《Mianite- The Alternate Heroes' Journey》*Ianite's POV*

I was terrified, and fresh out of ideas. For a moment, I wondered if I could build the portal to Ruxomar and escape through it, but Mot had already destroyed the portal from his end. When would he rebuild it? It had already been almost two years. I could only hope that he was safe, although it was for selfish reasons. I had no doubt that Mot would've sided with Redbeard if he had been here.
"Declan! Champwan!" Mianite called. I turned around to see him fearfully directing the two of them. "Do you both have your weapons?"
Scared out of their minds as well, Champwan held up the bow that kills gods, and the priest held up the sword. "We have it," Declan yelled. "Do you think it'll work against the Shadows?"
"Normally it would," I interrupted. "But I'm guessing that a combination of Bella and Alyssa is incredibly powerful. However, he may have revived Dianite, and, obviously, the weapons will work against him. We just have to put up the best fight that we can."
"Got it," he replied, his voice higher pitched than normal. They hid behind one of the buildings, near the arena in which Dianite had previously been killed with the bow that Champwan was now holding.
We barely had time to take our positions before the sky began to flicker, and a massive ship entered Aethoria. Out of it climbed my least favorite brother, followed by a terrible-looking hybrid of Bella and Alyssa. The fusion was much taller and stronger than each girl, and it seemed to stomp instead of walking properly. Black fog spilled out of the eyes and mouth, and it was constantly twitching. I wasn't even sure if Bella and Alyssa were still alive inside of it.

"It's like a family reunion," Dianite laughed, glowing with an orange aura. "All three siblings are alive and well, and our father is even here! Shame it won't last long."
"Yeah, it'll be a real shame to see you die again," I snarled. Right on cue, an arrow flew from behind the building and hit Dianite right in the chest. He let out a furious yell and doubled over.
"I'm not as weak as I used to be, you see!" the devil cackled. "I won't be killed by a few measly arrows anymore. Things have changed!" I waited for him to charge at us, but he stayed put. "However, I'd prefer to remain uninjured. There's someone who would like to deliver the final hit themselves." He turned to the Bella-Alyssa hybrid and grinned, waiting for it to advance toward us.
It didn't.
It began twitch more and more, and it's mouth opened and closed wordlessly. In the confusion, a few more arrows flew from Champwan and stuck Dianite's stomach. Before the furious god could react, the hybrid let out a long, shrill scream and began to dissolve.
"Father?" Dianite screamed, deflecting another arrow. "What's going on?"
Figuring this was the ideal time to attack, Mianite raised his hands toward the sky, and caused an enormous lightning bolt to strike our brother. When the bright light faded away, he seemed, much to our disappointment, to be perfectly fine, with the exception of a single scar. Dianite sent a trail of flames toward us, but his aim was careless, as he was still watching the Bella-Alyssa hybrid in terror.
"STOP IT!" it screamed suddenly, in the voice of the Shadows. "I know what you... NO!" The hybrid began to reform, but the twitching wasn't stopping.

"Pull it together and kill them!" Dianite yelled in frustration. He was definitely growing weaker from the arrows, that was for sure. He tossed a fire charge at the building Champwan was hiding behind, but Mianite jumped in the way and deflected it with his body.
"You can't fight fire with fire, brother," he snarled at Dianite. He looked like he was going to continue, but got cut off by the hybrid.
"YOU FOOLS!" It's hand trembling, it raised it's arm and shouted, "I'll bring the others here! Then I can destroy... you all... together!"
"No!" I yelled, even though I was well aware that I wouldn't be able to do anything about it. I was the little sister, the weakest god, and my father was ten times more powerful than I could ever hope to be. I flinched in preparation, expecting to see my ex and his friends fall in front of me, to face my father's wrath.
But before anything could happen, the hybrid began to dissolve again, and Alyssa's voice came from it's mouth. "You... promised... not... hurt... others!" It was almost splitting in half, and it's features were becoming mangled and deformed. It was a horrifying sight, and it took a load of willpower to keep myself from looking away.
"Better... off... dead! Have to... kill... everyone!" the Shadows attempted to reply, it's mouth forming a strange shape that made it difficult for them to speak.
"Enough!" Dianite cried. "If you can't handle those two little girls, I'll take on my siblings myself!" With only a second's warning, his eyes lit up with flames, and two massive explosions flew toward us. I screamed and attempted to jump out of the way, but I didn't get very far. Bruises ran up and down my legs, and smoke filled my eyes and nose.
"You want to fight?" Mianite yelled. "Then let's fight, little brother!" Storm clouds filled Aethoria's night sky, and rain poured down. It made Dianite lose his balance, but mostly, it put out his fire. Champwan took this opportunity to send even more arrows at the god.
"NO! DIA..." the Shadows spoke in a desperate, hoarse voice, and frantically waved it's arms. Suddenly, the hybrid split in half, and the two girls collapsed, both crying, to the ground. The black fog filled the air.
"Get him!" Bella shrieked at us. "He's weak! You can get him now!"
Mianite and I desperately attacked the black fog, but we were already weakened. The Shadows formed the shape of a person, and raised it's arms in the air once more.
"I shall kill all of you!" he thundered. "Together!"
I turned, and to my horror, saw Jeriah appear next to me, followed by Spark and Redbeard. I desperately fought back, but I knew ahead of time what was going to happen.
The end truly had come.

Zombies
This is one of three stories that I am offering as a test run. If you like it, then I'll choose to continue working on it. I have a whole plot line ready to explore! What can I say, I'm a sucker for rebirth, regression, and transmigration stories. This one is a regression story. The main character get's yeeted back in the past, to where the end began. Read on tortured souls as I do my best to break the weak, and sooth those who don't have a soul to break. I spent some time trying to make a story that explores all the gritty situations a resident of the apocalypse would encounter. Unfortunately, I do struggle with pace. I get just as impatient as you when I can't get to the next bloody encounter. But I despise OP characters, and I really wanna stop and explore the fascinating death of civilization. I write this in hopes of making a main character who get's to be the bad-ass I can't be, without, you know, skipping the good stuff.
