Anzu sat bound by rope to bleachers of her shadow's circus tent, forcibly watching her fly through the air on her trapeze and landing perfectly on her two feet, bowing.
Anzu frowned, rolling her eyes. "Great. Wonderful. Truly a masterpiece. I would clap but some bitch tied me up."
The shadow rolled her eyes as well.
Anzu shrugged. "It's in my blood."
Shadow Anzu rolled her eyes, annoyed. "Well, I suppose that's what I'm here for...that's why I exist..."
Anzu looked up, confused. "What?"
Shadow Anzu sighed.
Anzu stood up, agitated. "Who the hell do you think you are?!"
"I'm you, ya damn idiot!"
"If you were really me, you would know what I see! I see things that are never there! I see them on a daily basis! I see myself as that little, broken girl on her tenth birthday, finding that note, realizing she was a fucking mistake! I see everyone who beat the crap outta me because of what I have! I see my MOTHER! Whom I never even saw before! I see her, and I hear her tell me She's disappointed in me! She's there in my dreams, she's there in the bathroom as I'm cutting my thighs! She's always there! But...she's only there.... So if you think you're me, then you're DAMN FOOL-!'
Shadow Anzu, now enraged, slapped Anzu straight across the face, leaving a big red mark on her pale cheek. Her breathing was becoming sharp.
"Don't you EVER say that I wasn't there! Don't you ever think I was there too...? Don't you think I was there with you in that bathroom, bleedin' out in that bathtub with you! Don't you think I was there when you thought about takin' those pills in dad's cabinet...? BECAUSE I WAS DAMNIT! I WAS THERE WITH YOU! WHEN YOU HURT, I HURT! I AM YOU! AND YOU ARE ME! YOU HURT ME MORE THAN ANYONE AND ANYTHING ELSE IN THIS WORLD!"

Anzu moved back in fear. This had been the most terrified she had ever been in her life.
Together....

Chikako Residence
It was still raining once Isas returned home. Chiyoko was likely upstairs playing with her dolls. Yasahiro was in the living room, playing around with his phone when he heard Isas enter. He whipped his head around and quickly stood up. He seemed very nervous.
"H-hi Isas! Welcome home!" He said.
"Hello Yasahiro. Is everything alright? You seem uneasy..." Isas replied.
"I was just worried about you....you seemed really upset and...I didn't want anything to happen to you."
Isas sighed, walking over to him and placing a hand on his shoulder.
"Yasahiro, I'm fine. Sometimes, I just have trouble with my own feelings."
Yasahiro looked down at his feet, too nervous to look up.
"Was....was it something I did?"
Isas shook his head. "No. Not at all. You...Yasahiro, I am so sorry for the way I acted. I did not mean to make you so upset."
Yasahiro looked up and smiled, pulling Isas into a tight hug.
"It's okay Isa-Chan! I'll always be here for you!"
Isas smiled as he patted Yasahiro's head. Yasahiro nuzzled closer to him as a sign of comfort.
Isas chuckled lightly as he broke away from the hug, reaching into his book bag. "Here, I have something for you."
"R-really? For me?" Yasahiro asked.
Isas nodded as he pulled out a small panda plushie, handing it to Yasahiro. His eyes lit up as he squealed excitedly.
"Oh! I love it, Isas!....But what is it?" Yasahiro asked curiously.
"It's a small panda plushie. It is supposed to help you sleep. A little buddy to sleep with, I suppose. That doesn't mean I won't allow you to come to my room if you feel frightened."

Yasahiro smiled warmly. "Thank you Isas! And I promise to do the same if you're ever scared!"
"....thank you, Yasahiro. I'll remember that."
Yasahiro nodded reassuringly. "Now, are you still planning on eating tomorrow? Or do you want dinner now?"
"That depends, do you now how to make food?"
"Mmm...no.."
"That's okay, I'll show you."
"Thank you Isas..."

Suki was walking home once again, feeling blisters form on her feet. It would be awhile before she got home.
Okay! Tomorrow, I'm getting a bike! That's final!
"Hey, Kid. Need a ride?"
"Huh?"
(I am so sorry for this. People will come to home and kill me for this.)
There was a strange pink haired woman on a yellow vespa that had pulled up next to her, a wide grin on her face.
"Um...kinda? But I don't think I'm supposed to go anywhere with strangers...." Suki replied hesitantly.
The woman scoffed. "What are you, five?"
"Actually, I'm-"
"Sixteen. You'll be seventeen on the twenty-first...."
Suki stared at her disbelief. "....how did you know?"
"If you get on, I'll tell ya~"
"Hmmmm..."
"Aww, what's the matter? Too scared to take risks?"
Suki scoffed. "Believe me, I take a lot more risks than you could ever imagine."
"Why don't you get on and tell me about it?"
Suki sighed as she reluctantly got on the back of the woman's vespa. She wrapped her arms around her middle, the woman then moving her hands to her waist, causing Suki to blush.
"Hang on tight!" The young woman said, revving up her vespa and heading off at high speed.
Suki gripped on tight as this reckless woman swerved left and right on the road, going far past her house.
"W-wait! M-my house! It's back there!"
"We're just makin' a quick stop! Just keep holdin' on, unless you wanna end up like road kill!"
Suki nodded as she continued to grip on tight. "B-by the way, what is your name?"
"My name?"
The woman looked back at Suki for a second and then back at the road, smiling.
"For now, you can just call me

Rise of the Firstborn
[A participant in the Royal Road Writathon Challenge]As the inhibitor rises and the eternal flame is quenched, our lands shall be freed, and only then will the Princess be set to flee. It began with ice. A relentless, bone-chilling tickle of frost that stretched across the lands of Axulran, crawling over the mountain crests and freezing the grassy meadows. Frozen in time, the kingdom fought for political control all across the region of Ellixus, paying no mind to the death and torment they may cause along the way. Cateline Bennett, a princess consumed with ice, found herself lost in a foreign kingdom with nothing but her wits to survive. As she explores this unknown land, she unravels her past and discovers that the magic she had concealed for so long could unleash chaos so intense, it could destroy the world as she knew it. With her untapped magic and new friends, Cateline must vanquish the enemies that threatened the world of Denzethea as they knew it, else they, and all they knew, would crumble to ruin. NOTE: A review on this fiction has indicated that certain themes were traumatizing. While I believe this to be exagerated, I have added the appropriate tag for those who may be sensitive to those themes (fever dreams, delusions, and trials and tribulations).
