Ianite POV-

It had been ages since Dianite or any of his servants had shown up. Last time he had visitors was when his brothers went out to face the shadows.

The relief of knowing his champion was on his side this entire time had really gotten rid of a lot of the mental pain and betrayal that had filled his mind for a few days. His only worry now was whethe they were successful or not.

Not seeing Dianite for so long would have normally been a relief, but now it just worried him more.

What if they had all been killed and his father was out looking for him?

Even though Dianite had put him through all of this, he worried for his brothers lives. Ianite had experienced his father's wrath personally once, his powers are no match for them.

More importantly he feared for his champion's life. She had been putting herself in danger this whole time to save a world that wasn't even hers to begin with.

Although admirable, no human could take on the shadows, only immortals such as himself stood a chance. This was not for lack of faith in her, Ianite had just seen too many humans die at his father's mercy.

For what seemed like years he had tried to escape, he had fought the metal cuffs so much that his wrists were a complete mess. After trying hopelessly to escape a better idea came to mind.

He was no longer being tortured, so if he saved up his enegry, maybe he could speak to Jordan and make sure she was ok.

That had been his mission for the past few days.

Self healing had taken care of most of his simple wounds and his mind was well rested, now all that was left was to concentrate enough to reach her.

Ianite could have been able to reach her for about an hour now, but he was...afraid. Afraid that she was truly dead. It even got to the point where he convinced himself to do it tomorrow instead.

Even God's have fears Ianite.

His mother.

Even his mother's voice counseled him in these troubling times, but she was right. It was ok to be afraid, he just had to believe that she was still alive and all would be ok.

Ianite got into a more confortable position and closed his eyes, full focus on his champion. He concentrated on her smile, her brown hair flowing in the air, the light in her eyes when she spoke of her sciences, and the kindness in her heart.

After a few minutes, just before Ianite gave up, an image appeared in his mind.

It was her. His champion, Jordan Sparkles.

She was outside with the Dianitee Tom. She seemed at ease with him, at lest she wasn't in trouble or anything. Most importantly, she was still alive and well.

Ianite couldn't help but crack a smile at the sight of his beloved champion, it seemed as though she had prevailed after all. Getting back into focus, Ianite tried calling out to her.

He was still too weak to become a hologram but at least he could reach her mind.

"Jordan" he said

That seemed to catch her attention briefly but she shrugged it off short after. At least it worked for now. This would be more efficient at night when he could appear in Jordan's dreams, it may not be as easy or smooth as before but it would be enough to have a simple chat.

Never in his many years would he have thought that a human could succeed at a mission against his father. She truly was very special...

When Iante opened his eyes he fought to catch his breath. Regainging his focus he managed to lay down on the floor and smile.

She was alive, not all hope was lost.

Though something in him had changed, before he would have wanted to be rescued more than anything, now he just wanted her to live. It was a strange change of thoughts.

God's don't care much about humans, it's a horrid way of thinking but when you live forever things lose their value. Time goes by so fast that having friends or a normal life just lead to pain, everyone would die eventually.

Never in his years did he wish to slow down time. All he wanted was more time to be around her, not be locked up here. Being with his champion was the most important thing to him now, it was some much needed company.

They would talk about anything and everything for hours, bring peace and balance, but most importantly, they would be together. Just like Miante and Dinate can do with their champions.

Through all three of them may seem cold and closed off, it's all just to prevent the pain that comes with being immortal. These champions may just change that in time, just as their mother had predicted,

As night set in, Ianite regained his focus once more and attempted to reach her dreams.

"Jordan?" He shouted

After minutes without response Ianite began to scream her name once again before he was cut off

"Iante?... I can't believe it, its you!" She said

Then the dream landscape began to form and they both appeared a few feet from eachother in a grassy land filled with red tulips and a cabin in the distance.

Jordan looked at him and tears began to fall from her face. Iante was still to shocked to move, unsure of what to do next.

"Hello my lady, shall we talk?" Ianite said.
