Lexa was so confused. What did her dad know that she didn't know? And why was Clarke able to talk to him but not her?

She started hearing the songs Clarke wrote about her playing from the bathroom, confusing her even more.

Then she started to hear them talking. She wasn't able to make out what they were saying, not that she wanted to know anyway. She wanted Clarke to tell her when she was ready.

Soon after she started hearing Clarke cry. Her heart broke. The only two times she ever saw and heard Clarke cry was when she got shot. She cried the whole first day, hugging Lexa as she did. Then she cried when they were telling her dad what happened. She wanted to run in there and hug Clarke so bad.

A little while later the crying stopped, replaced by sniffles before both of them came out of the bathroom.

"Are you okay Clarke?" Lexa asked.

"I'm sorry," Clarke said.

"Sorry? Sorry for what? You didn't do anything."

"I yelled at you."

"Because I hurt you."

"But I didn't explain why your hand on my wrist hurt. And I'm sorry for not talking to you."

"It's fine, you weren't ready. Are you ready now?"

"Kinda. Umm, there are some things I'm not ready to tell you...I'll tell you just not right now."

"So what is it you wanna tell me?"

"Remember how I told you my dad died in a car accident and killed that family of four?" Clarke asked getting a nod from Lexa. "Well, my mom lied a- about all of it. She made those people die."

"Wait what? What do you mean?"

"She saw him driving and tried sideswiping him or something. And so he swerved and hit the car."

"Oh my god, really?"

"Yeah, and he didn't die. H- he's alive."

"What?"

"He came to the house today. Apparently, my mom has been paying him to stay away and to not go to the police about what really happened."

"I- I- oh my god, how are you feeling?"

"I mean as messed up as it sounds I'm upset he's not dead."

"After everything he put you through, that's not messed up. Not at all Clarke," Gustus said.

"And I'm angry and hurt that my mom lied to me. But other than that, I just- I don't know. I don't know how to explain how I feel."

"I'm so sorry baby."

"It's fine. And for why I yelled at you...umm this is why," Clarke said pulling up her sleeve to show a bruise on her wrist that looked like it was darkening by the second.

"Clarke, oh my god. Are you okay? How did this happen?"

Clarke's only response was pulling up her shirt to show two more bruises, one on her stomach and one on her side. Lexa covered her mouth and stuttered not being able to make a full sentence.

"He did this. I tried leaving, to come here, but he was pissed because I was talking back to him. Umm so yeah, that- that's why I yelled when you were grabbing my wrist...it hurt."

"I'm so sorry, baby I'm so sorry."

"Stop saying sorry you couldn't have known and you couldn't have stopped it even if you did."

"Can I hug you?" Lexa asked getting a nod from the blonde.

As Lexa hugged Clarke, she heard little sniffles and felt the blonde hugging her tighter. She started whispering how much she love her causing Clarke to hug her even tighter.

"Do you wanna lay down?"

"N- No, I wanna take a shower. Can you take one with me?"

"I want to, I really want to, I wanna be with you and never let you go, but I don't think my dad will let-"

"He will, he already said okay," Clarke said interrupting Lexa.

"He did?" Lexa asked getting a nod from Clarke. She looked over at her dad who also nodded his head.

"I'll go make Clarke some food while you guys shower," Gustus said.

"Thank you, Dad."

"Of course," he said walking out of the room.

Clarke held on to Lexa's hand tightly as they walked over to the bathroom. The only time she let go was to take off her clothes. At some point during the shower, Clarke finally did let go as she turned to put her head under the water.

"I love you," Lexa said as she moved Clarke's hair to the side and kissed her shoulder, "so, so much."

"I love you too."

"Do you realize how much I love you and how beautiful you are?" Lexa asked as her hands gently wrapped around Clarke's waist. "You are so beautiful, just drop-dead gorgeous."

Clarke turned so she was facing Lexa and kissed her, "You know you don't have to say all that, right?"

"Say what, the truth?" Lexa asked as she looked into ocean blue eyes. "I love your eyes, they're the most beautiful blue I've ever seen, I don't think I've ever seen a blue this beautiful before." Lexa's eyes moved down to Clarke's lips, "And your lips, god your lips, there just so soft and perfect. You know, I never thought I'd say I love someone's nose before," Lexa said as she looked at Clarke's nose, "but yours is so cute, you have an adorable little button nose." She watched as Clarke turned to the side, trying to hide how she was blushing, and at the same time Lexa noticed Clarke's ears, "Or ears, I never thought I could love someone's ears before, but yours are so adorably cute, I don't know how to explain it, they just so cute." Clarke turned back towards her rolling her eyes which made Lexa look at Clarke's beauty mark, "And your beauty mark, I think that might be my favorite, I don't know why but it just is, for some reason it suits you, and I love it." Lexa watched as a smile spread across Clarke's face, "No, I was wrong, your smile is my favorite. I love it so much, it's just so beautiful, it could light up a whole room. You smiling makes me smile, it makes me so happy to see that beautiful smile."

"Why are you saying all this?"

"Because it's true."

"No, it isn't."

"Baby, yes it is."

"No...no, it really isn't."

"Clarke," Lexa said softly as she moved wet hair away from the blonde's face, "why are you saying this? You know that's not true."

"I- I- can you kiss me? I- I just want you to kiss me right now."

"Of course."

Lexa's hand went to Clarke's neck, pulling her closer. As Clarke's hands went to Lexa's waist also pulling her closer. They shared a soft, warm kiss.

Clarke's hands were moving up and down Lexa's back, trying to feel as much of her as possible. While one of Lexa's hands stayed at Clarke's neck, pulling her closer and deepening the kiss, her other hand went to Clarke's back, holding her.

Clarke's hand moved down Lexa's body. She kept going till she got to Lexa's butt and squeezed, causing Lexa to let out a moan as she pushed herself closer to Clarke. The blonde did it again a little harder making Lexa push her body into her even more. Clarke stumbled back, hitting the tiles, pulling Lexa with her.

Lexa moaned against Clarke's lip as the blonde squeezed for a third time before she decided to pull away, so Clarke wouldn't be able to do it again.

"We- we shouldn't."

"Please, I need you."

"I- I- I'm sorry, we can't. My family is home and your still not thinking straight."

"I need you, we can be quiet...and when I have I ever thought straight?" Clarke said earning a chuckle from the brunette. "Please."

"I- I- I,"

"I'm not trying to pressure you, but if the only reason you're really saying no is because I'm sad a- and angry, it'll help. It might sound stupid but it really helps me."

"How?"

"It lets me forget about everything for a while. I don't...I don't know how to explain it, it just does."

"I- I-" Lexa watched as a whispered plead fell from Clarke's lips. "Quiet."
