《The Spark of Balance: The Realm of Mianite (Book 1)》Ch58- Apologies?

Claire POV-
Pain.
That's all there was when she tried to open her eyes. It felt like an elephant had been sitting on her stomach and her leg was throbbing with pain.
Jordan felt some cool air rush though her and recognized the familiar scent right away.
Old books.
It's what the priest's house smelled like.
Is that what death smelled like?
When she opened her eyes she saw many shadows around her blocking the little light in the distance. Though she couldn't quite make them all out just yet she recognized the one closest to her peripheral vision.
Tom.
"Who was dancing on my kidneys?" Jordan joked, though her voice was weak and talking hurt like hell.
Even breathing hurt! But as her eyes focused she saw Tom's face clearly, he had been crying a lot, now he just seemed happy.
"Didn't I tell you not to scare me like that ever again mate? Maybe I should have had you sign a contract" He said laughing and crying at the same time
She could hear the faint laughter of the others around her, it was weak, but then again they all seemed to be crying.
"What happened? Am I dead? Because if so, why aren't I having tea with The Beatles?" Jordan said in pain
She felt Tom's hand on her forehead, he was combing though her hair as he did many times before but now she could feel his hand shaking like crazy.
"You were, but Champwan managed to buy you a little more time" said Tucker
He had? She looked for him desperately, he was on the other side of the bed by her feet. She looked at him as he made his way next to her pushing past Tucker who went on to hug Sonja.
"You are absolutely crazy you know" Champwan said, holding on to her left hand.
"Are...are the wizards ok?" She asked nervously
What if Dianite had killed them? She could never forgive herself if they were, but she had to know.
"They are fine. They are downstairs making potions that may help you out" he responded
Jordan finally relaxed, they were ok.
"And Dianite?" She asked

Champwan and the rest looked at eachother nervously, clearly after having a private conversation in their heads they nodded in agreement. Champwan, Sonja and Tucker stepped aside to reveal Dianite by the door. He was standing near the door frame with arms crossed and no clear emotion on his face.
When she saw him, a bit of fear returned to her.
"Let me speak to him alone" Jordan managed to say
"Jordan, don't" said Tom grabbing on to her other hand
"Please"
With that they all made their way out the door quietly, Tom looking back before Dinate closed the door.
"You stabbed me, you must be feeling great. Congrats, you almost killed an Ianitee. Bet the satisfaction of killing someone was trilling for you, sorry to ruin your victory dance" Jordan said in the most serious tone she had ever heard herself speak
"You got in the way" he said
"You lost it! Dianite, you were gonna kill them because of your beauty insecurities. You're an idiot if you thought I'd stand by and watch" she answered
"You don't know what their kind did!" He screamed
The return of the anger in his eyes scared her. Last time she saw that, she died for real. She wasn't used to it, he hadn't been like that to her before. She even though that she had misjudged him based on what she saw on Miante.
That maybe he wasn't a bad guy...
"You're a monster Dianite and not for the reasons that you think. I know about the spell. There is something you seem to forget, it's supposed to show how you are on the inside. Your looks aren't what made you a monster, it was your personality that did" she said stopping to calm the pain
"You need to stop acting like a victim, many have suffered at the hands of your insecurities, specially the wizards and Ianite. You know, I never once cared or even noticed you looks, when you started being somewhat nice I though we could be friends" she said
"Your lying!" He said, getting closer to her
In that moment, fear swept though her uncontrollably. When he reached her bedside she couldn't help but flinch. Memories of what had happened rushed though her mind, she could only see the god of the nether.

He clary noticed because he stopped on his tracks backed away a bit.
"I didn't mean to stab you, you know that don't you?" He said
"But you meant to stab someone. You're no saint in this situation Dianite, you wanted to kill, this was just collateral damage to your decision" Jordan said
"I will no longer attempt to harm the wizards, as a way to make up for your condition" he said
Though her body hurt like hell, her arms were still mobile. Pushing aside the fear she grabbed on to his collar and pulled him closer.
"You better. I don't hold grudges, that doesn't mean I'm not traumatized by you though. We can just continue life as it was, I won't hold this against you, unlike you I'm not filled with vengeance" Jordan said
"I for one will stay away for a while. You are right, I'm not a noble man, and I will continue to stay that way. A war is still on its way, maybe by then I can convince you to join my side perhaps" he whispered
"Not a chance. Though I agree you should stay away for a while, until we can become friendly enemies again" Jordan said " but I do need you to do something for me, it's not much"
He stared at her curiously
"What might that be?" He asked
"Tell Ianite I'm alive, I know you won't do much else" Jordan said
A few seconds passed before he nodded his head in agreement. Jordan let go him assuming he would go away, but he caught her off guard.
He leaned closer and kissed her! Like, an actual kiss! It happened so fast there was nothing she could do.
The only thing she felt was fear, looking into his eyes would never be the same again, fear will always be there no matter what.
Still, she was paralyzed with shock. Jordan didn't know what to say or have the strength to be mad.
"You won't have to worry about him much longer, you will be on my team remember?" He said totally dismissing what he had just done
She knew overreacting would be useless, plus it would hurt to much given her current injuries
Instead of screaming she just calmly asked " Thought god's didnt feel things for anyone"
When he didn't answer she tried to laugh but it was too painful
" You know, a kiss doesn't mean anything to me. They are harmless really. What did it mean to you though?" She asked
He leaned closer to the position he was in before, only this time he was centimeters from her face.
"Nothing. Guess it's so harmless for both of us we should do it more often" he said
Wow. Had the god of all evil just said that?
"Not willingly" she replied as he suddenly kissed her again
But at that point Jordan was just confused. Nothing was going the way it was supposed to, she had died at the hands of Dianite and he had kissed her shortly after. Twice!!!!
The wold of Miante literally made no sense to her at that point.
"You will join my side" he said
Guess he was still on that, but his face showed nothing but an evil smile. Whatever game he was playing, he sure was enjoying it.
"Go. I want to talk to my friends. And just so you know, it's incredibly impolite to kiss people without consent" Jordan said wanting to prevent another kiss
"Guess that's why they call me the god of evil then. Till next time Jordan" Dianite said as he teleported away
Jordan wanted to call her friends over and forget what had just happened, but she ended up passing out. All that talking had made her really tired.
Still, two things were for certain. The wizards were ok and would maybe stay and help them build, and she was once again terrified of Dianite. Just how things should be according to the streams she saw.
Still, could she tell anyone what had just happened? Maybe they would think she lied.
At least she lived to tell the tale.
*****
This will all make sense plot wise and tie to the streams I promise. May seem out of place but it isn't. Enjoy th theorizing. Muahaha. Feel free to leave a comment and as always thanks for reading.
Love,

Diary Number 999, year I-don't-care, location home. Parenting. Of all I've found clear answers except for this most mundane topic. And not for the lack of trying. My library, so humongous my good friends told me one after the other there is no book it doesn't contain helped little. There are crumbling tomes of ancient magic, vocabularies depicting the evolution of the magical language itself, grimoires and holy bibles of cults long past, rows and rows filled with scrolls bearing the efforts of my magical research, contracts, diaries, letters and more. But parenting? There was none. Yet a struggle nearly every member of the Races is not foreign to. I...must have lived under a rock. Across aeons no less. What a humbling revelation.
