imagine it was that way because he was in a hurry.
They weren't allowing me in there though because they said that the other guy with the cheesy eyepatch could still be there.
I walked farther down the bottom of the ship, more pacing anymore, when there was a door at the back of the lower deck. It looked like the captains except a little less fancy and smaller.
I turned the knob and entered. It smelled as equally as bad as it did by the hammocks.
The room was very clean though. The bed was well made and the tiny desk standing with just four legs was very organized with the same yellow paper in one pile and ink container by a chipped mug with quills in it. The walls had a bunch of maps pinned with tacks. Each different map overlapping one or another. They were basically plastering the walls.
The ink was drawn in lines like a weird way to chart the sea. Not anyway that Jordan had told me.
Something was pulled under the maps. Another map but it was sewed on a tapestry. I tore all the maps down, rolling up the strong paper to make sure it didn't get damage. The tapestry was as long as the wall and all of the tacks made holes in the fabric at different land masses.

All off them were written in weird symbols, like there own sort of letters. I wasn't going to be able to read any of this, but maybe Jordan could. He was smart. Annoying, but smart.
I got the chair from the just four legged desk and pinned it by the wall. The chair balanced very well when I stood on it so getting the nails pried out of the wall was easy.
The tapestry fell on me when I took out the last nail.
I struggled in the darkness trying to get the tapestry off also trying not to breath through my nose because the whole place reeked of musk and seafood.
My fingers kept getting caught in the fabric holes and I wasn't getting anywhere. To make the situation wort I heard the door creak open.
I stopped struggling and stood still like a statue pleading that it was Tucker or Tom coming to find me. After u heard them clear there throat, a very deep sound I knew it was definitely not Tom nor Tucker.
"Get that bloody fabric off yew. It ain't e' cape".
The tapestry came off showing the eyepatch guy. He had a mean scowl on his face, but his eyes seemed friendly sorta like Tucker when he gets mad, it doesn't work.
I tried to put on my sweetest little girl smile. "Hello"
"Bloody-", he stopped himself from swearing. "It be a little girl".
"Why you talking like that". I couldn't help it. His grammar was awful.
He glanced at my hands, which were holding the map.
"Did you take those all of from dat wall"
I nodded my head yes.
"Give em' back to me", he held put his hand waiting for something to be put in them.
I thought about it to myself.
We need them to stay right. Just incase they are Ianites. Well they can't go anywhere without the maps.
I looked up at him. He seemed more upset.
"Sorry", I said sucking in my breath. I was going to need it for my major plan. "I kinda need theses".

I got Ianites sugar out of the tube that was placed on my quiver.
I have to be mentally ready for the change in time and movement.
I placed the glitter on the speed more.
I shrugged at the cheesy eyepatch guy. "Sorry 'boat it"
Time slowed to a stop. I could see the eyepatch guy trying to reach for me, it was like a video slowed down. It was awesome!
I'm going to have way to much fun with this.
I recollected all the maps and started walked by him out of the doorway. His hand not even reaching my direction.
The hammocks swung in beats. The sounds of the sails outside was more lengthy and separated. Even the creaking of the first stair wasn't over until I got to the last one.
It was really weird everything was calmer, quieter, smaller in a perspective. I kinda liked it here.
I stopped to look out at the deck forgetting the time hadn't stopped just slowed down.
The quietness and calmness stopped. The eyepatch had me by my legs. I grabbed onto the rail. My arms weren't moving.
"Give me back me maps and you can leave!"
I didn't say anything.
"Give them back now!"
I threw my one arm around the post and my other was clutching the maps. I closed me eyes and shrieked.
I didn't even grab a horse. Sonja had to lead the other one.
It was defiantly the captain. Hope was right about the looks. His hair was extremely long and it was easier to tell now that his hat was off. The face was still a mystery because he had a scarf covering his mouth and nose.
I felt like I was running laps again in gym class. It was never ending.
I had the captain cornered at Toms old house. Thankfully the bridge had fallen or he would have been able to run further.
We took out our swords almost simultaneously.
The captains sword was sharped inward at the end like a hook. It was almost like a cutlass.
Were they seriously pirates?!
The captain swung the cutlass first and I threw back catching the weapon before it could hurt me.
The cutlass slid up literally hooking my sword out of my hand.
He held my sword in his left hand, wrong mind you, and seemed very proud of himself.
He pointed the swords at me. "Move back".
I was cornered against the cliff side.
"Empty your pockets".
"I don't have anything"
"Empty them!"
I hurried. "Okay then"
The only thing I had in the right pocket was some chain and stones. Leftover from making the moars.
I checked the left coat pocket where I found the music box.
His voice strained to a higher pitch. "Did you steal that!"
"I'm about as confused as you", I stuttered, "If I would have stolen anything it would have been bolts"
The captain held both swords to my throat. "Your not helping your situation"
A glitter of metal flew my way knocking the swords out of the captains hands.
I caught the captain hands in the moment of shock and pinned him against the cliff side. His wrist were about as dainty as his true strength.
I could have guessed it was Sonja's knife before she walked over, the horses walking obediently behind her.
"You okay?" Sonja asked it sternly, sorta like protocol.
The captain struggled alittle.
"Yeah", I said back. "I'm fine"
I heard a shriek and a man yelling from a distance. By the time it was to us it was a echo.
The captain gasped. "Red"
I looked back at him from the direction.
"Let me go that was my brother!" He screamed. I could almost swear it was Sonja screaming.
Then I finally put the pieces together.
"Wait a moment"
I took the captains scarf off his face as he struggled away from my hand.
And my prediction was correct. The guy was a girl. My mental crisis was over.
"Your a girl!"
The captain needed me in the gut throwing me on the ground and running off once again.

A Crone's Trade
Latgalay lusts for beauty, power. When her tribe’s raid is repulsed, and when a wizard counter attacks, Latgalay seizes power. But there is a cost: her soul. Setting is in an alternate reality during the Roman incursion of Britania. Latgalay is from an embellished tribe of Picts, there are Spirits, Magic, and some pretty dark shit. I wrote this one back in 2015, when I was in a completely different headspace. Like, seriously. Dark. I've gone through and edited some of the worst of it out, but the tone is still there.

Small Pond
In a world without systems, levels, or any standard power levels, Faust is a naturally skeptical person who always asks questions first and accepts after he gets confirmation. A lot of it. With some information unknown to the reader, represented as [?], Faust is left to discover who kidnapped him, where he is, if magic exists, and what to do while the reader silently observes him. And as for the YOU dear reader, I'll need your help choosing some things... Small Pond isn't meant to be a high-paced action light novel, but instead, there's a greater focus on world and character building in order to create a greater narrative. Expect the unexpected in this story ;) The release schedule will be paused, for now, I'm going to try and spend some time rethinking the intro and work on school. The Czarina's Buccaneer
RELEASES EVERY MONDAY AT 18:30 CST ----- After suffering the torments of slavery, the destruction of his nation, and the massacre of his band of brothers, Rodion Kazansky craves revenge and yearns for the freedom owed to him as a proud Cossack. A lost horse and a chance meeting with the Catherine the Great set him off on a journey that will take him from the steppes of the Crimea to the beaches of the Gold Coast of Africa and back again. There he will face British slavers, pirates, and the ghosts of his past to become the bane of his enemies as the Czarina's Buccaneer. ----- DISCLAIMER: This novel acknowledges the fact that the Cossacks, and the Ukrainian people by extension, are unique and not simply a "different variety of Russians." The main character views the Russians as "moskal foreigners" and does not see himself as one. This also acknowledges the fact that the czarina deprived many of the Cossacks of their freedom, something that the main character resents.
