《The Spark of Balance: The Realm of Mianite (Book 1)》Ch54- Talks with the wizards

Claire POV-
"You know, trying to bring peace with the wizards hasn't been attempted by anyone for years. Mostly because everyone though wizards were extinct of course, but it was a bold move on your part" Champwan said
They had been walking for hours though a forest that was so dense she couldn't even see the sky. Two of the wizards lead the way while the other two trailed behind Champwan and herself.
It had been a fairly quiet walk up until an hour ago when Jordan tripped over a branch and they all had a good laugh. Ever since then, they all had their private chatter.
Jordan wanted to talk to the wizards but they seemed rather busy with their own conversations. She felt bad that they all had to walk since the two of them could fly and they didn't have to power to teleport them such long distances.
Champwan didn't seem to mind much, he was slowly getting out of his shell, creating small talk and stuff. She couldn't be prouder.
"It was the right thing to do, they are just victims after all. I think we would all benefit of each other's company" she replied
"What about Dianite?" He asked
"Well, what about him?"
"He hates wizards. It was estimated that his people were responsible for most of the wizard killings. Aren't you worried he may not like the agreement?"
"If he doesn't then he will have to deal with it, I'm not gonna let him hurt them. If he wants to kill them he'll have to go through me" Jordan answered
Another big gust of wind hit them all by surprise.
The wizards had their heavy cloathing so they weren't bothered, Jordan on the other hand was freezing. She was just too proud to admit it.
She only had her black tank top on because of the construction she was working on, than and her cape weren't enough to keep her warm under those conditions... it must have been 50 degrees outside!
Though the Miante weather was incredibly likable and steady the night could get chilly of you weren't prepared.
Champwan clearly noticed her shivering when the next gush wind arrived and slowed her down.
"You know, you're not exactly dressed for the occasion" he joked
Champwan grabbed his big cloak and put in on her, he even adjusted the hood to keep her ears warm. She wasn't as keen on fashion as Sonja was, but the cloak was beautiful, like something from a movie. It was a dark blue color with luminescent designs, it was also a bit large to the point that Jordan was sightly dragging a bit on the floor.

But it was very warm, so who cared?
"Aren't you gonna be cold though?" Jordan asked concerned
"Not really, I for one have two long sleeves on" he pointed out
"Haha, next time I'll wear an outlfit suited for kidnsppings so I don't have to bother you" Jordan joked
"It's no bother at all, besides, your skin was turning blue" he joked once more
When Jordan checked, it had been turning a bit pale... wow.
Jordan gave him a big hug as a thank you and began catching up to her previous pace.
"Are you sure both of you aren't dating?" Asked one of the wizards behind them, she believed it was the wizard named Tom. (Not to be confused with her Tom)
"Tom! You can't just say stuff like that" said Waglington behind her
"Anyways... how much longer does the forest run for? I've never been here in my life, this must be very far away fom home" Champwan said
"Just a few more minutes then we will reach a portal that will bring us closer to you home world." Said Matthew
"You use portals within the overworld?" Jordan asked
"Its ancient magic from another world. Our parents made the portal to allow us to travel from one side of the earth to the other" Matthew replied
To keep them safe.
Wow their parents had worked wonders to help their kids.
"I may have to look into that, its severely cool! The physics of this place must be way ahead of my time" Jordan said
"Don't know what that means but ok" said Waglington
They walked for a few more minutes in silence. After a while she saw the cold was getting to Champwan so she decided to share to cloak with him, but they had to stay really close together, that mean waking was harder.
As she focused on not tripping over anything a though crossed her mind
"Why did you capture us in the first place?" Jordan asked
"We wanted to see who he..I mean, who the person from the sky was. Though maybe you would be a danger to us, we didnt even know humanity was as extinct as we were" Phil explained
"The war did take its toll" said Champwan
"What about the gods? How have they been" asked Waglington
"Well...Dianite is slowly overruling Miante, he's become more powerful than before" Champwan replied
"Ianite was captured by him. Oh and I kinda killed the shadows...wait..wasn't he your father? Oh my god I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to to be insensitive" Jordan said

She stopped dead on her tracks and looked at all the wizards with pain. The world had taken so much from them and in a way that hadn't been to hard on her since she wasn't a part of it. But she had taken something from them, the last bit of family they had...
"Don't even worry about it. We hated the guy. He was the one who personally killed our mothers and destroyed our hometown so....in a way, we owe you" said Tom
"Hold on, you killed a god? How could you....but that's impossible!" Phil said as he made his way over to her
He grabbed her cheeks and mushed her face like her sister used to do.
"She is one of a kind" Champwan said
" I just got lucky, it's no big deal. Plus I don't enjoy lingering on the thought that I actually killed a living thing" Jordan answered
The group snapped out of it and began walking like before, both groups of wizards continuing their talks, which were now about her from what she could hear.
"You know all three gods want you on third team to some extent right?" Champwan said out of the blue
It took her a while to process that information
"I already chose my god" she said
"Mianitees will be very impressed about what you've done with the wizards he may just step up his bargain. Diante on the other hand won't be so happy, this is personal after all" he said
"Personal? Well, aren't they like halo brothers with the gods?" She asked
"No. Since they are of different species they share no bloodline. What I meant was that a wizard pissed off Dinate long ago"
"How exactly?"
"Well, Diante looks different than his brothers for a reason. Actually, your the firstperson to never question his appearance at first glance. All the other brought it up first thing" he said
It hadn't occurred to her that she had never questioned him about it. She just assumed that how he was being the god of evil and all. Plus Mianite had prepared her for that, even in his Minecraft version he was still red.
"Was I supposed to?"
"Maybe that's why he cares for you so much, you don't stare in disgust or judge his looks, at least that how he put it"
"So a wizard did that" she asked
"Yeah, it was a spell to refect his outside looks with his inside personality. A little cruel of you ask me, but Dianite deserved it"
"Did he burn the wizard's home or something?" Jordan asked
"Haha no, wizards who marry other wizards have wizard children, that's why there were so many, it's not like the shadows was personally responsible for all of them separately. But the wizards from direct gods are stronger, those were the ones Diante focused on. He saw them as a danger to gods. When he found that particular wizard, well...things didn't so as planned"
"Did he end up killing the wizard?" Jordan said hugging the cloak and her new friend for comfort
"Yeah, but he didn't go down without a fight, he wanted Dianite to see how much of a monster he was, It happened when I was young, that's when Dianite went after Ianite" he said
"But why him? He didn't do anything?" She screamed
"But Ianite was considered the most handsome of the three by all"
"He really is..." she said out loud without meaning to
Champwan looked at her shocked for a second before bursting out laughing
" I didn't mean it like that!"
"Guys! We're here!" Said Matthew
When Jordan looked up form the ground she saw a portal inform of them.
It was beautiful.
Before she could run trough it Champwan stopped her and broke free from their shared cloak
" Let me go first, make sure it's safe" he said before stepping trough
A full minute pased until she saw the particles glow a bit brighter one more.
Thing was, two people stepped out.
The wizards freaked out and took defensive stances, she did too.
That was until she saw it was Dianite that came back with Champwan. Then she took a protective stance in front of the wizards.
"My dear, you sure have been busy. Tom has been looking for you for two days, though you ran away with lover boy here. And look what you brought back" he said stepping forward
"Oh hell no! Back off! If you so much as try and hurt them I'll attack!" Jordan said
But what he did next was the most unexpected thing she could have ever thought of.

Saga of Fallen Kings, Book I: The Revenant Prince
The Philosopher King once conquered the known world, his power seemingly unlimited and his armies inexhaustible. Since that time his might has slowly unravelled, and his once steadfast empire has begun to crack, splinter and devour itself. In the isolated Southern Realms, where even magic has abandoned them, none of that matters. For years it has been filled with warring kingdoms, where as many kings die to the blade as to old age, and constant battles tear apart the land. When one such kingdom invades its old enemy, the King and his heir, Prince Caden, are killed. Unable to accept the loss of his family Prince Arian is broken, and when the Philosopher King stretches out his hand in aid, Arian takes it without a second thought. When Caden wakes from death, he's different. His eyes and soul have changed, and he finds a world filled with friends who no longer trust he's even human. Suddenly thrust onto the throne and indebted to the Philosopher King, Caden has no choice but to keep going - he must finish what his father started, and try to survive the machinations of the figure who now owns his fealty. Meanwhile something beyond death stirs for him, desiring nothing more than to drag him back into its embrace. Author's Note: This story used to be known as "A King of his Own", but after some consideration I have decided to rebrand it. The first reason is that I was growing increasingly dissatisfied with the title. The second is that I have come increasingly to view this story as a 'saga' containing multiple 'books' rather than one long, continuous publication, and as I did so I realized that as I was quickly getting to a point in the story where I wanted the first 'book' to end. This doesn't mean I'm going back on the things I said below - they're just going to continue in the next book of the Saga of Fallen Kings. :) Also, be aware that I do plan to edit this at some point. Though I take care to squash out any obvious errors when I proof-read, and do simple edits in that process, at some point I'm almost certainly going to do large edits that might significantly change parts of the story. Old author's notes: This started as a completely random writing session. There was no purpose or direction, but as I kept typing an entire world began to form in my mind that I knew I had to write about. My plan is to turn this story into a veritable medieval fantasy epic that spans an entire world, follows multiple character and storylines, and takes place over many years. The story has quite a grounded, almost 'realistic' start, but many more fantastical elements will be introduced, expanded upon and become central to the narrative. I have ideas for this story that make me genuinely excited and I hope you enjoy my work as much as I enjoy writing it, and join me on what will hopefully become a truly massive fantasy epic. If you do enjoy this story please consider following, rating and leaving a review. I'm also happy to answer any questions or comments you have. The Novel's Extra's Extra
As a reader, Cristopher always looked for things that entertained him, didn't matter what the "critics" said, all that matters was his own opinion on the novel, so he started reading "The Novel's Extra", a webnovel that despicts an author who is transmigrated to his own novel. It was fun and all with its own good and bad points, really, one of his favorites novels at the end of the journey, and that's taking into account the little fact that he didn't have too many things he was able to enjoy, not in that empty shell that was called life for him... Why could someone be born like that? With a void inside, an endless void that slowly consumes oneself... But... for better or worse... everything changed one day, the same day he woke up to discover he had the same faith of the author whose novel he just finished reading, becoming an extra in a novel, becoming The novel's extra's extra... /Ok, now that's the description I thought of... first of all, for those of you who are reading this, if any, a few points I have to make clear: 1. I'm not an english native speaker, so if you find anything wrong in the text, please let me know, that would help me learn, and I would be thankful for that.2. I'm writting this out of pure "enjoyment", so while I'll try to be constant, I'll not make any promises.3. True reason why I'm writing this is because I'm going through a moderate to crippling depression right now (and no, is not because anything trully bad and horrendous happened to me, it seems to have something to do with my brain's malfuctioning, among other things), and doctors told me to try writing as I enjoy reading. So yeah, this is more like a self-help excercise, to keep myself distracted while trying to be safe from my self.4. I choose to make a fanfiction of "The Novel's Extra" as I don't trully know how to write, and because I really loved that webnovel, though there are some points I didn't particulary liked.5. If you see some (let's be clear, really much) self insertion on this series, well, that may be me trying to escape reality, to which I make an early warning and disclaimer, and also ask for forgiveness, as I said before, this is more of an excercise, so don't take it too serious.6. I'll be a slow writer, as I have to still check a few things from the novel, even when I've read it like 3 or 4 times already, and because I know shit about writing a novel or a series.7. If you get to enjoy this, then that's good, I would be glad about it, maybe even more motivated, but I don't really expect this to be any good. Thanks to you all who may, or may not, be reading this novel./
