《Mianite: Unitended》Unsilenced

"So what your telling me is that these creatures attacked you". I tried to make sense of what team Mianite and Tom ran in to tell me.
"Yes and then we had to walk home", Tucker complained.
Tucker complaining and complaining. That's all he ever does. And Tom would wine and wine.
"The things came right after Tucker and Tom fought", said Sonja, the only person I was getting any valid information out of.
"Really", I asked, ignoring Tucker and Toms fighting and rambling that was going on in the back.
"Yeah", she paused thinking. I noticed she did that a lot. Me and Hope have decided to ourself that she stops to filter the words in her mouth to make them as polite as possible.
"And what about your horses? Did you find them", Hope chimed in.
"Yes actually we did", Sonja moved her gaze to Hope. "Right after we got on top of the sand dunes".
I pushed my glasses, stopping them from sliding off my nose. "And you said that these shadowy things completely moved a sand dune-"
"Leaving the ground completely to a thick slab of rock", she finished my sentence, answering that I was correct on that statement.
"What do these things want with us Jordan", I knew it was Hope speaking because she was the only one who didn't call me by my nick name that tom had dubbed me with.
I stood silently looking at her. She looked kinda worried and scared which I have never seen on her before.
"I don't think he knows Hope", Sonja spoke up. "We might need to ask the gods", she said politely and quietly.
"Oh", Hope went back to curious. "They should know right?"
I shrugged, "Probably"
"They have to", she reassured herself, "There gods".
"Can't deney that logic", Tom scrambled his way into the conversation, leaning on the lab table.

"We should ask the priest", I suggested, "Seeing that he's our safest bet getting to talk to the gods".
"Aight", Tom clapped his hands together, leaning up with his sore shoulder.
I can't believe in all the places and times, him and Tucker got in a fight in a desert.
They amaze me how they somehow found a way to work together.
I glared at Tom and he glared back at me. The Ianites and Sonja had us pretty divided most of the time.
I never thought that violence was always the answer, even though it was definitely an answer. I hate fighting at the wrong times. When it's just not helpful for the situation, the idea of fighting is worthless and a waste of time.
I was mad at myself. Sure you shouldn't push a Mianite and even if we were the ones who were fully against chaos. Me and Sonj always tried to show that, that even though we might not be out slaughtering people, we are still strong and grounded.
I always thought how Tom was dealing with it. He was still a Dianite, which made me think that he could brake at any moment and kill us off. Do Dianites dirty work for him.
Hope knocked on the priest door, which ironically used to be her door.
He opened the door not even taking a thought about Hope. He jotted his eyes directly to us, the adults.
"Yes", he asked in a tired and 'I'm sick of taking care of you all' voice.
"We need to ask about", Jordan took a vile of black goop out of his pocket, "This".
The priest looked happy now and proud. He couldn't help but smile as he let out, "Well done heroes".
"The shadows are....", Tom trailed off sounding frightened.

"They are something new", the priest rubbed his head, "Something more powerful then a god".
Sonja raised an eyebrow, "How does that work?"
"I said a god", the priest folded his hands together, "Didn't I".
"Which means?"
"The gods", he looks at me and Hope, "Including your lady Ianite, can't find a single way to work together".
I finally spoke up, "That surprises me"
"The essences of some way are better off working apart for the sake of everything, which is why the godless was such a bust"
"What does that have to do with us", Tucker snipped.
"Even though you are from different gods, all of you", the priest sighed, "well atleast three of you, work together very well".
"Which is new", I questioned trailing off my syllables.
He nodded his head yes, tirelessly.
"Though as far as I know", the priest continued, "You and Hope are the first Ianites here so"
The room got eerily quiet.everyone not knowing what to do, while the priest collected his thoughts.
"Well we need you to keep on normal schedule", the priest said, "Get the Wizards because unless we get you to the hands of fate, those shadows aren't going anywhere".
"The hands of fate", Tucker snipped again sarcastically.
"I only say what your God want me to say Mr. Boner", the priest went trough papers.
Tom stifled his laugh at Tucker's last name. With Tucker's name being Jericho Tucker Boner it doesn't shock me that he keeps to his middle name.
"I'm leaving". Tucker got up, hastily scooting the chair in and walked out the door with Sonja and the laughing Tom after him.
I got up grabbing Hope. Her eyes were wondering all over the place. I have a good thought that she wasn't paying attention.
She didn't move her feet, tripping when I tried to drag her by her hand. "Cmon Hope".
She looked up at the priest. His eyes moved from the book to hers. "Yes", he asked.
She looked up at the bookshelf a of the cathedral, "You should dust more".
A smile went on his face. He tried to keep it down, reading the scriptures. "Yes", he paused, "I should, shouldn't I".
I finally dragged her out of the cathedral, to the court yard.
I glared at her and she noticed fining me a straight face.
"Are you happy with yourself"
She nodded her head, "yep".

A New Life
Davin Benjamin was posed a question that no one ever hopes to face. To be able to live a life with full mobility, or to be able to see his family, at least for a significant portion of time. Follow his journey, and watch him overcome struggles that many would stumble at. I took the picture used as the cover, though it was edited with Befunky, not that I paid for anything.

Demons Don't Lie
Algier, average human and recent convict, has committed the gravest sin of all: demon slaying. His fate? To participate in the Culling, a battle-royale style tournament that’s televised live to the world, where all the worst criminals go to die. As with all tournaments, a prize is on the line. If Algier survives, he can have any wish granted by the Marquises, the new rulers of Earth following the demons’ invasion. However, there’s little hope for survival in a tournament designed to have demons do the work of the executioner, especially for a human. Demons are stronger, faster, wiser, and more talented than the average human, and, despite his crime, Algier is no demon hunter. Mentally defeated before the tournament even begins, Algier is torn between becoming another demon’s points and fighting on in his dead mother’s legacy. But should he choose to fight, there is one advantage that Algier has that can tip the odds in his favour: Demons don’t lie, but humans can. How to read this story Demons Don't Lie is written from the perspective of an unreliable (lying) narrator. There are many inconsistencies within the story which are placed there intentionally. It's up to the reader to decide what is the truth and what is the lie. Promotion Full quality cover image

Arching Choices
This is a story I used to do with people in an afterschool club, where I would make up a story, that the user/player would have options to choose from no matter how creative. There will be multiple polls, and I will read comments for the actions of the player, any one can play, because the charater will be gender neutral, but the choices will affect the story, whether it be your companions, and items you acquire. I'm a newbie writer but I just want to have some fun making a story. The chapters will be short so that the viewers can make choices. Longer chapters will be made once this has some good choice options. I thought it would be fun for the readers to develop the character's personality. Critisism welcome, because I have no idea how to write stories. P.S, Once the Character's personality is fleshed out the Synopsis will probably change

Taverns edge - A mercenary's guide to Ley Line traveling
The taverns edge is a fiction that centers around a pair of unusual friends. A mercenary that happens to be a princess of fae, but prefers to stay in a well-known établissement instead of staying in the Sidhe. Moira. Being half a dragon doesn't really help getting along with snobbish elitists at her mother's court. Like all sidhe she likes to strike a good deal... Which has led into many a disaster... Though she always tends to get by, especially when she gets home to the Tavern on the edge. The mentioned établissement is run by the formidable Barkeeper and jack of all trades Tora, who happens to have a very interesting past. Which involves more than one sinister secret... Now add to the mix a totally clueless elven girl - a mortal, not a fae- on the run. Lunara. She has unknowingly struck a deal with the devil - quite literally. Now unable to handle the consequences on her own she enters the tavern on the edge. An epicenter for magic and the only place where she might find help. She talks Moira into helping her out. A race against time begins as the deal's symbols appear on Lunara's skin. The journey leads to the dwarven empire, the sidhe and wherever the crossing leylines under the tavern may lead. This fiction belongs to the same universe as Ancient Blood. English is not my native language, so please don't be harsh. This story is an adaption of an idea, that we, a friend of mine and me, have developed over a few months while taking a break from learning. Some parts were written by Emberspark. Thank you for allowing me to work with your ideas and letting me publish this as a whole. Updates... I will try to frequently update both of my fictions... Well in case you are interested I post it on Scribble hub, too. I really don't steal from myself 😂
