Claire POV-

Many hours later she had arrived to the coordinates, exhausted she threw herself on the grass and let out a victory cry.

She got a good look at herself and laughed, whipping sand and leaves off her clothes in a feeble attempt to make herself seem like less of a reck.

Her clothes were soaked from the sea trip, the rowing had not only killed her arms but soaked every part of her outfit, leaving her shivering on the grass. Jordan had never been on the ocean for such a long distance, how people could compete in the olympics with such a tedious and exhausting task as rowing she could never tell.

Not only was the ocean an experience, but her horse had been particularly stubborn, making the land part of the trip a menace. It was Tom's, which made sense....

"At least I made it in one piece" she whispered to herself

Jordan wasn't even sure her god would be here, things were different from the streams from what she had...experienced.. .so there was a slight chance she was steps away from saving her god before she was supposed to.

That was enough to get her on her feet once again, ignoring her wobbling legs and throbbing arms.

Just a few more steps...

As she walked past the beach she had arrived to, the forest began to form with large trees, bigger than she was accustomed to. They formed shadows on the ground big enough to block the sun, making it hard to walk without tripping.

As she tried her best to dry her clothes while making sure not to trip and fall on her face, Jordan thought about what saving her god could mean.

If she showed up back to the island with him, Dianite would surely be upset. He was strong enough to teleport him back to another cage, Jordan would be able to stop him if he did.

Thats were she would have to count on Mianite's powers to protect her god where she couldn't. That was, if he was stronger than the old of the nether.

There was also the fact that she didn't know what kind of state he was in, if he was too weak, getting back would be an issue. Camping on that island till he recovered would be the smart thing to do, but being away from home so long could cause problems.

Could she even stay with Ianite for days until he recovered? They had talked in her dreams but never in real life, what if it was different? He could alter things in dreams, what kind of stuff about himself did he change or leave aside?

"Ughhhhhh!" She screamed in annoyance at her old habit. Overthinking things and getting ahead of herself was something she had been doing since she was child, caused much stress then and now.

As she maneuvered through the trunks of the trees that were surely higher than any building back home, she found herself at the exact coordinates.

Her compass must be broken. There was nothing there, just a small clearing with nothing but grass

"You've got to be kidding me!!!" She screamed

As she was about to slump on the grass in defeat she noticed something peculiar. The area was shaded, but there were no trees in the clearing to cause the shadow.

Jordan looked up slowly, as her gaze reached the sky she saw a levitating bock almost as high as the trees would go.

He was up there...

Jordan quickly ran over to the coset tree and climbed as fast as her little legs could carry her, never daring to look down. Heights weren't exactly enjoyable, but it was the only way she could hope to make it to him.

"One wrong step and you go splat on the ground Claire, focus"she coached herself to get her mind off the heights, but the fear remained

10 feet, 20, 30 ,80....the higher she climbed the more she realized there was no going back.

When she reached the top of the tree, balancing her feet on two separate branches to rest she looked down to where she had started. To lessen her weight, she left her bag and some weapons down next to the tree.

"Lets hope there aren't any deadly monsters up here or I just screwed myself over" She whispered

Though she was about 500 feet off the ground, the trees weren't big enough to reach the floating square. The highest branch was a few feet under the edge of the square.

She would have to jump and hope her upper body strength could pull her up.

Still, it wasn't as if the square was right above the brach, at least then she would be safe if she fell. Nope, the square was further to the right, she would have to jump sideways and hang in midair with nothing underneath to catch her.

She almost didn't do it, resigning herself to go back down and cry. She would take any monster compared to that.

After a few minutes of trying not to break down in fear, she set the rest of her weapons in between the branches, leaving her with just a small strength potion. The cape would stay on, It wasn't much weight and if she fell, she wanted to die with it.

Now it was all a matter of a logical choice, she had a strength potion she could take to guarantee her ability to push herself up, it would only last a few seconds though, so if there was security up there, she wouldn't be able to fight with it and without her weapons she was destined to fail.

That or she could take what the others called a feather falling potion so that if her upper body failed her she would most likely not die as long as she landed on her feet, but she didn't know how long the fall was and the potion would only last a few seconds. Not only that, but she was saving it for the way back down, using it then meant going back down would be a challenge.

Strength it is...

She took the small potion in one gulp and quickly made her way over to the edge, she only had a few seconds, if she missed the edge the strength wouldn't be of much use so Jordan had to use all her focus.

Jordan took the leap of faith and managed to feel a concrete edge before she opened her eyes. Without hesitation, Jordan pulled herself up in one swift movement and rolled herself away from the edge.

Nothing had attacked her, that was a good sign.

When she opened her eyes again she saw the platform was rather simple, no guards, just a giant iron cell with thick bars.

There was a chest to the her left, but it was empty...

Jordan walked over to the cell, there was a bed and nothing else, the sheets ruffled showing signs that someone had at least been there.

She to the other side of the cell to see who was sleeping there and found the door to be open. With a gasp she ran inside and tore the covers away from the bed.

There were blankets positioned as if to fake the presence of someone sleeping there and a note.

After looking around for a bit, searching for sings of movement she resigned to reach for the letter, afraid it was from her boyfriend, reading something along the lines of "Found out you were on your way so I moved him. Get reked and see you at dinner today".

Instead the letter wasn't as fancy as what a god would leave behind, the writing was neat, but the writing utensil was clearly not the best.

To whom this may concern,

After 3 weeks of imprisonment I managed to gain enough strength to escape. If this is Dianite, I hope you don't burn the forest down with your temper brother, the trees are as old as ourselves. If this is just a random stranger, then you need not concern yourself with this stance structure, it no longer holds purpose. If this is Jordan, then I expect nothing less. I am incredibly humbled you found your way over to me and couldn't be prouder. Unfortunately staying here isn't an option, Dianite could return any day. I will make sure to try my best to contact you but I will have to retreat to a place where my brother cant reach me until I gain strength. Though I escaped, Dianite is no fool, he holds my heart, diminishing my strength and abilities substantially. Getting it back could make me strong enough to stay and bring balance as best I can without Dianite being strong enough to lock me up again. I hold that fait in your hands, my heart couldn't be in better hands than yours. Regardless, I will try my hardest in order to see you as soon as possible.

Lord Ianite

She could feel her feet giving out. As she sat down on the bed she held the letter tight. He had written it himself right were she was standing, he was alive and by the looks of it on the run.

Looked like he was able to save himself, maybe being far from the nether had given him the chance to escape. Dia had underestimated his abilities.

She searched the letter for sings as to where he had gone to but a voice in her head already knew the answer. Ianarea....

But Jordan didn't know how to get there, and she didn't remember how they had gotten there in the show. It was all so fuzzy, all she remembered was that there was a castle and then they all jumped through a portal.

A small voice told her that she had made that huge trip there for nothing, but she knew better than to think like that. She knew that Ianite was ok, he was somewhere safe, and she knew what she had to do to help him.

With a smile she tucked the note safely on a pocket inside her jacket close to her heart and jumped down to the branches were her stuff was.

"I'll see you soon my lord" she whispered before heading back down and on her way back home.

All of the sudden, she wasn't concerned with the heigh as much...all the mattered was that her lord was safe and away from her boyfriend's grasp.
