Claire POV

In the morning, all of the members of the island had planned to meet up for a party celebrating the gods, she even had her dress laid out on her bed.

Sonja had probably stopped by to drop it off when she left to find Ianite.

It was beautiful,it was a white dress with soft fabric on the inside but nice lace as decoration on the outside. along with the dress was a flower crown made of the huge bright red roses Sonja had been growing at home. Though the dress had long sleeves and was long enough she would probably need heels to keep it from dragging on the floor, the dress wasn't suited for the cold Mianite nights.

She had promised Dia she would go to sleep and wait to talk to Tom, but she just couldn't. Jordan knew that talk would never happen, she could tell when he lied. Maybe it was easier to lie to him because she had done it earlier that day, working behind his back to save her god.

As much as it would hurt him, she wasn't gonna let him tell her what to do.

Jordan switched out of her comfortable clothes and into the dress. She would probably barely make it in time for the celebration so it was best to dress for it just in case, Sonja would kill her if she didn't show with it.

One the dress was on and her short hair was lose with a flower crown fitted on her head, she grabbed the cape Tom have her and put a red and black cloak over it that was much more fitted for the cold.

Jordan braided stands of her hair to keep it away from her face, she then grabbed some riding gloves and a simple sword. Her black boots were fastened in place, covered by her dress, one they were on she told herself there was no going back.

"Im sorry Dianite" she whispered to herself

"Mianite" she said in her head

"What is it mortal, I told you I would work on finding Ianite's location"

"Actually, I need your help. I understand its difficult for you to teleport outside of the world communicator barrier, but I need you to meet me at the stables in a few minutes"

"What?"

"I have to go to a town outside the barrier but Dianite will try to stop me. So, if he were to find me getting away I need you to be around me to shift his teleportation until we are outside the barrier and it becomes more difficult for him" she said, her plan flashing in her mind

"You wish for me to ride a horse like a human and work as your Dianite deflector?"

"Yes. I have to leave now though, if I leave on horseback he won't have enough time to send for Tom to be moved somewhere else and he can't teleport there himself in time"

"Why should I?"the god asked

She hated gods sometimes, always asking for something.

We'll see to that on the way back. Once I get to the town you can teleport back to your..wherever it is you spend your time in and Tom can use your horse on the way back. Please"

"Very well, I'll be there. But whatever this trip is must be quick. The island will be receiving guests soon"

Without much time to think, Jordan rushed out her house for the second time that day and ran for the community stables chewing on Mianite's words on her way there.

Visitors? There wasn't time to ask, but if people were coming it must be the return of the Modesteps and Nade. Her focus was more on trying not to trip with the dress she wore, whoever the visitors were was a problem for tomorrow.

Once there, she found Mianite levitating a carrot in front of a horse, feeding him at a distance.

"Why are you so dressed up?" he asked "Not exactly ridding clothes"

"For your party tomorrow morning" she answered without much thought

"Well, you look lovely" he said quickly

"Um, thanks." she said as she made her way to her horse out of the stables. The horse was white along with dark spots and hair dark as night, Mianite's on the other hand was just white with fur just as fair.

Once the saddle was adjusted, she got on and Mianite mirrored her movements. He seemed uncomfortable riding the horse, as if he hadn't done that in a long time. Probably hadn't since he could fly and teleport.

Mianite pushed his doubt aside by the looks of it and got settled more comfortably in the horse.

"Lead the way Lady Jordan, if my brother shows up I will alter his teleportations"he said next to her " Though I must ask, how did you know I could do that"

"Dianite told me a story from when you were boys" she said, barely urging the horse to begin a quick pace when she heard a distant scream

"Jordan!" Dianite said in the distance

Mianite extended his hand towards his brother, preventing him from teleporting by the looks of it. Dianite was running closer, with a servant in tow.

"Jordan!!!!" he screamed in a pleading tone

She didn't wait for him to get any closer and pulled on the leather rails, the horse obediently began a quick pace, Mianite's following along next to hers

"Jordan!" she could hear Dianite scream

It must have looked awful, her running away with his brother...she didn't have time to cry or feel sorry, all that mattered was getting away.

Her cloak flapped behind her, making it harder to look back, but she noticed that Dianite had stopped running and stood a few feet behind them. She could see his sad expression clearly as he smashed the earth with his fists, falling on his knees.

Jordan didnt look back after that, she just rode away faster and faster until they crossed the divide of the world communicator by the dessert. By then she looked at Mianite, he stared at her as well, assessing the tears threatening to fall.

She pushed them aside and looked away from him, quickening their pace instead of facing Mianite's concerns.

Jordan loved Dianite, but going after Tom and talking to him was what was best for them both, though it must have looked awful, it was the right choice.

"He thinks we ran away together"Mianite said after a few minutes of silence "Or that you and Tom are a thing"

"Really?"

"Those were the last things he screamed in my head. He thinks I stole your heart" the god said

"The only heart that will be stolen is Ianite's when we get back. I love Dianite, but he is keeping things from me and I have to do the right thing"Jordan said as they rode away, deeper into the dessert

"Im sorry" was all she could think as the silence of the dessert surrounded her.
