《The Spark of Balance: The Realm of Mianite (Book 1)》Ch56- Nooooooo!

Champwan POV-
"Nooooooooooooooo! Jordan please wake up! Common!" Champwan screamed.
He held her in his arms trying to keep pressure in the wound but there was no use, she was bleeding out and fast.
Her body had gone into shock and she was unconscious, he had never felt so helpless in his life.
Jordan was his only friend ever, the girl that had brought out the best in him like she had in the others. She had never judged him or ignored him, she was there for him. Jordan couldn't die! He wouldn't let it happen.
"We need to get her medical help, our magic can't do much in this case" said one of the wizards, he didn't know which since he didn't even want to take his eyes off of her.
Then he felt her heart stop.
"Nooooo!" He screamed
His father had taught him cpr when he was a boy. He had never been too confident on magic, much like Jordan actually. It's a good thing he payed attention as a boy because that was her only chance now.
He tried to help restart her heart, steady rhythm, but her heart would start. Champwan filled her lungs with air and tried again and again. By the third try her slow steady beat was back!
All Champwan wanted to do at that point was collapse and slow down his own heartbeat but he knew hers would give up again if he didn't do something.
"There is no protective barrier here! If she dies here, she's done for good. We need to get her though that portal now" Champwan screamed at them
"I'll carry her" he added, but when he did her body shook and she uncontrollably screamed in pain while she was still unconscious.
"Ok new plan, everyone take a side and Wag, take the middle, we'll all carry her. Keep her in this position we don't want to cause any more bleeding than there already is" he instructed

As they all carried her Champwan noticed Dianite stood like a statue in shock.
He had done it, how could he just stand there!
"Dianite go through before us and get help! We have to take her slowly!" Champwan said
When Dinate didn't move, he kicked a rock at him, that took him out of his thoughts at the very least.
"Go!!!" They all screamed at him
Without a secon though Diante went though, hopefully we would be of use. Jordan's life depended on them not making any mistakes at that point.
As he slowly carried her over to the portal, he processed some things...
She risked her life for the wizards without a second though, even though she barely knows them. Jordan wasn't even of this world and she was going around helping its inhabitants like it was nothing.
Jordan had dealt with the shadows, brought out the best side of Tom and Dinate, and gave Ianite the hope he so desperate needed. All of that, and this had been her reward!
Images of his father popped into his head. All the blood. The screams and anger.
No. That wouldn't end the same way.
This time he had a chance to save her, he was no medic but he knew in his heart that she was strong enough to live.
The coldness of the portal brought him back to reality. They popped up in the dessert, their homes were barely visible in the distance, and Diante was no where to be seen.
"Let's make our way over, we can't wait around for him" Champwan instructed as the others followed reluctantly
They had walked two steps when Dianite teleported next to them.
"They were all informed and are getting some healing supplies ready at the priest's house" Dianite said coldly
"We'll never make it in time and we both know you can't teleport us all at the same time! If we move her though she could die!" He screamed in desperation

"That's why I'm here" said Miante behind them
As surprised as Champwan was, there was no time to lose. He nodded in agreement and stood still as both the gods gathered their magic and held on to them.
The teleportation had been successfully but the gods were collapsed on the floor. It had taken great power to teleport them all at once.
Regardless, they would be fine. Right now they had to get her over to the next room where Champwan heard many voices coming from.
When they walked in they saw a bed was readied, so they made their best attempt so set her down. Once she was in place, the priest began to work.
The other three champions were there helping as much as they could, following the commands of the priest as best they could in the panic. Sonja couldn't even look at Jordan, so she got all the supplies the priest demanded.
Tucker was right by the priest side, though worry filled his eyes, he stayed strong and focused on the work in hand.
Tom was a mess...
Champwan could see many tears falling one after the other uncontrollably as he tried to help out.
He was having a hard time breathing after a minute or two so Champwan pulled him aside.
"Tom you need to focus! She will die if you don't!" He screamed at Tom, grabbing on to his shoulders to keep him from shaking.
"What the hell happened! Your gonna tell me right now!" He screamed in between tears "who did this!"
"Not now Tom! Common, let's help out, just stay strong for a bit while we save her! If you trully love her you'll be able to!" He screamed back at Tom
They both mad their way to the table and listened to the situation
"She died there and you brought her back, since the magic of the protection doesnt work there she didn't spawn away. You brough her here alive" the priest said " if she dies now, she'll spawn back were you came from assuming she slept there"
"Yeah, she was unconscious at the wizards castle, it's too far from the portal though" Champwan said worried
"Then we can't let her die, she will spawn there and die instantly with these wounds. Problem is, healing potions will take too long to work in this case, well have to do most of this manually till the potions kick in" the priest said as he grabbed on to some old medical equipment
He recognized the box everything was in. It was his father's medical tools....
"Luckily I got some training from your father. Now everyone do as I say, this has to be quick and precise. Sonja, we need you help!" The priest screamed
Though Sonja looked devistated she rushed to her best friends side without a second thought.
As the operation began he saw the gods standing outside the room. Diante was beyond worried but trying to hide it as he had seen him do many times. Miante was outright sad, specially since he probably knew there was nothing they could do.
Their magic wasn't made for medical uses, there was nothing they could do.
Sill, he felt no pity for Diante. His loss of control could cost Jordan her life, and he knew it by the looks of it.
"Don't worry Sparkles, you're gonna be just fine. Please, just hang in there for me" Tom whispered to Jordan's ear next to Champwan
He wanted to help Tom, but the operation would need all their focus. Though he was still as hopeful as Tom, things weren't looking so good.
Those injuries would be incredibly hard to deal with...

Obligate of a Self-Ordained Sorcerer
Come join the Discord! It was a typical late-night friday for Mara, secluded in her apartment in front of a digital expanse, relentlessly mashing code into a keyboard. An introverted workaholic, but this was what she wanted - what she had strived so hard to achieve. So why did she feel so lost? Her life was productive, comfortable, satisfying. Plenty had it worse but she still felt... ungrateful? Stunted? The right word escaped her, but she could feel the general revelation settling upon her. With it came a choice that would set events in motion far beyond the meager scope of a 'New Game+'. So taking an intrusive portal to god-knows-where, Mara will come to find that her new world offers boons and banes with equal abandon. Magic, skills, and unforgiving difficulty. For a frail human shut-in, finding herself stranded in the middle of a sprawling dungeon was one of the least desirable outcomes. Food and water would be the least of her problems, why oh why couldn't she just get summoned by some pervy king to slay a demon army or something? This is a story of magic and adventure with skills and stats galore. A litrpg / isekai epic that I've been inspired to make after years of wonderful works like "So I'm a Spider," "Rimuru the Slime," "Azarinth Healer," "Negima!?," and plethora of other isekai and fantasy novels and animes. Special shout-out to Douglas Adams, a big influence on narative humor that's had a non-insignificant effect on my writing style. I hope you enjoy joining Mara on her journey as I attempt to scratch the itch they left behind.Chapters target 3-6k~ words. Though I'm personally aiming for a chapter every couple weeks, I think I can at least promise one a month with how busy work's been. I made a Patreon due to requests, if you'd like to support me there I'll be using it to fund artwork and RR ads for increased exposure.
