Claire POV-

The birds chirped outside her window and sun rays found their way inside her bedroom indicating it was time to wake up.

She reached out for her other pillow to cover her face and ears with it, in a feeble attempt to block out the noise. It was early, much too early for her to muster the energy to get up and start the day.

Her watch read 7:00am, how cruel.

Since she was living in Jerry's tree now, her window was more like a hole with no glass, a simple walkway to her balcony looking out into the world, 100 feet above the ground. That made it easy for a bird to fly inside and sit on her bed stand chirping away.

After a few seconds of trying to ignore it, she got up from bed and waved the bird away the way it came. Reluctantly the bird did as she commanded probably pleased she had woken up.

"Bye little bird, thanks for waking me up so early" she snarled as it flew away

Jordan took a deep breath and began to get dressed, she put on some tight leather pants and a white long sleeved shirt with her black jacket over it. Her cape rested on a chair nearby, she quickly fastened it around her neck and put on her long black boots.

Her god jewelry went on next along with her weapon's belt were she hung her sword and kept some small potions inside its small pockets.

Jordan combed her short brown hair and fastened it into a simple ponytail before splashing her face with some water dripping on the leaves outside her balcony. It had rained that night.

She quickly walked to the elevator and headed downstairs for some food, as she did, a familiar voice rang in her head.

"Good morning guys!" Said Sonja

"Good morning" Jordan replied

One she made it to her desired floor, she stepped out and made her way over to the chests lined with food in her makeshift kitchen.

Her breakfast was simple, just milk and bread, nothing fancy but tasty nonetheless.

She grabbed some food and sat down on her empty dinning table, big enough for a feast. But now it was empty, it was just her.

As she heard her friends talk in her head, she stared out into another balcony hear her table looking at the bright sky recover from last nights storm. At least the rain had brought the sweet smell of rain along to fill her home with.

Nothing was more peaceful than that, it reminded her of winter at home.

It was so mesmerizing that she nearly failed to see the letter next to her plate. Odd, she hadn't left anything there.

After a second of hesitation, she opened the light blue envelope with her nails. Inside was a small piece of paper with ink bleeding through, tracing perfect penmanship.

Dear Jordan,

I know you must have a very busy day as you almost always do, specially since I heard you are helping with the construction of some battle arenas, but I found some information that I believe you may like to hear. I believe I have found Ianite. Only problem is, I cant go to him. Dianite will sense my power nearing Ianite and will move him before I even arrive. Being his champion I though you would like the honor of going after him, also, there is no one else in this world I trust more with this delicate mission that you. To insure your success, I will keep Dianite busy for the day, but soon he may grow suspicious so you must hurry. He may also send others after you if he notices your absence which is why I suggest you leave as early as you can, not telling a soul, even my champions. I know not what state my brother will be in and what obstacles you may find guarding him..I wish you luck. I understand that this may be difficult based on your relationship to Dianite, but I fear of what the world would be like without Ianite for much longer.

Best of luck,

Lord Mianite, ruler of the overworld of Mianite

Well, so much for peace and quiet, she had to hurry of she was gonna succeed. She stuffed the last bit of bread in her mouth and hurried to the elevator. Once at the bottom floor she ran to the wall next to the door and chose her best weapons and grabbed her backpack with some potions.

Jordan glanced at the coordinates at the back of the letter...hmmm she would have to travel by boat for most of it, but it would be a bit of land to cover as well. It was far away, maybe too far for her to go unnoticed. She would even have to worry about making a boat to use, but that was the easy part, there was bound to be wood around.

No time for doubts...

She ran to the stables and picked the fastest horse she could find and headed outside the safety of the world communicator area. Jordan hadn't been able to leave it very often, but the last time she did, she died...

As she guided the horse and willed it to go faster she found herself thinking of all that could go wrong.

What if Dia found out? He would most likely not hate her since he knew where she stood, but he wouldn't be happy. What if there was a monster guarding her god that she couldn't beat, she could die. What if he didn't want to see her, or what if she got there to late?

Tears pricked down her face but she shoved them aside, now was no time for weakness. She needed all her strength and focus if she was gonna save her god.

She told her friends an easy lie as to her absence and then shut them out completely, they would only give her more reasons to worry at a time like that. Jordan took a deep breath and made the horse quicken its pace, there was no time to waste.

She had to show him she could save him, specially since he had gone through hell lately...now it was her turn to show Ianite that she could be just as strong as he was.
