Claire POV-

Her eyes could barely open, its like there was a tornado going on in her head. She tried to reach her head to locate the wound responsible when her arms could move.

She forced her eyes open to find a dark room, not only that but after a few second she found out she was shackled to the wall, her arms felt like they were ready to fall off.

She tried to reach the floor to give her arms a rest, but sadly her height was her greates enemy. The floor was at least a foot away from her feet.

"Why does this keep happening? I SWEAR JOSH, IF YOU BEHIND THIS IM GONNA GET YOU BACK!" Jordan screamed in frustration

"Quiet, our assailants may hear us!" Whispered a voice in the dark

She had to wait till her eyes adjusted to the dark to see that Champwan was in the same position as she was right next to her. He had blood dripping form his head though most of it was dry already.

That's when it all clicked in, they were in her basement finishing up her vault when they heard a noise upstairs.

They both hid behind some stone they had laid out but someone teleported behind them and the last thing Jordan remembered was Champwan screaming her name and darkness.

Jordan tried to shake the chains to try to break free, but they were stronger than they looked. It would be very hard to escape this time, last time she was abducted she had a plan laid out, now she'd have to really use her head to get out of this one.

She looked at Champwan for resurance but he was just as weak as she was.

"Do you at least know who did this?" She asked before blowing some hair strands out of her face.

"Not really, but who do we know that can teleport and has a particular hatred towards you?" He said

"Dianite.... but it's not possible, none of this was supposed to happen. None of this ever happened!" She whispered strongly in frustration

Her tired limbs were really started to annoy her, she felt like crying in desperation anything to make the pain in her arms to go away. Though crying in front of Champwan would be..odd.

Instead of crying like a kid she began to asses her options, feeling the cuffs in the shackles for any weaknesses. Sure enough there was one, there was a slot for a key.

"Looks like this word has similar restraints like the ones in my world, lucky for us, I watched a lot of tv" Jordan said bending her hands down as much as she could to reach her head

"What are you talking about?" He said

Jordan finally reached her hair, then she began looking frantically through it for the key to their escape. She had baby hairs ever since she cut her hair, to keep her hair under control she always wore a hair pin under her hair in case she wanted to tie it up, that way the baby hairs would fall out of place. Once Jordan found it she began to pick the lock as best as she could.

Champwan looked incredibly confused, he even looked like he was gonna start yelling at her for being so vaigue until her arm dropped down.

Jordan then picked the other lock and fell to the floor. She let her arms regain their strength, rubbing them for comfort and to uselessly speed the proses of recovery. After a minute or two she went over to Champwan.

"See, this is why it's important to carry around these things. Problem is how I'm gonna help you now, I can't reach the lock from down here...I guess I'll have to climb" Jordan said "I'm gonna need you to help me, when I climb on you I'm gonna need you to use your legs to keep me up. Stretch them out so I can sit on them"

"Are you crazy! I can't, I'll drop you!" He said

"I trust you one hundred percent. Promise I'll do this quick, now common gimme a boost!" Jordan said

as she jumped onto him, grabbing on to his neck until his legs helped her free her hands. She got to work on those locks in record time, she just hadn't thought about what would happen once he was free. They both fell on the ground hard, though her fall was cushioned by falling on Champwan.

"I'm so sorry!" Jordan said as she helped him up

He took her hand and managed to stay on his feet afterwards. He gave her a silent nod as a thank you, or so she presumed.

Looking around the room she saw a single bed and a nightstand on the other side. There was also a door on the wall in front of them that she swore wasn't there before, as well as some clean sheets next to it. Sadly they weren't able to find any weapons.

"Any idea were we could be? This is your world after all." Jordan asked

Sinking to the floor in frustration, he replied, "Not a clue, there are no windows here to try to figure it out, and that stone door has no cracks anywhere to see what's outside. We're going at this blind." Champwan let out a small scream before covering his face with his arms

She wanted to join him, except defeat with him. After all, there was nothing else they could do at that point. Problem was, that wasn't her at all, she loved solving problems and she was good at that, giving up just wasn't an option.

"Ok look, we may not be able to get out but the person that inprisoned us had to come back some time right? We just have to be ready for when they do... and I think I have just the things to do it"

Jordan rushed over to the bedstand, sure enough it was made like the ones back home. It had metal parts to help the drawer slide in and out. Perfect.

"Pass me all those sheets, lay them out between me and the nightstand" she said as she grabbed on to the drawer

"Why.." he began but she cut him off

"Just do it!" She creamed

Champwan gathered the sheets and did as he was told. Jordan then yanked the drawer as hard as she could, puhsing with her legs to get it to come out. Once it did, the force pushed her back and the drawer fell where Champwan had placed the sheets. She had asked him to do that to prevent the loud noice it would make, thankfully, it had served its purpose.

"What the he'll is that for?" Champwan asked but Jordan ignored him, too busy thinking on her next move

Jordan then got her hair pin and reassembled it to fit the screws that held the metal rods in place. She began to unscrew them one by one until both metal rods were unfastened. She used the floor and her foot to flatten out one end to make it sharper, it took all her strength to bend the metal but the final look wasn't too bad.

"Can you rip un a strip of one of the bed sheets, just a long strand will do" she demanded

"Fine, at this point you're our best bet of survival" he said as he began on his task

"See, the thing is, back home we don't depend on magic. We have to rely on our brains, that is my specialty" she said

Once he gave her the strip she wrapped it around the still bent end, that way she would have a better grill on her improvised weapon. It was sharp for sure, it wasn't too bad of a weapon. Once she was satisfied with it, she began on the other metal strap to make Champwan a weapon. He seemed to get the drill because he began ripping the sheets without instructions.

Once they were both finished she began seeing what else she could use. The improvised knives were good if they were in close proximity but what if they needed to fight from a distance?

Jordan got a metal piece much like the one from the drawer and bent it in a U shape. A bracelet she had on from back home was made of stretchy plastic, she broke it half with her new knife and got rid of the beads. Once the tick strap was bare, she fastened it to the ends of the u shape. Now she had an instant slingshot to use from a distance, they would have to use the screws from the bedstand as ammo for it.

Now that they had a good amount of weapons she slid the knife on the back of her belt pocket as well as the slingshot. She put half the amo in her pocket an dagger the other half to Champwan just in case.

Once all the weapons were concealed she put everything back in place, trying to make the room look as it was before. Once the drawer was put back in place and the bed looked stable as before she began to work on the shackles.

"We need to get these down, after. A few modifications I can make them into makeshift handcuffs that can come in handy" Jordan explained

"How?" He asked

"Well, we need to unfasten the metal that held our wrists, then using the holes on the sides of them we can bend some of the leftover metal in between them. That way they are fastened together and we can use them if we need to" she explained

"Ok, sound good. Honestly, how are you so good at this?" He asked

"I'm just using what I have at my disposal. Though now our problem is what do we do once someone walks in...how about we leave the chains on and when someone comes in we can pretend to still be tied up, then we attack." Jordan suggested

"What then? We don't know we're we are" he said as they began to work on the cuffs

"We run, that's our best bet. If we run it will be harder to catch us, besides we can try and hear were the person comes from, we will run that way. Once we are outside we can focus on finding an exit and weapons, real weapons" she said

"That's a good plan considering what situation we were in a few minutes ago. I heard you were captured by Josh once, it seems you were smart enough to find your way out of that situation" he said

She finished bending the metal for the cuffs, it wasn't too strong but it could help slow people down at the very least. They hid the cuffs under their shirts for easy access and began to catch their breaths. Now they at least had a fighting chance.

"Let's just hope I'm smart enough to get us out of this. They took all our weapons and potions, thy must be out there somewhere, with those we can do better. Right now we should rest out head injuries if we want to use the world communicator for help later, I can't access it now" she said as she realized that she too was bleeding earlier.

"You know what's funny, the first time I saw you I thought you were just a weak little girl. I mean you sure look like it, who knew you had this much fight in you" Champwan said laying back against the wall

"Well, I have a lot to life for. I will see my family again, to do that I need to be alive. Who knows, maybe they are worried sick about me, thinking I'm missing, they have no idea what's going on. All I know is that I have a good reason worth fighting for, and fighting isn't always determined by strength. Otherwise I would have never caught up with everyone else, I'd be the weakest out of all of us." She said as she closed her eyes for confort

An arm pulled her to the side until her head rested on a soft surface, Champwan held her in between his arms letting her rest on his chest. He grabbed on to her cape and wrapped it around her like a blanket.

" I know what it's like to fight for family, I may not have any left but I will do everything I can to help you get back to yours" he whispered

" Thank you. I'm sorry that you don't have family left, at least you have me as a friend, that may not be the same but you're not alone anymore. Speaking of which, I saw a painting with you and Ianite back at your home, how long ago was that?" She asked

"Oh that, it was from...around 20 years ago, I was 3 at the time. When Ianite wasn't in his island called Ianera, he'd come visit me and my father. He was a good god you know, I'm not surprised you ended up following him. You both have similar qualities"

"He and his brother seemed to at least stand eachother enough to be in the same painting. What happened to them?" She asked

Champwan took a stand of her short hair and pushed it away from her face. He laughed for a bit until he got s good look her red cape.

"You know, I once heard Tom say that he would protect you at all costs, it wasn't until I saw how freaked out he was that day you weren't waking up that i realized he was serious. I had teamed up with him during the purge because I was convinced he was just a reckless man, it wasn't till then that I saw he had a heart. Just never understood why you were so special." He said

"As flattered as I am, what does that have to do with the Gods?"

"Love is what brought them apart, or lack of I should say. I thought the gods were heartless until the day I turned 5, sure they were role models at times but they were all business ya know. That day though, Dianite lost it and then..." he didn't get to finish because they heard steps from outside.

Quickly they made their way to the wall with the chains and raise their arms to create the illusion they were still tied up. It was too dark to tell st first glance so their illusion would be briefly believable.

Jordan couldn't help but be afraid. Dianite was evil, he could torture them as he was probably torturing her god. If she knew they were in a place within the world communicator shield she would have just killed herself and spawned back home, but she could ba anywhere. If it was that easy Ianite would have done it, implying they were probably outside the safety range.

Jordan got on least look at her new friend befor the doors opened. She had seen Champwan rule the purges, never once seeing fear in his eyes. That was until today....

When the door opened a tall shadow of a man stepped through. He wore heavy clothing and the lack of lighting made it impossible to indentify who it could be. As he got closer he never said a word or noticed anything off. Once he was close enough Jordan decided this was their chance, there's was noneone else nearby and the door was wide open, it was time to act.

Though she preferred the lack of violence this wasn't just her life on the line, it was Champwan's as well. Without another hesitation she reched behind her belt and swung the belt right at the person's abdomen.

Luckily it was a clean hit and the person fell to the flooor in pain. Jordan grabbed the kife out of his body and let Champwan cuff him as well as knock him out.

"Let make out great escape them" she said before they ran out of the room

There were too many halls and barely any lighting anywhere, luckily that could work in their favor. They ran around for what seemed like hours until they found a giant door. Without looking back they rushed at it as fast as they could not caring about their cheap weapons that were left behind.

Unfortunately, the door had made a really loud noice when they opened it. The sound echoed across the halls they had passed, spreading throughout the structure.

They both stayed still for a few seconds, listening for any noice coming from inside. Thankfully no one seeemd to be rushing after them.

She tried hey turned around to began running through the flatland in front of them they saw four men standing in their way. The night made it hard to see their faces, then one of them summoned a fireball on his hand that lit up their faces. At least most of them since some had masks.

"Who are you?" Jordan asked the cloaked men, taking out her slingshot ready to fire

"We are the last remaining wizards of this world dear prisoners" said the one that had full armor that looked like it was on fire.

Wizards?

"Its you...." Jordan said "Wait, prisoners?"
