It was mind blowing how much my life had changed in one year and four months , I had gone from being a meek girl who had no idea what the real world was like and who's only real wish was to feel rain to making friends for life , getting mated for life, becoming engaged and was now heavily pregnant with three children.

I felt blessed beyond my wildest dreams.

The war had been over a lot quicker than anyone had anticipated , something awful had happened to Jasmine and Chaos had went into a rage that nobody had ever seen before . It was like he blacked out and he cut down and killed everything and anyone in his path, he was absolutely untouchable and he had destroyed half of the opposition army on his own.

He had transformed into an almost devil like creature , which made sense as the humans idea of the devil was originally based off of Chaos, with red glowing skin , horns and fangs. Even Kavos said he had been mind blown as he witnessed it.

However, they had found out that Jasmine was pregnant with a boy and apparently Chaos went ballistic and she was more or less locked up in his tower with 24 hour supervision. I felt sorry for her but Chaos had banned her from any visitors until after the baby was born, which wouldn't be long . Our pregnancies would be around six months rather than the human nine months as the children were growing rapidly and becoming stronger by the day.

"Guess who's back!" Came the sing song voice of Aztec as he walked into the living room of our new house .

We had moved out of our old house and into the new one and Aztec had our old one , I didn't see him as often as I wanted too as he was busy with helping clean up and deal with the after effects of the war a few months ago.

His spare time was spent trying to woo Sapphire who was incredibly stubborn but was surely but slowly coming around , it had been her 19th birthday a few days ago and they had went away for two days together although she insisted on spare rooms.

"Hi" Came the curt tone of Sapphire as she walked in after him .

"Hey , how was your trip ?" I asked , glad for the company .

"It was good , we went to somewhere called America in the human realm. They had really good food but the people were so fat and kinda rude , they have an opinion about everythinggg but it's the country Sapphire grew up in" Chattered Aztec, gazing at Sapphire with adoration.

"Did you enjoy it Sapphire? "

"It was alright I guess" She tapped her lip, smirking slightly " You're even bigger than you was when I saw you last month , I didn't think you could possibly get any fatter" .

"And you're even more of a bitch than you was last month , I didn't think you could get any ruder!" I snapped back , folding my arms .

That was response wasn't something I would ever usually say but my hormones were all over the place and a short temper seemed to come with it , I had found myself a lot ruder than I had ever been before . Besides , Sapphire deserved it , it's like she went out of her way to be rude sometimes and for no reason and I had no idea why .

"Maybe you're not as much of a goody two shoes as I though" She laughed , her eyes sparkling with mirth .

"What have you been up to?"

"Being bored out of my brain , Kavos won't let me do anything at all and I'm just cooped up in here unless I visit Cassandra in the Wolf realm but she's busy with her children so I don't want to intrude. I've basically been spending all my time online shopping" I explained with a sigh .

"On Kavos's card I hope" Sapphire chimed in with a grin .

"Of course she has , I already told her she may as well take advantage of her sugar daddy!" Aztec interjected .

"He's not my sugar daddy!"

"He's like a gazillion years older than you , you don't work and he spoils you all the time . Sweetie, he literally is your sugar daddy but it's fine because you won , you've got him trapped for life with the ring and the babies" Grinned Aztec , putting his hand out to high five me .

"Not me kind of stanning Blue" Laughed Sapphire as I stuck my tongue out at Aztec and blanked his raised hand .

Sapphire and Aztec spent another two hours with me and we ended up watching a movie before Sapphire left and Aztec followed shortly after her . As it was getting late I decided to go into Kavos's office to see what he was up too when I got the shock of my life .

Kavos was crouched down and next to him were three large, almost horse sized , black panthers that all looked as ferocious as the other . One had burnt orange coloured eyes , the others with icey blue and the other with a watery green colour and their fur was a thick midnight black onyx colour .

Their teeth were sharp and pointy , dripping with drool. They were truly terrifying creatures of the night .

"Do you like them ? I got them for our children when they're born to keep as pets" Grinned Kavos , stroking their fur.

"You got our babies horse sized black panthers as a gift ? Kavos , they're babies! Are you crazy ?" I exclaimed , taking a step back as all three of their eyes snapped up toward me .

"You've you've got a dragon as pet!"

"Yes and I'm an adult , not a baby ! What if they hurt them ?!" I exclaimed , incredulously.

I knew men could sometimes be oblivious but this was ridiculous, in what world was this an appropriate gift ? These things could swallow me whole, never mind a new born baby .

"They wouldn't , I went to the witches realm as I wanted to get them a soul pet . A soul pet is what Thunder is to you , they pick the perfect pet for you and it'll bond with you on sight . These will protect our children to the death, just like Thunder would to you . Besides, I could kill them in an instant" Kavos assured me , grabbing my hand and bringing me over to them .

I was completely petrified , these creatures weren't something to be messed with but then again someone could say that about Thunder who was currently 14ft with razor sharp teeth and could breath an unlimited amount of fire . After about twenty minutes , Kavos finally managed to get me to stroke them and I did eventually warm up to them , although I told him he'd have to put them in the garden for now .

"Fine , I'll bring them down now"

"Wait , what if Thunder mistakes them for food ?" I asked curiously.

"She wont, I'll introduce them and she will recognise them as family pets who will somehow be important to the children . I'll meet you in the bedroom in 10 minutes" He explained before disappearing.

As I was about to turn around and make my way to the bedroom , I was suddenly greeted with the appearance of a woman who I had recognised as Octavia , Queen of the witches realm and Jasmine and Sapphires mom. I had studied her back when I lived with Ms. Reid and Margret, she was tiny thing with long blond hair , orange eyes and sunglasses.

"You know who I am" She said , her face and tone blank.

"Indeed but h-how did you get in here ? Kavos has powerful wards" I replied wryly , automatically covering my bump in a protective manner.

"Do not threat my child , I mean you or your children no harm and if I did , it'd take much more than your hand to stop me" She laughed out , an arrogance that reminded me of Sapphire coming from her a tone .

"Kavos would kill you" I stated matter of factly.

"He would" She agreed " Now , I've come to deliver a message and as I have zero desire to speak or be associated with anyone related to that ghastly creature that is Chaos , I thought it'd be best if I caught you on your own"

"He's going to be the father of your grandchildren" I pointed out , slightly bemused .

"Don't remind me and I had hopes for Sapphire and she seemed to get just as an awful matching as Jasmine. I suppose it is Fate punishing me as I rejected him a few hundred years ago , men do not let go of grudges"

"Don't you have something to tell me?" I replied back curtly , not liking that she was insinuating that Sapphire could do better than Aztec.

She gave me a withering looking before saying " A prophecy has been spoken about one of your children. This is it ;

true love will bring" And with that , she disappeared.

"Kavos!" I yelled out , knowing he'd feel the distress in the bond and come immediately.

My daughter was going to be mated to a halfling king ? What did that mean and who did it mean ?

It was like the drama never stopped .
