《Maeve》ChapterThirtyThree: Mother Of Four
Advertisement
The beautiful human with red hair was walking towards the man who changed her life forever. Ever since she had run away from her parents and moved in with the werewolf who had told her things she could have never imagined to happen in her life. So young and naive and only eighteen years old when she left the place she had called a home. Her parents were always very strict about everything she did and never would they have approved her choice of man.
Now she has a man, who she loves with all of her heart, and who loves her and four amazing children with him. Never in her life did she imagine that she would have children with a werewolf. Her parents would roll in their graves.
William, Kathryn, Noah, and Sophie were the reason why she was currently living as an outsider in a place full of shapeshifters who despited her. Ever since humans were born as a species, they and the supernatural species never have had a good relationship. Because humans don't have a gift that would separate them from other species the supernatural have thought them as a waste of air and food.
"Oliver?" She asked and stepped into the cottage that the father of her children uses as his office.
The man lifted his head but didn't stand up and come to hug her as Alison had hoped. They had had a big fight a few nights back. But then a simple tear dripping from her eye changed all of that. Alison was pregnant meaning that their biggest fear was going to happen.
Pregnant with a baby that might cause the thing she and Oliver have been afraid ever since their first born.
"I'm p-pregnant."
All the color from the man's face disappeared.
"Are you sure?" He gulped.
Alison nodded and swiped the tears away from her eyes. Pregnancy is a thing that every woman should experience in her point of view. It was amazing how you can create a new life inside of your own body making it the best gift she could ever wish. The only problem is that it might also kill her.
Since the beginning of the time, a human having a baby with the supernatural especially with a werewolf has been very rare. First only a couple of humans and werewolves has been mates and had the opportunity to make an offspring. And second only a few women have survived to give a birth to a werewolf's child.
Alison has been so far a big exception with having four children with a werewolf and every single one of her children has been one too. Usually, the children will inherit the supernatural gene but that is also way more dangerous for the mother. After the birth of Noah, a doctor warned her that if she will have another child and the child will be a werewolf it will kill Alison and the child.
She put her hands over her abdomen hoping that the child will be a human like her. She wouldn't mind if the birth will cause her own death but she would never forgive herself if she killed her own child. The child is innocent from all the horrors that are happening in their world.
"We need to get rid of that thing," Oliver announced and was making his way towards the pregnant human.
"No."
"What do you mean by 'no'? That thing will kill you!!!"
"That thing is our child! And I will die before I let you kill our child." Alison tried to calm her breathing and stress. It is not good for the baby. "The child might be a human like me."

"Just like we believed the last four times, and see where we are now with four werewolf children," Oliver rubbed the bridge of his nose.
He took a calming breath before kneeling before the pregnant woman, "Please, I'm begging you."
"If you don't want the child, I will leave with our children and you will never see us again."
Oliver had no choice but to accept his fate. He can only pray that the child that is slowly killing his mate will be a human.
Like said Alison has been an exception so far, but the doctor warned them. And the fact that humans are too weak species to carry something supernatural made the situation way worse.
Now the only thing that he can do is to watch as his mate grows something that is going to kill her.

"I'm pregnant," Maeve mumbled to herself. The word itself felt weird in her mouth. She is going to be a mother to a baby girl or a boy.
She looked at herself from a mirror. How did she not realize that earlier? She knew that there had to be a reason why her breasts had grown. The Fate couldn't be that nice that it gave her a beautiful pair of bosom without an ulterior motive. It wanted to have an heir to the throne of werewolves.
She put her hands over her abdomen and smiled. Maeve had always wanted to be a mother but she always thought that when the time comes she would be at least 20 summers old and married to a man she loved.
"Hello, little o-one," She whispered as a tear fell on her cheek. At the same time, she was so happy but also very sad. It only might be the hormones that are currently raging in her body, but everything on being pregnant reminded her of her own dead family. How happy her mother would be and how her sisters would be thrilled with the thought of being an aunt.
She will be a mother.
Alison would be a grandmother and Maeve's favorite sibling Will would be so mad. She could see the rage on his eyes making her smile. The human always wondered where did her brother inherit that.
Maeve was back in her own room. After the whole episode on the library where she found out that she is now responsible for another living being made her freak out. She managed to eat little of the steak that she got before she rushed back to her own room. The human needed time to think and that is something she had to do alone.
Soon it would be a night. The human could see many stars on the sky knowing that it will be a cold night.
She opened the window of her room letting the cold air conquer it. The sky was so dark that she couldn't see where the ground was. If she jumped down when would her feet touch the ground?
"DON'T" A female voice yelled outside.
Soon two figures came to the light and Maeve gasped. She immediately recognized who they were, how could she not recognize the man she is currently hating?
Next to Cato or more like the person who the beta was dragging behind was Elena. But that wasn't the thing that Maeve first noticed. Both of them were covered with a layer of some liquid or mud. The human couldn't quite see what it was but she sensed that whatever it is, it is not a good thing.

"Let me go!" the she-wolf screamed.
Maeve put her shoes back on her feet and ran towards the place she knew that he was in. She needed to know why are the two looking like roadkills and he was the only person that could give her the answers when she didn't like to talk to the beta.
It was slowly a coming habit for her to run around the halls. The maids didn't like that but no one ever told her to stop it. If truth to be told she loved running, it reminded her of the meadow she always dreamt of.
Someday she will go there and watch the flowers grow and birds sing.
The human didn't bother to knock on the door of the Great Hall. She rushed straight in only to find the father of her child standing next to a window.
"C-Cato is back with his mate." She breathed out.
After her words, a knock could be heard on the door. Maeve paled and walked closer to the man in the room. She did not want to be on the way of the man she despited at least not alone.
Dominic didn't say anything but kept staring at the door. Soon it opened and the two souls walked in with blood covering their clothes. The human gasped. What happened to them?
The bloody beta bowed his head down and turned to look at the woman next to her that looked like she had seen a ghost. After a second she did a small curtsey and started to look at her hands.
"We were ambushed."
The king took a few steps closer to the human, "Where." It was a question towards the blood covered persons but it didn't seem like a question. Like he would have known everything already.
Maeve turned her eyes to look at the she-wolf. She was truly pale as a corpse. Last time the human saw her she was full of happiness and color on her face, a blushed cheeks made the perfect contrast to her pale freckled skin. Now the blush was long gone and it looked that her freckles had blanched too.
"Foley?" The alpha male asked.
His second hand shook his head and muttered the words that made the she-wolf whimper, "Her uncle," everyone turned to look at the pale Elena.
The pain in her eyes made a knot appear in Maeve's stomach. It made her think about the baby inside of her womb. What if the little baby will never see the sun? What if he or she will lose their family? The thoughts made her put her hands over her abdomen.
The gesture didn't go unnoticed by the father of the unborn baby.
Scenarios of her baby being born in a world without love. Of how the baby would grow to be a coldhearted bastard. Maeve's eyes turned to look at the man close to her. He grew in an environment where love did not exist. How his mother never hugged him or tugged him to bed and by the stories she had heard about his father, he was no better at the concept of love.
How could he love the baby if he hasn't felt love himself?
On that moment Maeve made a promise to herself. She will not allow her child to grow up and be like its father. The fetus inside her was her family now, the child will be her only family if you don't count the man her heart cries for.
A hand made an impact with her shoulder. Without even looking at the owner of the hand Maeve knew who it belonged to, she could recognize his touch. As soon as the hand touched her skin so did the two werewolves leave.
The touch made her go even deeper to her own thoughts. A child will be the person who it's parents will raise the child to be. Her mother raised her to be a kindhearted person who does not think the worst of others and that is what Maeve will raise her child to be. No matter what someone else will say about it.
Maeve watched as the woman who she thinks as her friend and the male she hates at the moment walked away. How their backs disappeared and how she was left alone in the room with Dominic.
Every time they were alone something shifted in her. Not knowing if it is the bond between them or has she really started to feel natural around him. The same has happened to him, or that is at least what the human thinks. He is different than in the first days she had met him.
He has changed, not much but she can see it sometimes when they are alone.
Some nights Maeve can see herself back on the rotten cell with his hands around her neck suffocating her. Those are things that she will never be able to forget. But people can change, in his case, there hasn't been a big chance but everything starts with small things. And that thing for Maeve is that no more can she see the disgust in his eyes.
Maeve looked at her stomach and sighed.
Lifting her eyes from the growing living being inside of her she asked the question that has been burning holes in her head. She needed to know, "Have y-" Maeve stopped at the middle of her sentence taking another deep breath "You ever l-loved somebody?"
A not-so-beautiful silence filled the room.
Now only by thinking about it, the human regretted her question. She wanted to know if he is capable of loving the baby.
Oh,
An embarrassing thought came to her mind. He probably thinks that Maeve meant herself when she asked that question.
Dominic turned to look straight into her eyes, "Once, but he is dead." Not a single emotion could be seen on his face.
A huge question mark appeared on Maeve's mind. He?
"My father," He continued and turned to look at the window.
The human started to study his face. Now like usual, his face was emotionless but just a second ago when he said the person he has loved an anger flashed through his eyes.
"It's getting late you should go to sleep."
Dominic is right about that, Mave thought and looked outside. If she hadn't seen the two travelers walk towards the castle covered in blood she would be sleeping right now.
So, the pregnant human walked next to him and tiptoed to kiss his cheek.
"Good night," She said smiling and left the room. Before she had closen the door she heard a quiet mutter on the room.
"Good night."

The blue Astrum of memories
Some of you believe in fate and some of you don't. That's ok in our world. In the world that I created Fate has been acting strange and selfish for a long time. She was always fascinated with humans and the fact that they had soulmates because a lot of other races didn't. Ever since humans started traveling through space, that opened millions of new opportunities for Fate to make the human soulmates meet. However, because of her strange behaviour Fate made too many mistakes. After that, Fate made what she thought, was a good move. What she didn't count on was that the good move she made knew that you can cheat fate. One and his crew don't know how ironic it is that she chose them to make her good move. ------------------------------- I didn't use any movies, books or series for inspiration the story is my original work. This is just the result of my weird imagination and brain telling me what to write. I hope you liked it :) It’s just a story, like all of my other stores. It doesn’t have a deeper spiritual, moral or ethical meaning.
