POV Alexander.

I was in Dayanara's room, laying on the bed. She was in the bathroom. I have no clue what she is doing in there but she had been in there for twenty minutes.

I got up and went to the bathroom door. When I got there, I heard a sharp intake of breath, almost like a wince. "Dayanara, are you okay?"

"I'm fine." She assured.

"Open the door, tesoro." I said softly. The door went off the lock and I walked in. "What's wrong?" I asked when I noticed her staring at the floor.

"I have bruise on my shoulder, it just hurts." She waved it off.

"Let me see." I tried to move her shirt to the side.

"No!" She exclaimed and turned away from me. I got shocked because she got so defensive. "I mean, I'll be fine. It'll heal."

"Dayanara," I started but got cut off by a car door shutting. Her eyes widened as she pushed me out of the bathroom.

"You have to leave!" She whispered loudly while pulling me towards the balcony door. "He's home early!"

I jumped out of the window, landing swiftly on my feet. I glanced around and then jumped the fence, into her neighbor's yard. I dusted myself off when I noticed an older woman rushing towards me.

"Are you okay?" She asked worried.

"I'm fine." I looked down on her since she was so small. "Thank you."

"A- Alpha Kingston." She stammered, I just nodded in conformation. "Alpha, what are you doing here?"

"My mate lives next door but her uncle was coming home." I answered. The lady's eyes widened and her heartbeat accelerated. "What's wrong?"

"Alpha, your mate, she is getting abused." The lady whispered.

"WHAT?!" I roared as I started to shake. I felt Angelo trying to come out.

"Alpha, please calm down." The woman begged. "Let's go inside." I sat down on the couch and she sat infront of me.

"There were multiple times where she'd be kicked out at night. I always take her in a patch up her wounds." She told me.

"Thank you so much, for taking care of my mate." I said.

"Who is he, granny?" A young voice asked. A little boy came out of the hallway and he ran towards the woman.

"It's Daya's friend, Alpha Alexander." She replied as the kid hid behind her.

"Who is he?" I asked, nodding my head to the little boy.

"This is Daniel. Dayanara found him when he was a baby. He was left in his crib but his parents were murdered." The lady explained. "She took him with her when she went to live with her aunt. But when her aunt passed, she brought him here. Because she was afraid that something might happen to him."

"Sir, are you a werewolf?" The boy asked while approaching me. "Like Daya?"

"I am." I nodded. "Do you want to see my wolf?"

"Yes please! Daya never shows me her wolf anymore." He pouted, confusing me.

The lady must've noticed my look. "His first memory is of her shifting."

"Dayanara can shift?" I asked while we walked into the backyard. The lady went back to washing the dishes.

"She could but I don't think she can anymore." He pondered. "She used let me play with her wolf."

"What did her wolf look like?" I asked.

"She has a big black wolf with a white crescent moon between her eyes." He explained excited. "And she has bright green eyes."

"Alright, close your eyes for a second and then I'll shift." I said and he obeyed. He closed them and put his hands over them.

I stripped and shifted. Once I was done, Angelo laid down and barked softly. Daniel opened his eyes and they widened in excitement.

"You have a lightning bolt!" His little hand traced the white bolt on my head. Angelo barked and Daniel giggled. Angelo positioned himself so Daniel could climb on his back.

Carefully he stood up and Daniel squealed as he held onto my fur.

~~~
After playing around for one and a half hour, I shifted and jumped the fence again. But not before I gave the lady my number, so she could call me if something happened.
I climbed on the balcony and peeked inside. I noticed that my mate wasn't in there but I went inside anyway.
"Oh my God!" Her angelic voice invaded my ears. "Alexander, what the hell are you doing here?!" She closed the door behind her. She looked at the floor as I approached her.
"I know." I whispered as I stood infront of her.
"What do you know? You'll have to be more spec-" I cut her off.
"I know about the abuse." My voice turned cold and her eyes snapped to mine. "You're moving out."
"What? Alexander-" She said.
"No! Don't Alexander me!" I waved my arms and noticed her flinch, causing me to growl. "You know better than this! You know that domestic violence is dangerous."
"I'm turning eighteen in a week, then I'll legally move out." She whispered, fear laced in her voice and my heart clenched.
"You're moving in with me." I stated and she looked at me confused. "In my house, with my pack, where you'll be safe."
"Alright, I don't have anywhere else to go." She shrugged.
"Show me." I demanded.
"Show you what?" She asked.
"Show me what he did to you." Anger clear in my voice. Anger towards her uncle, the moron who dared to do this. I already noticed the cut on her lip.
"I don't think you should see it." She shook her head. "You just found out and I don't want you to get angry any more."
"I'm already angry." I growled.
"I'm sorry I didn't want to get involved or burden you." She turned her gaze to the floor. "Please don't be mad at me."
"I'm mad at myself. That I didn't notice it, that I didn't look into it." I closed my eyes to stop myself from losing control. "That I couldn't protect you."
I felt her hand on my cheek and I opened my eyes. Only to see her hazel eyes staring back at me. "It's not your fault." She said softly and I held the hand that was on my cheek.
"I'm sorry." I whispered.
"I'm sorry." He whispered solfty. "Please show me."
I sighed but nodded. I lifted my shirt and turned, showing the bruises on my back. I heard him gasp and he traced his fingers over them, leaving a trail of tingles. I slowly turned around and looked at him.
His gaze was on my ribs and then I saw that Alexander had teared up. When his eyes met mine, a lone tear streamed down his face. "I'm so sorry." His voice cracked and my heart broke.
"It's not your fault." I shook my head and pulled him into my arms.
"I wasn't there to protect you." I felt his tears on the place where my shoulder meets my neck. His hands crept under my shirt, caressing the bruises, almost like he was soothing the pain.
I had one hand on the nape of his neck while the other ran through his hair. Alexander kept mumbling sorry over and over.
After ten minutes, I pulled away. "You should go."
"I'm not leaving you, not again." He shook his head.
"I'll be okay, the worst part is over." I assured. "And you soothed the pain." I smiled.
"But-"
"You have to go to dinner with your family." I chuckled at his pout.
"If he does something, go to your neighbor." He ordered while letting go.
"I will, now go." She pushed me towards the balcony door.
"Bye." He whispered before jumping off my balcony.
I locked the door and went to bathroom. I took off my shirt and turned my back to the mirror. When I glanced over my shoulder, I noticed that the bruises were already fading. Which is odd because they usually stay for two weeks.
"Must be because of Alexander." I shrugged and went to my room.
