POV Dayanara.

I woke up, feeling excited. It was finally my birthday, so I was going to move in with Alexander. My uncle had already left for work. Yesterday, Alexander snuck in and helped me pack my stuff.

I got dressed and stuffed my pajamas in my bag as well. I was putting on my shoes and then the doorbell rang. "Since when does Alexander use the doorbell?" I mumbled, walking down the stairs with my two bags.

"Happy birthday!" He smiled brightly when I opened the door.

"Thanks!" I grinned as he pulled me to him. He wrapped me in his arms and I smiled, I'll never get tired of his hugs.

"I got you this." He handed me a small box. I opened it and there laid a black Iphone 6!

"Alexander!" I gasped.

"I know it's nothing much but atleast it's something." He said nervously.

"Alexander, I can't take this." I shook my head.

"What you don't like it?" His eyes widened and he started pacing. "I knew I just should've gotten you the Iphone 8."

"No that's not what I mean!" I exclaimed and stood infront of him. "It's too expsensive, I can't accept it."

"No, I want you to have it." He pushed it back towards me.

"Why?" I questioned.

"Because you don't have a mind link and I want to be able to reach at any time of the day." He answered truthfully. "Come on, Daniel must be waiting."

"Daniel?" I said confused as he picked up my baggage.

"Oh, I didn't tell you. Must've slipped my mind." He said thoughtfully. "He is coming too."

"Really?!" I gasped in excitement.

"Yes, but he is staying at the pack's orphanage." He added with a regretful look on his face while throwing the bags in the trunk of his Range Rover. "I can't take him into the house, he'll be safer in there. Is that okay?" He held his arm out.

"I understand." I nodded, linking my arms with him. "I'm already grateful that you're taking the both of us in and you gave me a phone." I rang the doorbell.

"Daniel! They're here!" Mrs. Carter yelled.

"Coming!" He ran towards us with his bags. After greeting us we went on our way.

When we arrived, we dropped Daniel off at the orphanage first. But he clung to me for half an hour, which I completely understood. When he did let go, he started to look around and immediately made friends. We said goodbye and I told the caretaker to call me if anything was wrong.

Alexander and I moved everything to my new room, that was on the opposite of his room on the Alpha floor. He insisted I'd live with him, on the Alpha floor because technically, I'm an Alpha as well.

"I'll be right back." He told be before exiting my room.

"Is he gone?" I heard someone whisper.

"I think he is." A louder voice replied. "Me first!" It added and then my door bursted open.

"Happy birthday Dayanara!" Gabriel said loudly while hugging me, sweeping me off my feet.

"Thanks Gabriel." I smiled as he put me down.

"Congrats." Mateo smiled and wrapped me in his arms.

"You got three seconds to let go." A low voice was heard, one that I knew all too well. Angelo had taken over Alexander's body.

"Letting go." Mateo put his hands up in surrender. He stepped away from me, allowing me to see Alexander but his eyes were black.

"Angelo, calm down." Gabriel said.

"Xavier, Julio, get out." Angelo snapped. He called them by their wolves' names.

Both of them bowed their heads before walking out. When they were gone, Angelo wasted no time to pull me to him.

"I'm okay." I assured. "They were just congratulating me."

"They were too close." Angelo growled. "They could've hurt you."

"They wouldn't." I shook my head. "You've known them since forever."

"That doesn't matter! They could easily hurt you! You're just a she wolf!" He yelled at me.

"Just a she wolf?!" I scoffed. "Get out!" Angelo growled at my tone and tried to grab my arm but I pulled away. "I'm serious! Leave! You can come back when Alexander is in control."

He roared loudly and left, slamming the door on his way out. Sadness took over me when I realized just got in my first real fight with Alexander. Well Angelo but that doesn't really matter.

I laid on the bed feeling sorry for myself. "Dayanara?" A soft knock on the door was heard.

"Yeah?" I asked, sitting up.

"We're sorry." The door opened, revealing the guilty faces from the Beta and the Gamma.

"It's okay." I shrugged. "Maybe it was a mistake of me to move in."

"No, it wasn't." Mateo said gently while sitting down on my bed.

"Maybe it was, maybe I should move out." I pondered. "I guess I could go to a small motel for a while."

"No!" Gabriel stated. "You're not risking your safety just because Alexander is being an asshole."

"Maybe I will." I shrugged and got up. I grabbed some nice clothes and went to the bathroom, locking the door behind me.

"Xander!" Gabriel's voice boomed. Angelo didn't like the tone he used, neither did I. Best friend or not, I'm still his Alpha.

"What!?" I growled, Angelo was already surfacing.

"What did you do to Dayanara?!" He stormed into my office.

"I didn't do anything!" I stood up and the chair fell back.

"Yes, you did! She is talking about moving out!" He growled.

"It wasn't him!" Theo came in. "It was Angelo." He sighed.

"Stay out of me and my mate's business!" I snapped.

"I will! But when she starts crying, I'm going to get involved!" Theo answered.

"Go talk to her." Gabriel motioned his head to the door. "She feels rejected and sad. She's even crying."

"I'm going! I'm going!" I threw my hands in the air.

I knocked on her door softly. "Open the door, tesoro." I said. It wasn't even locked but I wasn't gonna barge in.

I heard her stand up and she opened enough for her to peek out. "Yes?" She whispered.

"I'm sorry." I stated. "I lost control, Angelo didn't mean it like that."

"He said that I'm just a she wolf and that I can't protect myself." She frowned. "It's not my fault that I can't shift and don't have a mate." Her words stung my heart.

'You do have a mate, I'm your mate.' I wanted to say it but I decided against it. "You don't need a mate, you're strong enough. And you have a Beta and a Gamma wrapped around your finger."

"No, I don't. I only have an Alpha." She grinned, opening the door wider.

"I'm serious." I wrapped my hands around her waist and smiled when she leaned into my touch. "Gabriel just stormed in my office and started yelling at me, Theo even backed him up. Both of them took your side even though I'm their Alpha." But you're their Luna, I thought.

"I'm glad that they like me." She smiled. "It would've been awkward to live here if they hated me."

"I bet they like you more than they like me." I nodded. "You look beautiful by the way." She was wearing black jeans with a grey crop top. Even though I don't want anyone to see her like but me.

"Thanks, these are the nice clothes that I own. Along with a red blouse." She said. I remember that blouse.

"We can go shopping." I suggested.

"That sounds great but I don't have a job yet." She pouted.

"Don't be silly, I'll pay." I smiled.

"Alexander," she sighed, I love the way my name rolls off her tongue. "You've already done so much, I won't be able to repay you."

"That's fine." I pulled her along to my bedroom. I rummaged through my closet and then found what I was looking for. "Wear this, it's kinda chilly." I handed her my red flannel. It wasn't chilly at all but I wanted my scent to cover her. That way no one would dare to harm her.

"Alright." She put it on but left it open. I followed her back to her room like a lost puppy. I watched her as she put on her shoes. They looked like Timberlands but they had a thick heel underneath them.

"I'm ready." She stood up. Usually, she reached just beneath my chin but now she reached my eyes.

"You're almost as tall as me now." I commented.

"I know." She grinned, still looking up at me a bit. "I always feel small with you, Gabriel and Mateo."

"Now you're about the same height as Theo, maybe one inch smaller." I compared.

"Wait!" I dragged her into my office. "Here." I showed her a gold necklace with a Ruby. Every Alpha has one, it's for their mate. I was surprised when she didn't recognize it as a special necklace. I'm positive her mom had one.

"It's gorgeous!" She gasped as I put it on her.

"Let's go to the mall." I smiled, she nodded and linked her arm around mine.
