《The Spark of Balance: The Realm of Mianite (Book 1)》Ch44- She's not responding

Tom POV-
She looked as delicate as a princess, deep asleep with a smile on her face. It could be considered a crime to wake someone up when they are in this state of peace, but fuck it!
If this wasn't important he would just let her..nah, he would still wake her up.
"Sparkly pants! Wake up, stop dreaming about me. I know it must be very nice but its an emergency" Tom said as loud as he could, making the sound of his voice echo throughout the room.
Regardless of his efforts, she still wasn't awake. Usually she was a very light sleeper, but now she wouldn't even flinch when he started bouncing on her bed.
Eight bounces later, he grabbed her pillow and smacked it across her face.
Nothing.
Thats when panic set in. Tom quickly kneeled down to check for a pulse but his hands were shaking too much so he couldn't tell for sure.
Tom quickly took off the covers to check for any sign of injuries, perhaps she was attacked. He checked for blood or weapons as he screamed out her name. Thankfully, he found none.
He laid his head on her chest to check for a heart beat once more desperately trying to keep his mouth shut so he could listen. After a few seconds that felt like hours he found what he was looking for.
There it was, her heartbeat. She was alive.
Still unresponsive but at least she wasn't dying. It was stupid to worry and panic since he knew she would just spawn back if she died, his reactions made no sense. Yet there he was, tripping over the steps of her house, running downstairs to get some healing potions.
Funny thing was, she had none! Jordan had a thing against using magic unless it was absolutely necessary, that was something she had tried to explain to him multiple times. Still made no sense, how could someone not want to use magic?
It wasn't full magic like what wizards or gods could do so there was literally no harm in doing it, still, she is very stubborn. Cursing at her lack of potions he made his way back upstairs almost falling face first on the ground.
Once back in her room, she was still just laying there not moving a muscle.
"Jordan please! What on Dianite's name is going on! This isn't a funny prank anymore" he screamed
That still got him no response. He tried to think logically as she would in this situation. She didn't seem sick and her temperature was normal. She didn't seem like she was in pain, she had a smile on her face.
Tom ran his hands thought his hair in desperation, then wiped away the tears and pushed away his anger. He just didn't know what to do.
"Tom, are you guys coming? The priest doesn't like to be kept waiting." said Tucker in his head.
Tucker and Sonja.
"Guys something is wrong. Jordan isn't waking up, she's breathing but no matter what I do she won't wake up and I don't know what to do." said Tom, fully panicked at this point.
He didn't wait for their response, he could even hear what they were saying. It was all just background noice to him. Tom grabbed Jordan by the shoulders and held her tight in a hug, begging her to wake up.

He buried his face in the cape he gave her, downing out his sobs. Funny, even in her sleep she hadn't taken it off, it made him feel even more remorse now. He tried to think back to the last thing he said to her, but everything was moving so fast in his head that he could pin point that memory.
Everything was just swinging out of control, he couldn't breathe at the thought of something horrible happening to her.
"For Dianite's sake, bring the priest! Some potions! Anything!" He screamed to no one in particular.
Then in the middle of another sob he felt her shoulder move slightly, pushing his face upwards.
"What on earth is going on Tom? Will you stop screaming like a hyena for a bit!"Jordan said, rubbing her sleepy eyes.
She was ok.
Without listening to anything she was saying he just hugged her tightly, never wanting to let go. The sound of her complains just brought more relief, a reminder she was now ok.
"You scared me Jordan! You weren't waking up, and I thought you were hurt. Don't ever do that again, understand?" Tom whispered, still holding her tight.
"What are you talking about? I was just asleep" she asked confused.
Jordan pushed herself away so she could took at his face, even though she was probably still waiting for an answer, she smiled and wiped away his tears before returning back to the hug.
"You just weren't waking up, no matter how loud I was. Damn it, you and your lack of potions are gonna give me a heart attack one of these days."
Tom wasn't sure what else to say, so he focused on the hug, its all that mattered right now. He grabbed on to her short hair and combed his fingers through it, trying to soothe her. Actually that was to clam himself down.
"Seriously? That doesn't make sense. I was just sleeping and talking to Ianite. Hey maybe thats why, I was in a dream pocket with him." She said calmly as she rubbed his back in an attempt to stop further tears from him
Ianite? She was talking to her fake god?
Even if he was real, why would she talk to him? Maybe thats why she looked so happy, because she was with him. Its impossible though! Talking to people in dreams is just unheard of.
Before he could ask or complain further, four people burst in the room panicking. Tucker, Sonja, the Priest, and Champwan ran inside with weapons and books in hand. Once they saw she was awake they dropped everything on the floor and collapsed in relief.
"Not a funny joke Tom, how dare you scare us like that."said Sonja pulling her hair up in a ponytail and wiping the sweat off her face.
Tom then broke the hug and turned back to face Sonja, never letting Jordan's hand go.
"She just woke up out of nowhere! I wasn't lying I swear! She thinks it may have happened because she was dreaming about her 'god', it wasn't a trick!"
He count stand the distance anymore so he went back to hug her, needing to her her heart beat again, he needed to listen to it to calm his own. The sweet beat of her heart sounded like a relaxing melody that he dint want to let go of. Screw the others if they didn't believe him, for once in his life he was being honest.

"Seriously Tom, I'm ok. He's right though, I was talking to Ianite and the goodbyes took a little longer than usual. I could hear Tom trying to wake me up, I was just finishing up our talk." She said.
Tucker had been very quiet during the whole ordeal, though he was in the corner of the room with the most shade, Tom could still see a few tears in his face. Clearly he was still in need of as much recovery as Tom. Then Tucker got up and made his way to the bed.
He wiped the tears away and sat down to hug Jordan, that of course got Sonja all emotional and she joined in.
"Next time just don't take that long with the goodbyes. I couldn't even reach you through the world communicator to wake you up, that startled me a bit."said the priest.
When Tom looked back to glare at him he remembered that there was still another person in the room. Champwan. What was HE doing here?
"Why did you come then Campwan? Its not like Jordan is also your best friend, and you don't care about anyone's business unless it affects you, so what gives?" Said Tom curiously
Never in all his years here had Tom seen him personally come to check out any of their problems. When a house was rebuilt up in the sky as a prank, he didn't care at all. When we had the war, he never even left his home. Even when the gods showed up, he never left.
It was very strange behavior coming from him.
Champion began picking up some of the books scattered on the floor and set them off to the side quietly.
"It seemed like an odd thing to happen, I wanted to come see it myself. Plus I saw her fight during the purge. She has heart and strength, it would be a shame if something were wrong with her. I may not be very outspoken, but that doesn't mean I don't care for people Thomas."he said while heading towards the door.
He stopped midway across the room when he looked down to pick up something. A tulip. He examined it like a the crazy person he was but then began to make his way towards them.
Everyone stepped back to look at him, he seemed calm and slightly satisfied. Gently he bowed and handed the flower to Jordan. He looked around once more and walked back to the door.
Suddenly Jordan's eyes flared up with happiness at the flower. Maybe it meant something to her. She quickly set it on her dresser and saw Champwan leave with as much curiosity as the rest of us.
After a few moments of just sitting there as she explained her audience with her god, Tom expected everyone to look at her as if she was crazy.
Well Sonja and him were.
The priest and Tucker on the other hand were listening closely, paying attention to details. Afterwards the priest seemed to agree with her assessments and left. Tucker just looked happy and in agreement as well, during the whole story he actually seemed amazed at all of it.
Tom tried his best to seem reassuring but it just seemed like bogus to him, but then again, if the priest agreed to it, there was a high chance it was true.
"Im gonna go downstairs and make some breakfast for all of us before we head out." Sonja said, giving her best friend a big hug before exiting the room.
"Where are we going?" Jordan asked
"Dont know. The priest wanted us to meet him by his house. Thats why I came to wake you up." He said.
"Well that doesn't sound good. Guess I should get ready to go then" Jordan replied as she got up to get dressed
"Tucker, can you give us a moment alone... Blah, I don't have the energy to be formal, just get out for a bit." Tom said flustered
"Sure, I'm gonna....I'm gonna go help Sonja with breakfast" Tucker said giving Jordan a hug as well on his way out.
"Whats wrong? I'm sorry I scared you..."she said sitting at the edge of the bed
Tom gathered himself and went to sit along side her.
"How is your god like? If you guys have spend so much time together you should know him really well." Tom said bitterly
"Honestly, I don't know a whole lot about him. But the things I know seem too personal to tell you, their aren't my secrets to tell. But as a person, he's a great man. He is very kind and selfless." She said with a smile on her face
"I dont mean that! Who cares about personality. I mean what does he look like?" He corrected himself as he began playing with her cape.
"Well, he's very tall and built like his bothers. He has...purple hair." She said
"Legends did say he had purple hair. Anyways just don't ever do that again, you almost killed me!" He screamed
She looked deep into his eyes for a moment, he couldn't breathe. What could she be searching for? Instead of answering his question, she grabbed his cheek and laughed.
"You know that if I were dying I would just re spawn right? I don't understand why you were so worried"
"Me neither... hmm, how bout go downstairs and while we wait for breakfast we can make some potions for you. Its a hazard not to have some handy, I don't care what you think about magic but we're making them" he said holding her hand against his cheek
"I can't believe you guys cared so much about me. Thank you." She said
"Just don't ever make me worry like that again...let's go"
"Ok fine. I'll race ya!" She said storming downstairs
He stood there for a few seconds in awe, then flashed his evil smile and raced after her.
"You're dead meat Sparkly pants!" He screamed as he rushed behind the sight of her cape.

Evo-Gaming
Evolution based StarCraft story with game-like elements. Everyone gets a good cheat-like system with well design UI and player-friendly system. I get this broken piece of shit Alpha version. Not to mention, that starting at the very bottom is not that fun. Oh well, let's hope things get better later. Warning - If you read this now, you will be essentially beta tester. The story will include biology, chemistry, but will not focus on it too hard. I aim to please both groups but inevitably will probably alienate both the people who dislike the subject and the ones who like it.

AOT: Boats
I know, the title doesnt seem to make sense. Its an acronym. For what? Hm. T means True. Up to you otherwise. Oh, right. The acronym actually does have an impact on one of the themes of the "story". At the same time I mixed it up with a reference to the original plan for this when I started, so yay. A double. Well, actually, a triple. Again, up to you. I should also mention that, as the rhyme that starts the story probably tells you, its gonna get kinda disturbing. All kinds of disturbing. Just to let you know.
