《Mianite: Unitended》Unobtainable

The Dianites with the swords really couldn't make it out of the cave. The archers could though. They had thick leather coats on and were about as agile as Hope. They were everywhere. I ducked trying to dodge arrows while they were flying at me. They weren't as good as a shot as Hope.

I went down to the woods. I was sheltered by the pine trees. The archers had lost focus of me, but I was still being careful. I looked at the weather. It was apocalyptic. The only thing I could see outside was white and that was the old house on the mountain that used to be Tucker's. Sonja was not going to be making it through this snow.

I was about to turn on my watch when I realized Tom had it. I turned the horse around until I saw something to the left. It was glimmering under the pile of snow. I jumped off the horse. The snow kept on glimmering pink, magenta, and purple. The closer I started walking to it I could feel the ground shake. I started digging around in the snow trying not to freeze my hands off.

I got a hold of the thing. It felt warm. When I fished it out it was clean and clear. Wiping the snow off it with my shirt I realized that it was a orb and a silver chain. Inside it looked like tacky purple glitter you would get from a dollar store. It was rumbling in my hand. I went to call Tom, try to see if the mianite's were back.

I turned on the watch. My teeth were chattering. "Tom".

Static came through the watch. The snow must have been messing up the signal.

"Hey, Tom".

Something started to come through the static. "Tom". I could here a voice faintly. "Tom, your right this blizzard is awful".

The voice started to come through better. "Jordan".

It was Hope.

"Hope". I sighed out relief. "Tucker must have found the medicine, I need to know is Sonja-"

"They got into the bedroom, the Dianites got me".

I choked on my words. "What".

"Tom". She coughed a little. "He betrayed us".

"He did wha-"

She interrupted me again. "You need to go to the Modsteps, alone".

I didn't say anything. I kept on thinking with the static and Hope's heavy breathing in the background.

"Jordan".

"I'm coming". I stood up off the ground.

"Good". She talked through the watch while I got up on the horse. The static came through more, overpowering her voice.

I was not letting this go.

The snow had knocked me off my feet thousands of times, to the part where I was drenched and almost frozen to a ice cube. I could see Tom's house and Tucker's white horse blending in with the snow. I couldn't have been more relieved.

I walked into the bridge, shaded from the wind. Tucker ran out and helped me in as soon as my knees were about to lock up.

"Sonja what are you doing!"

"The storm was so bad", I coughed out. "I was worried".

He had me in a weird cradle. I wasn't helping with the walking thing. "Get in".

He lugged me inside and plopped me in front of Tom's fire, that was already blazing. I shivered as he put a blanket on me.

"I still am trying to find the medicine". He said starting to go down the basement.

I wanted to ask him where he had looked, but my teeth were clattering to hard.

He came back up from the basement and sat by me. He sighed. "Thanks".

I looked up at him. "For what".

He got a piece of kindle and started to poke the fire. "For dealing with me".

He was talking about the way he always leaves in hurry. It didn't bother me, even though he thought it did.

"I'm not mad at you". I said it in a small voice. "I'm never mad at you, I can't be".

He leaned on the wall and sighed louder. "I feel like I don't give you choices to make". He almost looked embarrassed. "I don't want you to feel like I'm the only place you can be happy".

I smiled. "Tucker".

He didn't answer.

"I wouldn't be with you if I wasn't happy". I paused. "Why would I give up something that makes me so happy, I can't find anything else that would equal to that happiness".

Tucker smiled a real smile. I haven't seen one in a while.

I heard some faint yelling outside. Tucker got up and ran over to Tom's door. He opened the door and led his horse in.

"What is it", I asked getting up.

"Dianites". He said it almost to a whisper.

The were all grouping on the bridge. Nadeshot in front of them. "What do we do", I asked.

He squinted his eyes at Nadeshot. "Go look for the medicine". He gave me a key. "That opens a safe where the medicine is".

I held the key. It was gold. "What about you".

"I have a plan". He was smiling. It was a smile that reminded me of Tom when he would pull his pranks.

I tied up the horse on a part of the Modsteps front porch. The Modsteps house was a old Victorian manchen with thousand of bay windows and stained glass windows. The roof was brown and the siding had a beautiful grey finishing on it. I can see why the old priest thought this would be a great place for Hope to be raised.

The door was white and scratch up. It was also unlocked. It screeched open. Rats running back and forth on the linoleum floor, the door startling them. The walls had a paisley pattern on them. Some of the wallpaper was shredded off. Birch wood lying under it. I brought out my sword. Time to test this baby out.

I turned on my glasses. The lenses of them turned into a touch pad. I opened the computer file. When I touched the folder the green rippled just like a raindrop on a puddle of water. When I got the folder to open, the twenty-four attachments for the sword I had made lined up. I hit the tenth one and the third one. Slid the attachments to the end of my lenses. I took my glasses off my face and put them by the sword.

I took a deep breath and slid the attachments onto the sword. It gleaned silver. I picked it up and it instantly felt lighter. That was attachment ten. I put it in my holster and walked to what looked like the living room.

The walls were a bluish grey with the same wood under the peeling paper. There was hard wood floor. It smelled like pine. There was area rug in the middle off the room with a flipped over table on it. Poker chips and cards were strewn everywhere. Chairs were toppled over leaving thick crevices in the wood flooring's thick polish. The fireplace still had burning coals in it.

Under the staircase there was a boarded up door that looked like it went into a broom closet. The door looked famillar. Under the door was a sliver of yellow light. I think I found where Hope was. I pried the boards off with the sword. The door creaked open louder than the front. White flakes of the paint fell off.

I slowly went down the stairs into the room that the Modsteps almost killed me in. It was completely dark in there, pitch black almost. I could here the wind coming through the door that Hope made Josh ram through. I saw were the yellow light was coming from. The entrance that the doctor and Hope came out of. The little girl.

I got out my sword and backed up on the brick wall. Just like Tucker had shown me. When I peaked into the room it looked just like the one I was standing in, but with dirty stone floor. There was cells lined together. Old rusty piping used as the bars. In the last cell I could see someone in there. No one was guarding the place, so I went for it.

I ran over to the cell and instead of seeing brown eyes looking up at me, I saw Tom.

I got some knives from Tom's make shift kitchen. I was going to cut the ropes to the bridge. It was the only way and I could probably get half of the most dangerous people of Mianite out of the picture. I do believe that Mianite is the best way, but no God is the good guy.

I kept in begging that Nadeshot would get off the bridge. For once I wanted him to be a coward.

I had known the Optics to well before the Mianite and Dianite war started. Then again there had always been a war against the gods. They always hated each other. Dianite had betrayed Mianite in some way, or many ways.

Hex hated Dainite and Nadeshot hated Mianite. They stayed godless.

I should've expected the Modsteps to do something to Hope. They needed money to breath. I just kept on telling myself that there was nothing the Modsteps could do. Just because I couldn't think of something doesn't mean nothing was happening.

"Tucker". It was Sonja. She had a vile of green chemicals in her hand. She put a syringe in her holster, right by her knives.

"Great". I was out of breath. I was still amazed that she came out to find me.

"So what are we doin-"

She shut her mouth quickly hinting me to do the same. I put my ear to Tom's front door. I could here Nadeshot outside. He was whispering to quietly for me to get anything out of it. I slowly got up, sliding my back on the wooden door. I turned around slowly and opened it.

Nadeshot was standing in front of me. His frost bitten face was frowning. Bloody lip and a black eye. He must have been in a fight. It could have been Jordan.

"I don't need your help". He brought out his sword. "And now I'm going to kill you".

I heard the bridge crack. I knew what was happening. I didn't even need to cut the ropes, the weather had done enough damage. The bridge cracked again. Everything went in slow motion. I grabbed the collar of Nadeshot's tee shirt.

He tumbled over me knocking so far as to the fireplace. I got up rubbing my head. Nadeshot was moaning on the floor. Sonja was looking out the door in horror. My horse nuzziling the back of her almost dry sweatshirt.

I turned around and saw Nadeshot. His sword had almost cut his whole arm off. I could faintly hear him sobbing in his own blood. I knelt down by him, Sonja grabbing some rags.

I pushed some of his hair out of his face. "You need our help Nadeshot", I whispered. "And that's alright".

"Tom!"

He got out of his slumped sitting spot.

"What are you doing here", I asked confused.

He ran over and held the rusty pipes. "Yo man, this is bad shit". He sounded terrified for once in his life. "This is shit I didn't even know abo-"

"Jordan"

Tom got interrupted. I turned around. I smiled looking at Hope.

Her hair was slicked down strait. She had her pink sweater off with the white under shirt now black. Her shorts had rips in them and her boot were black, not brown.

"Jordan stay back". Tom warned me.

"Wha". I turned around. Hope was smiling, her arms crossed.

She had a weapon in her hand. A sword, not a bow. I man came out of the entrance way and stood by her. He was the man that the Modsteps had sicked on me. Sheer white hair, with arched eyebrows. A Dianite if I have ever seen one before.

She uncrowded her arms. Her sword banging on her leg. "Me and Michael set out are differences".

He looked at her. It made me and Tom both uncomfortable. "I'm glad you've forgiven me".

She rolled her eyes and puffed out her cheeks. "Just get the Modsteps job done".

"Wait Hope".

She strode off into the entrance way without answering me.

The boy Michael walked over to me. I didn't move or try to defend myself. I just stood frozen. More frozen than outside. Hope was the traitor, not Tom. I looked up. Michael was looming in front of me. He held up his sword. "This will hurt".

I landed on the ground. The blow hadn't knocked me out. I could almost hear Hope in the entrance way. "You are so stupid", she sneered. Michael laughed revoltingly, sending the final blow.
