《Mianite- The Alternate Heroes' Journey》*Meanwhile*

Captain Sprinklez, the friendly baker, opened his shop for the day. He sat behind his counter and stared longingly out the window, hoping that someone would come by. He had plenty of pineapple upside down cake to go around. For about half and hour, nobody came. He leaned out the door and called to citizens passing by, but nobody seemed to want a cake today. He was getting tired and upset when he heard an explosion in the distance.

"What's this?" a person next to his shop exclaimed. Her eyes widened in fear and her mouth hung open, so the baker jumped from behind his wooden counter and dashed out the door to see what was bothering her. The magnificent ship that had always been sitting on the dock was cracked, right in half. It looked like there were people on it.

"What's going on?" Prince Andor's voice sounded from behind us. The boy, boomerang in hand, pushed through the forming crowd to get to the scene.

Andor locked the jail door behind them, hoping they weren't hostile. In his heart, he knew they wouldn't be, because he recognized them. Well, maybe not them. He just knew that the four people who had fallen from the sky happened to look like the four people who had disappeared ten years ago.

First there was a man who looked like Mot, except that he was full zombie instead of half creeper. He wore a neat suit instead of the messy black-and-white outfit that the man Andor had known always wore. Then, there was a man who looked like a young Jeriah, only without the facial hair. The man in the next cell looked exactly like a young version of Andor's own grandfather. Although Andor remembered him with green glasses, not red ones. And the girl in the last cell, obviously, looked like Alyssa, except with green eyes instead of red. Plus, this girl wore what appeared to be a fox hoodie, which seemed rather inconvenient to him.

Everyone else seemed to think it was a nuisance, but Andor thought differently. Andor could tell, before anyone else, that everything was about to change.

Helgrind watched the four of them running around and playing, like little kids. He already trusted Jericho, a loyal Mianite follower. He could fit in well in the strict community Helgrind had set up. His girlfriend, on the other hand, didn't seem nearly as trustworthy. The king had reluctantly agreed to spare her, since it meant so much to Jericho.

The other two were a different story. Tom, first of all, was as far from trustworthy as you could possibly get, in Helgrind's eye. He openly worshipped Dianite, and would stop at nothing to break rules. He was banished right away. And Sparklez? Helgrind had a special kind of hatred for him. He was still very much against both of his parents, and Sparklez was just a living reminder of that. The man worshipped Ianite, although he tried to deny it. And he immediately became friends with Andor, who Helgrind was starting to despise. This couldn't be heading in a good direction for the king.

He would have to end this "treason" as soon as possible.

Ianite looked longingly at the four heroes, laughing together. She knew exactly who they had been previously, and she couldn't help but wonder if this was a cruel joke, sent by a higher being. Ten years ago, four people had disappeared, throwing her world into chaos. Everything had spiraled downward from that moment. Was seeing four people that looked almost exactly like them just a sick reminder?

The worst part about this joke, to Ianite, was CaptainSparklez. He wasn't the Spark she used to know and love, that's for sure. Their personalities differed greatly. She knew she should just cast him aside, instead of living with that painful reminder. This, of course, is easier said than done, especially since this man has dedicated his life to her, or at least the idea of her. He treated her with kindness, and would stop at nothing to help her. Ianite was trapped, unsure of what she should do.

She just wanted her old life back, and her old Spark. At the very least, she wanted to know why all of this was happening to her.

Dianite sat, in spirit form, next to the four heroes. They had entered Urulu, a city that meant a lot to the god. They entered the house of his former champion. Dianite felt a pang in his chest when he remembered Mot and Alyssa, the two bravest people in Ruxomar. They had vanished long ago, and here were different versions of them. Tom wasn't all that bad, but Firefoxx was nothing like Alyssa. She worshipped Mianite, to start off with.

"Is this Mot's diary?" Sparklez asked, brushing the dust off of an old book. "Should I read it?"

"Go ahead," the wizard said, searching through more chests. Intrigued, Dianite listened closer to Sparklez. He hadn't known that Mot had a diary.

As the book went on, Dianite felt panic rising inside him. He listened in horror as all of Mot's feelings were listed. Mot had felt like this, and he hadn't even known? He was supposed to support Mot, just as Mot supported him, and he had to reveal these feelings to his diary instead? Why was his champion hiding these things from him?

"I..." Sparklez stammered, staring at the page in shock. "I am in love with Dianite."

The god's mouth dropped open- or it would have, if he had a mouth. If he had a heart, it would have started beating rapidly, and time would've seemed to slow down. This is what Mot had been so afraid to admit?

And while everyone was thinking about Mot, Alyssa, Spark, and Jeriah, the four of them sat back in the Realm of Mianite, feeling like the world was against them and that they were trapped in this battle forever.
